I’m in love with their biscuits and gravy. I’ve been coming here for years just for that! Their country fried steak is delicious too :) they have great customer service and the food is out fast even when they’re busy! If you want to skip the mad rush in the morning call for take out :)

In town for a family funeral and this place was recommended. Breakfast was quick, hot, and pretty tasty. Chicken fried steak was crispy yet tender, definitely tasty. Biscuits and gravy was just okay… biscuits were kind of chewy, nothing memorable. My husband loved the home style potatoes and my hash browns were cooked spot on. This place is DEFINITELY better than Denny’s or IHOP!

Its decent. I would go there occasionally when they were at the old location. Now it is simply too far a drive.

The biscuits and gravy used to be amazing when this restaurant was located over on Main. But after eating at their new location twice, it’s not very good. Biscuits aren’t as big or fluffy(more like hard and small and chewy) and the gravy had red chili peppers in it, with seeds!!! If I wanted chili peppers I would have gone to a Mexican restaurant. Adding this to your gravy needs to be posted on your menu, else you run the risk of a lawsuit should someone be allergic to them! The old recipe of country gravy was better. The waitresses all seem in such a rush, they don’t take time to listen to customers anymore. I’ll just find somewhere else to go eat breakfast from now on. A shame to have seen this happen to a restaurant that used to be so good.

Food and service are top notch! Every time I go there is a wait, but it’s well worth it. Make sure you try the biscuits and gravy, my favorite!

I’ve ate here several times only because it’s in walking distance of where I work. The service here sucks! Seriously… horrible! They either forget what I ordered for drinks, or forget to bring them. It’s not hard either… coffee & water. The ladies make very best attempts though at being friendly, but outside of that the only one that does awesome with the service is the owner, she’s great, other than that the service sucks. The food quality is comparable to Dennys… except you don’t get the runs after eating it. On a positive note… you did get the food fast. If this place wasn’t so close to where I work, I’d never come here. I’d recommend the owner can all her servers and hire new ones. Sorry. Just how I feel.

Food quantity is large, but unfortunately that is all that applies towards the food. Visalia has better breakfast restaurants than this one, I have given this place many chances but no improvement in quality and taste. Maybe I will try there lunch or dinner, since many people posted good reviews. Will adjust review after trying the lunch or dinner.

I have eaten at the Corner Café several times at both locations. The food is good. Not the best thing I have ever eaten like some suggest in their comments. I did notice a decline in food quality after they moved so I would rate the food quality as just average in the new location. The biggest decline however was in the service. The service was absolutely terrible the last 2 times I went. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

We’ve been there twice since the Corner Café has reopened and we’ve been disappointed both times. The wait is pretty bad. We waited 45 minutes both times. We were very irritated when they sat a party of 2 in a large booth that holds 8, twice!!! The food is good but not worth a 45 minute wait. The layout was poorly designed and they didn’t utilize the space very well. It’s good that they have a waiting area though. The food isn’t the same. Portions are smaller, biscuits and gravy taste different and the chicken fried steak is smaller. Waitresses got all over our orders wrong the first time and our food sat for 10 minutes before it was brought to us and it was not hot. The second time our waitress was quick and efficient. Sorry but I had to give a 1 star for mediocre service, long wait times, decline in quality of food, and it’s not worth another trip back. We would rather go to Main St Café now.

