I worked directly with Lucy from Arizona and planned a wedding cake and cupcakes for a California wedding without taste testing, or visiting her bakery. Lucy was always polite and helpful. The cake was delivered to the reception location on the day of the wedding and was beautiful! The cake was moist, the fillings were perfectly paired, the frosting was just right, and the design was perfect for a beach theme! I was wishing I had another slice days after the wedding!

Lucy is an amazing artist. She has done birthday cakes, cupcakes and wedding cakes for my family. Not only are the items you order a masterpiece they are tasty. I am really excited to see what she puts together for my daughters baby shower. I highly recommend this place for any sweet treat. Not only is everything yummy, the service here is perfect. Lucy is absolutely one of the sweetest ladies you can do business with.

Absolutely loved our experience here! Highly recommend! We came in for a 30^th wedding anniversary cake for my parents anniversary as well as some additional sweet treats for the dessert table. The free cake tasting was just an added bonus. The owner is so sweet and super helpful and everything was SO REASONABLE. The cake tasted amazing and the design was great. If you are looking for a specialty cake for any event I highly recommend here. We ordered a 2 tier cake, butter cookies (with custom metallic round sprinkles), and heart shaped cookies frosted to say 30 in metallic as well. Everything turned out amazing and we had compliments all night. We will definitely be back!

I’ve heard great things about the wedding/​event cakes, but I wasn’t blown away by what I had. We stopped in to grab something sweet really quickly and the shop is a-​dorable! The woman that was working was really sweet too. Unfortunately, the three desserts we got tasted kind of stale and not homemade. I’m sure they were, but they just tasted that way.

Not a huge selection but the goods they do sell are very good. I love their cake pops, and brownies. The brownies are very chocolatey and have a nice layer of fudge frosting blanketing them. The cupcake’s frosting I wasn’t a big fan of. The store is kept very clean and the décor is really cute inside. I haven’t tried any of the frappes or smoothies. It’s a lil pricey but I don’t mind for the quality I’m getting. Cake pops are $ 2.50 each. I can only eat two because they are rich, and filling. Only qualm is they don’t always have every flavor available all the time. I’ve come in at all hours and they sometimes have only strawberry or chocolate. Rare they have both at the same time. I like both flavors but it sucks when you’re looking forward to eating the chocolate and and all they have is strawberry. They also don’t have a lot available. The most I’ve ever seen is four in their display. Also, it’s hard to identify their flavor. They’re not separated, the only way to tell is by looking at the end of the stick. The baker colors codes them. This place can easily be a 5 star joint if they have more desserts on hand, and labels them accordingly.

Went in today for a cake last minute for Ashton’s birthday and they totally helped me out totally coming back!

Just gotta say we put on a baby shower and wanted a yummy cake and beautiful we went in the Queen of Cakes on a whim Lucy was the best she sat us down brought us a few samples of cakes all were very good we went thru our pictures and picked the size and out a deposit and for a month Amy and I would find something else we wanted on the cake we even changed the size. Lucy was alway so happy to see us she would scratch off our old design at do a new on she was alway upbeat happy person we love Lucy and her shop must try next time you have a party or if you just want a yummy cake for dinner she has a few in her case thank you your cake was the center piece of the baby shower Lucy has talent and puts all the love in every cake she makes and we were even late picking up the cake and she waited for me to get there after closing A BIG FIVE STAR FOR LUCY AT THE QUEEN OF CAKES

My husband and I got our wedding cake from Queen of Cakes and we could not have been happier! The owner was so friendly and helpful. Cake tasting at Queen of Cakes was one of my favorite pats of wedding planning! We loved so many of her cakes that we couldn’t decide on just one so we got four different cake/​filling combinations in our wedding cake. I also got my husband a groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner. I was able to personally design both cakes and they were perfect! Exactly what I had I mind! And delicious! Would recommend Queen of Cakes to anyone! I’ve also been there just to have a frapp or pastry and everything she sells is just amazing!

My sister got her wedding cake from this location, and not only was it beautiful, but also SO delicious!
Since then I’ve visited this bakery several times and she never disappointed. The owner is the sweetest woman! So helpful and friendly! I’ve tried her butter cookies, Horchata Frappé (best thing EVER, must try), the Eclairs, and Strawberry Tres Leches Cup (wow yum wow)!

I was very happy w the look of my cake and the taste. She gave me great customer service and exactly what I hoped for. My cake was a hit at my baby shower. I’m looking forward to ordering more cakes from her. Thanks again Queen of cakes!

Visiting town for work and stopped by on a whim, not knowing what to expect. What I got was fast, friendly service. The coffee was good, but the apple turnover I bought was nothing short of amazing. Warm from the oven, the crust was perfect. It had a filling that wasn’t too sweet and was plentiful. This place is awesome!

What an extremely friendly owner. You have to try cake in a cup! Empanadas are delish, so are the cake pops and cookies. I love the cinnamon twists with coffee.
Do not give your money to huge business, support the Queen of Cakes who makes a better latte than Starbucks anyhow. :)

Queen of Cakes is our new favorite place for cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Not only did everything look amazing, but everything tasted fantastic. Reasonably priced and will defiantly use again.

