Add at least an hour to your scheduled appt time. O for 3 with this place. Also: fitted my wife wrong for contacts, we’ll see if they make good after lagging today. 2 for 69 glasses apparently doesn’t work for everyone either

This is the used car sales lot of eyeglass places. The staff is nice enough, which is the only reason for two stars, but the wait is ridiculous and the cost is NOT what they advertise. Spent a lot more than anticipated and didn’t like the way the final transaction was handled. Lots of sneaky add-on costs. I needed the glasses so I bought them, but I will not be back. There is no one-hour service — took almost a week to get the same glasses I got in under two hours somewhere else and cost twice as much.

There are too many other reputable Eye wear stores to go to. This store unfortunately preys on customers on a limited budget with their false advertising of cheap glasses for an extremely limited stock. I fortunately have the luxury to shop around but decided to try the new place to get some lenses replaced on a fourth pair of glasses that I use for work around the house, nothing special. The lab work was sufficient but pretty much what I would expect anywhere else and the front staff were friendly. The problem was that they tell you the glasses will be ready by a certain date and then they do not meet their own deadlines and then don’t take a couple minutes to call you and say they are behind schedule. In addition the owner(or manager I’m not sure) is about the most unprofessional and unfriendly person in that office. He needs a real attitude adjustment and unfortunately he can’t see it. He was having a conversation with me about matching the competitors price and then after not coming to an agreement just walked away without a thanks for stopping by or anything. Too many other establishments to give my business to without having to put up with so so customer service that obviously is broken starting at the top. I will definitely not go there next year when using my corporate benefits.

Wow! I went in worried about how the service would be after reading reviews in different places but wow were those reviews ever so wrong! At least for us! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very nice lady(didn’t catch her name) the lady that did our initial exam was extremely polite and the doctor was so funny! And last but certainly not least Frank and Francine were the best!!! They definitely went above and beyond to ensure we had the greatest experience today! I will definitely be recommending Stanton Optical in Visalia to all my friends and family!

You get what you pay for… Scheduling an appointment online was easy. When I arrived, the associate behind the counter was so busy texting she didn’t even notice me standing right in front of her. I could have cleared my throat, but it was a challenge to see how long I could stand there before she even noticed me. It wasn’t until she had finished whatever conversation she was having and put her phone in her pocket that she looked up. The optometrist was condescending and gave me least thorough eye exam I have ever received. Even when I had questions, he wouldn’t answer them and just seemed to want to get me out of there. It went so fast that I am concerned if my prescription will even work. The frames selection was so-so, however when you start adding anything to the lenses that just ups the price to a level that makes it unreasonable. I took my prescription to Costco to be filled and they had to call and question the prescription, because it was lacking vital information. The one star is for the fact I could make a same day appointment. The rest of the experience was sorely lacking in both professionalism, and quality.

I was really excited to try out Stanton but I did not expect the experience I had. I walked in and wasn’t greeted. Only reason why one of the girls in the front greeted me was because I was already walking towards her. Fine, I let it go trying to give this place a chance. She then just tells me to sign up at the front. And so I did. Not before being confused as to where to go or where exactly to sign up though. I sit down and just wait. No one bothered to follow up with me to see if I was a new patient especially since I figured I might’ve had to do some paperwork. Nothing! I felt absolutely ignored. It was not a welcoming friendly environment. The customer service was just awful. So I just crossed out my name and walked out. Mind you no one bothered to say a word to me. I would not recommend going to this place.

We brought our own prescription from another doctor, and got a much better deal here then we could have there. We are so glad to get two pairs, one regular one and one for sunglasses. We plan to come back before summer and get our baby a pair also. Customer service was excellent couldn’t ask for more!

It seems that my review was removed as well and that only good reviews are posted for Stanton Optical. My wife went there to get glasses and $ 660 later she came home. It was only after calling the Stanton Corporate office I found out about their very short cancelation policy. I have documented proof of everything I am writing in my review that would stand up in a civil court process. It is sad when a company like this takes advantage of people with the old bait and switch tactic.

It seems the last review I wrote was removed. I am assuming it’s because I exploited their tactic. See I went there about a month ago for the«buy 2 pairs for $ 70 plus free eye exam» deal. Well you end up paying $ 40 right off the bat for the eye exam, but they tell you that when you pick out your glasses you’re reimbursed that $ 40. What they DONOT tell you is that you only have a small variety/selection of glasses to choose from with the $ 70-deal. If you end up not liking what they have for that deal… you’re still out the $ 40 for the eye exam. They don’t tell you all of this up front. My advice for ANYONE wanting this offer is to ask to see their selection of glasses for the 2-for-$ 70 deal FIRST before agreeing to anything. Because you can’t just choose any pair in the store for this offer. By the way… I posted this once before and it seems Stanton Optical removed it. I’ll keep posting this each time it is removed. People need to know about this trap they are walking into.

Holy crap, I was amazed by the service and helpfulness I received here from Sabrina! She’s super polite and knowledgeable about any questions you might have. Sabrina got me some great deals for 2 pairs of glasses, honored my online coupon, saved me a ton of money, AND she’s fun to talk to :) The frames here are buy one pair get one free and so are the lenses. For my 2 brand new glasses I paid less than $ 150, even with my crazy prescription lenses which they actually had in stock! With all the money I saved, I went to the Bevmo across the street and bought a few bottles of Fireball, vodka, and Malibu :) All in all, it was a great shopping experience, I highly recommend this eye care center. Placed my order for 2 pair of glasses. One pair was ready but I had to return twice to get them straightened. The second pair took over a month to get done. They blamed the«vendor», then they messed up the lenses then the«vendor» was the problem and on and on. I will not ever buy glasses there again. Overpriced glasses; unorganized, lazy attendants. Inferior to the max.

Great customer service. The doc did an extremely thorough exam. Stephanie provided excellent customer service in helping me choose the right frames. She was very patient in working with my budget as well. Overall, an excellent place to get reasonable glasses! I highly recommend this place and plan to come back.

You can get glasses anywhere, but you would be hard pressed to find better customer satisfaction than you will at Stanton. Clinton — the store manager, is the best. He goes beyond to make sure you get the best product, in a timely manner. Sabrina is a gem. She is patient and throrough. This store has improved by leaps and bounds over the last year. The staff has expanded, the doctors have gotten better and they even have a lab for same day service. For glasses, contacts or even shades, you won’t find a better deal, better selection or better price anywhere. My kids change prescriptions every year, you better believe Clinton and the Crew at Stanton will be my first and only stop.

First I called ahead to make sure if they took my insurance and the receptionist told they did so I went ahead and made an appoint my family. We get there and it was the longest wait ever. After we get done with our exams the girl tha works there tell me that she made a mistake and they don’t take my insurance!!! She should of told me that in the first place! Before my family had already had there exam and I had already ordered there glasses! This places was way to expesnse! I don’t recommened any one going there. Then a couple day later when my contact were ready it want even the right order and the girl was try to convice me to take them home any way!!!

I had an appointment and when I entered I was not greeted, just pretty much ignored. I was waiting to see if any of the employees would acknowledge me. I finally discovered that there was a sign in sheet so I put down my name. I overhead the optician ask a man if he has been helped. The customer responded they have been waiting. He then asked the customer if he was given the paperwork to complete and he responded no. The optician then informed him it would be about a half hour wait. I went over to the sign in sheet, crossed my name off in front of the optician and walked out. He never said a word to me. The place gave me a bad feeling as soon as I walked in and so glad I walked out.