Thought the new«Digs» lacks the«I am in my Mom’s kitchen» feeling everything else remains as good as it always was! There is no other place in Tulare County that can hold a candle to Corner Café. They still treat everyone like you are a guest in their home and provide fantastic personal service. So personal sometimes that there can be a jab or two at you if your server feels comfortable with you! Yesterday was my first time at the new location. The décor is very tasteful and reminiscent of a roadside café, Unlike the old«House» all the seating is large and roomy, for more comfortable than the old booths. Every booth is also named, nice touch! It was also good to see the old Corner Café sign on the wall. I had my usual, two egg breakfast. The eggs were perfect to order, over medium. I always order eggs this way and a lot of the time cooks will over or i=under cook the eggs, this never has happened to me here, the eggs are to perfection. Bacon, the reason for breakfast, is AMAZING! Four slices of THICK cut bacon, my wife and I joke that these are bacon steaks, always cooked to order and the taste is simply divine! Also included with the breakfast is either hash browns or «Brian’s» potatoes. Everyone raves about the hash browns but I have always favored Brian’s(country potatoes) because I like the onions and peppers that are added, so I have never ordered the hash browns but everyone says that they are great. One thing for certain, no matter which you order, hash browns or country potatoes, you will swear that they used two full size potatoes to prepare your breakfast! The meal also comes with toast or biscuit. I have had several items off of their menu and have never been disappointing! Their chicken fried steak is the best I have ever had. Their omelettes are huge! Also, whenever chili Verde omelette is on special i get that, well because it is simply fantastic! For the best breakfast ever get to the Corner Café!

Best Overall Breakfast spot in Visalia/Tulare! New location is clutch.(Akers & Goshen on West side of Savemart where old Blockbuster was located) What was a monthly outing has now turned into a weekly item on the family«to do» list. The Corner Café(CC) is notorious for their large serving portions so if you’re counting calories this isn’t the place for you. It’s especially nice seeing their price/portion hasn’t changed since making the move to the new NW Visalia location. Be prepared to wait as this place get packed with customers daily and even longer wait times during peak hours(Fri-Sun). Our first time we waited 49mins, but oh was it worth the wait. It’s great seeing some of the same ‘ol crew like Carrie(or Kari?), Tonya, and Deb. The service is super friendly and can sometimes feel like your family who busts your chops but that’s a definite PLUS in my book. I went ahead and tried the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. It had me immediately looking for my mother(or mother-in-law) as it was so good I could«slap my momma.» Today(2nd visit in as many weeks), i went ahead and tried one of their famous omelette’s and the wife had the french toast combo. Both big portions and solid all the way around(they must use ½ a dozen eggs for one omelette). Food is fresh, crisp, and savory as heck. You get the mid-west, «mom and pop» feel of the«dust bowl era» without squeezing into a tiny hole in the wall in 2016. We absolutely love this place and the people who bring food to our soul. Keep up the great work Corner Café crew/family! Cons: no reservations/wait time PROS: Food(hands down best breakfast in Tulare County), Customer Service, Atmosphere/Family friendly, Location, Price & Portion.

I almost got up and left. We got here at 0900 and had to flag down a server to ask if we could order at 0930, while people came after us and ordered and are eating. It’s not extraordinarily busy right now. No acknowledgment that we were forgotten. It’s very unfortunate that the service was so terrible because the food was good.

OHMYSWEETBABYJESUS! I have died and gone to far girl heaven!!! The food is AMAZING! My husband loved his chicken strips and fries! So fresh and crisp the fries just melt in your mouth. I had the #15 which it a bacon, avocado, cheese and mushroom omelet and it was superb! This café really lives up to the hype! Really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is great. Our server was Marvell and she was quick, friendly and attentive without hovering. Although this place is too busy to allow for hovering. And even tho it gets packed the turnover is fast without feeling like you have to rush out. This is my first time here and I’m coming back for more!

Absolutely amazing, we used to go to their old location all the time. This location is so much more convenient and will get much more business. The portions are still big and delicious! Definitely somewhere that you would see on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! Must go to breakfast restaurant in Visalia! Whenever friends come from out of town I always take them to Corner Café!

Ok the results are in… The location is kind of a drag for me personally, but it doesn’t seem to matter to anyone else, still standing room only, wait was about 10 mins. Parking is limited, but again nothing new. The space is much bigger, no longer have to hear 10 different breakfast conversations whilst trying to enjoy my meal. Now the food… I’d put up todays CFS& Eggs against the last meal I had at the old place and defy anyone to pass the Pepsi challenge… It was identical!!! Same great portion size, same great taste… Overall 4.5 stars. Welcome back my old friend.