First, I must say that I did not end up getting a cake from this «business» due to the negative impression that the owner made from my first and only meeting with her. I came to «Queen of Cakes and Café» for a cake testing for my upcoming wedding. First of all when I arrived with my party the owner was not there. This appointment had been made ahead of time, it was not something last minute, and still she showed up late. Strike one. Very unprofessional.
Then when she gave us the «samples», there were four of us and the put all of the cake on one plate to share with 4 forks. We had to request to have separate plates. When she separated each ridiculously small slice onto the places she did not utilize any coverings for her hands, only went right in with her fingers and a knife and separated the slices into four tiny, bite sized pieces. The pieces were so small that we could barely get a taste of the flavor of the cake. Not to mention the tiny pieces were smothered in whipped cream so we didn’t even get to sample the flavor of the butter cream frosting that she kept raving about. I mean seriously, for $ 20 for a sample, you would think that at least the bride would get a decent slice, or half a slice to try. On top of that, she had a list of about 20 – 25 flavors to choose from and instead of allowing me to choose she just gave me four choices of whatever crap was in stock. One was German chocolate (which I hate), another was piña colada (which I would have never picked) and two other random, ordinary samples, smothered in whipped cream. When I asked to try some of the other flavors I was told that I couldn’t try them because they don’t keep those stocked. I asked how I was supposed to choose the flavor if I couldn’t taste them and her response was that I would have to pay $ 10 for crumb cake sized sample, and I would need to give them three days notice. Ummm, excuse me… I scheduled my appointment a full 3 weeks prior. I think a professional baker and business owner would have asked for my preference for flavors to have those ready for me to try, at least if she was trying to get my money. Strike two. Ridiculous!
The embarrassing, unprofessionalism continued. Whenever I asked a question the owner would give this embarrassed laugh and then not answer my question directly. I had to ask her everything about 3 times and often she still would not provide a response. That seemed a little shady to me. After reading about all of the negative experiences people on here have had, I wanted to find out what her policy was on being on time, guarantees, fresh cakes, etc. Could I get a straight answer from her? Absolutely not! We had to ask the other employee on the sly to get a straight answer. Strike three! If I cannot even get a straight answer from you just trying to sample your cakes, there is no way that I am going to risk having additional stress on my special day because they can’t get it together.
From what I hear, the previous owner (Elaine) made fabulous cakes, was professional and had a great reputation. This owner claimed that Elaine begged her to take the business off of her hands and that she uses the same recipes. Obviously when Elaine left she took her professionalism and skill with her. I think this business was incorrectly named. Instead of «Queen of Cakes» it definitely should be Queen of Disappointment because that is something that she definitely lives up to.
Future brides, don’t waste your time or the $ 20 that she charges for a «consultation». You can do a google search on cakes and see better wedding cakes than what she has in her store albums and there are definitely other bakeries that offer a better experience and better samples for your special day!

Pretty cakes, however way over priced! They do not list prices on the website, as do nearly all other cake shops. This allows them to price per customer. Taste was not overwhelmingly wonderful, it was okay. A small three tier birthday cake, 8 in’ 6 in’, and 4 in’. should not be $ 250.00
Cake was promised to be ready at 12:00, we arrived and told it would be 10 minutes more. It ended up being 40 minutes more total. If you need a cake from here, pick it up the night before.
It was pretty, sadly we left it setting on our dinning table as suggested and the vibrant colors had faded within two hours. Lucky we took a photos as soon as we picked it up.
Will not be going here again.

Good treats and drinks with reasonable prices. Nothing extraordinary but definitely far from bad!

I, like a previous reviewer, have mixed feelings about this place. Their cakes and desserts are delicious and they seem to have a knack for decorating them… But my experience today was frustrating enough for me to say I will probably never order anything here again.
We ordered a cake weeks in advance for pick up today before my daughter’s birthday party. But when we arrived about ten minutes after our scheduled pick up time, the cake wasn’t even decorated yet. They told us they were putting on the finishing touches… But yeah, you could see the bare cake in the back. We waited more than 30 minutes for them to get it together and then had to have them correct the spelling on the cake.
We were late to our own party because of the delay. They apologized and gave us a little discount, but in the end, we spent over a hundred dollars on the cake and had expected maybe a better experience overall.

Our cake was DELICIOUS! And the price could not be beat! I needed a cake for 40 people. It was within (2) wks, so kinda of short notice. I spoke with Lucy on phone, and she was so personable. I felt very comfortable in trusting her intuitive design, and it came out a beautiful pink baby shower cake with fondant cut-​outs. It may have been a mis-​communication, but they forgot to put the wording on the cake. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5. Really, no big deal considering how delicious the cake was!

The best bakery ever. My son loves their cake pops! Amazing and great tasting cakes, lemonade is to die for as well as their coffee and horchata frapp! Try this place if you haven’t yet.

I do not know the quality of their cakes because every time, (3^rd time now) that I attempt to place an order, they fail to be able to provide me with basic customer service. They always seems to act like I am speaking a foreign language when requesting a cake flavor, filling and custom image. I would assume they would be the experts and professionals, however this seems to not be the case.
They have failed and it is a shame… won’t try to use them again. can’t ever get past the horrible customer service. I should never be told, you should call back tomorrow, our baker is out. My name and number should be taken and a return call should be made. I will just drive the extra 20 mins to know I will get what I need and not told to call back another day.

Love their desserts! Called for a last minute request as the day of the celebration moved up. Lucy was such a pleasure to speak with and full of great ideas. Everyone loved the cake (peanut butter cups d-​lish) and looking forward to ordering more.

Queen of Cakes made our wedding cake and everybody raved about it and asked who made it. Lucy was recommended to us and I am so very glad that we picked her after the cake testing. We are going to recommend her to everyone. They delivered our cake on time … we had no problems with them and will be using them for all our parties.
