Easy access from Highway 198 located in a neighborhood shopping complex. Tempura Shrimp Vegetable Combo. Plate; simple, quick and a hearty meal. Idea for me as I was on a limited time schedule during lunch. *** David, Ari Gato for preparing my order in prompt matter ***

Service is hit or miss. Food is mediocre at best. The menu looks good, but actual product is quite sad. I’m actually surprised about how busy it gets sometimes. So many other better places out there, but it’s good for a quick order of steamed rice when I’m too lazy to make rice or just don’t have time. However, keep in mind that a side of rice here is more expensive than other Asian restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend. Not really even worth reviewing but I’m bored.

Chicken bowl was pretty good but place is falling apart and is dirty looking. Other places in town are clean.

Would of totally gave this place a 5 star after returning from my previous review but… the white chubby girl behind the counter changed my mind. I ordered a chicken salad(half size) because a dear friend of mine had one and it looked so delicious! And yes it was! I am so impressed with the size, and the wonderful taste of the dressing! I can’t wait to order again. Ok. so here is what went wrong.1. Ordered my salad. 2. Customer behind me ordered same thing. 3. Girl behind me gets her salad before me?!! «Huh». We ordered the same thing,.I’m in a rush too.okay. 4. Get my salad, handed to me rudely, and she didn’t even say thank you, or your welcome when I said«thank you».ya.not very impressed with the customer service right now.

If you want a teriyaki bowl than this is the place as long as you don’t order anything else. Their sushi inedible.

Cheap Japanese food to go. Not even made by Japanese people. It has simple ‘Japanese food’ but not authentic.

Chicken here is very fresh you can see them cooking in the back). It’s fantastic over rice or in their yummy salad. There food is very simple but has good authentic flavor. Great for take out but I wouldn’t bring my family here to dine in. It’s gets pretty crowded around noon and the customer service is ok(they forgot my sauce a few times)

This place is gross. From the food to the dining area. Gross. The staff was friendly. That’s about the only good thing I can say. Avoid this place. There are many other Asian places around that are far better quality.

Food is amazing but customer service is Horrible. I went to the one on Akers and Goshen I bought an extra sauce the girl just threw on the counter and turned away. When I walked in no one welcomed us no thank. Next time around I drive across town hoping they would have better service this place was just as bad. Never going to eat there again :(

Eh… it’s not too terrible if you are wanting some quick Japanese food. Definitely not very authentic, but it will curb the craving if you have it. My husband and I went there about an hour before they closed. While we were sitting at one of the tables to eat, an employee started mopping the floor with some solution that smelled strongly of Pinsol Cleaner. It really made it hard to enjoy the rest of our food, so we boxed it up and left. If you are wanting a quick lunch and are wanting cheap Japanese food, then come here.

Great prices and food. Though it’s not at all fancy, it was clean and staff was very friendly. Menu had a great variety and prices were very good. Tempura veggies on rice was excellent and spicy tuna roll was good.

Not good. Don’t waste your money. Maybe we were there on a bad day but the meat was burnt and way too salty. Noodles were mushy. And it was 20 dollars for 2 people for lunch and the wait was over 20 minutes for 2 bowls of noodles.

Not my idea of a fastfood/takeout Japanese eatery. Haven’t returned and won’t be.

We have never been disappointed here. The chicken is so tender and they are very generous with it in the salad and bowls.

Far too expensive for what you get. The chicken bowls are plain old American wannabe Japanese bowls with dry chicken. The sushi is a big roll of sticky rice and seaweed paper. Can’t taste anything else. For $ 5 go to one of the real Japanese restaurants in town.

Masaru’s is my FAVORITE. I love it so much. I don’t like anyone who doesn’t like it here. This one is my favorite, the original is always better. It’s very convenient and close to my house, which makes me pretty freakin happy. I always eat way too much when I come here, it’s so good. Although some of the workers can get kinda snobby, So I always go when the nice lady is working(I think her name is Carrie?). Let me just say though, I would not eat the sushi. Not very fresh. I love everything else though, it’s all so amazing. My favorites? The chicken bowl, beef bowl, gyoza(oh my god, best gyoza ever), beef sticks, tempura is good, the chicken salad is amazing, and miso. All of the juices and sodas they have are great. When I go, I usually get a chicken bowl(minus the green onions, and i usually opt out of the teriyaki sauce they put on the bottom), along with an order of gyoza, and a ramune soda. I always pour some of the gyoza sauce on the bowl(go for this instead of a spicy bowl). I love this place so much. Not many places could beat it.

I eat here at least once a week, and I’m not a relative or employee. The quality and quantity of food is appropriate for the $mall price you pay for a good meal. If you are are looking for a great Japanese sitdown dinner this isn’t the place you want. If you are looking for a good, fast Japanese meal this is the place for you.

Spicy chicken teriyaki bowl: dry chicken pieces over white rice with some sauce poured over it. Not bad, filled me up, but not memorable or worth getting again. Sushi rolls: Are you kidding? This is the saddest sushi I’ve seen. Almost all rice with a tiny circle of something in the center. Don’t bother. About the same quality as the premade rolls at Savemart. Gyoza was okay, but then again, how do you mess up premade frozen potstickers that you just throw in a deep fryer? Ambience: Well, you order at a counter, there’s a few scattered tables and it’s harshly lit. Typical strip mall spot they haven’t fixed up. PLUS they charge for refills on soda. Lame.

Family owned, great service and great food! I love coming here! They haven’t raised their prices in years and are the same price as a burger across the street but way better for you. Also a great place to pick up those Asian snacks you can’t seem to find most places. Not filled with a bunch of veggies like some other places to save money. Usually these last me two meals. Definitely recommend!
