Went with high expectations, but such a disappointment. The potatoes were uncooked, the egg whites utterly uncooked, the service was indifferent, and the food had no seasoning. I hope this was just an off day.

Overall tastes was pretty good, would come back. The chicken fried steak was very good.
Strawberry Crêpe was a little disappointing. Crêpe itself tasted a little coarse/​rough. But otherwise taste was good. Strawberries and yogurt on the inside with side of whipped cream sprinkled with granola.

Good old fashion home style/​diner food. Big portions and everything was just so satisfying and deelish. Customer service can’t be beat Was treated with smiles and care. Watched everyone hustle for their customers. So kind and friendly. Nice music. Hgtv on screens. Try this place if you’re looking for a meal like moms. Homemade salsa from «nacho» is perrrrfecto

Love this place! Local, family feel… everyone is so friendly and they even remembered us the second time we visited.
The California Benedict is my favorite Eggs Benedict ever! Adding real bacon, avocado, and tomato is a no-​brainer:)

Came here for a late breakfast, first thing that hits you is the staff are super friendly and cant do enough to help you. the out door seating is nice and they allow dogs. the food they do was nice andthe place seemed very clean, will defo come back again.

This is the best breakfast place in San Diego. Always friendly people and high quality food prepared deliciously. I would recommend anyone to come here for breakfast or lunch over any other place!

Breakfast skillet I had was delicious. Great portion size, great food, great service. And to top it off they gave us free pecan pie after that was amazing!

We have had the Fish and Chips here and they are excellent and I think (for the money) the best in North County. Today we went in for breakfast, nothing fancy just sausage and eggs with hash browns. It’s the kind of breakfast that I generally expect to be disappointed with, because it is so simple and so easy to screw up. This was exceptional! Eggs were over easy… perfect, sausage was very good, plump and juicy, and the hash browns were light fluffy with just a little crisp on the outside. Added a little bit of the fresh salsa (it is fresh made), and it became an exceptional breakfast. What else can I say… we will be back.

This restaurant is sooooo good the food is all homemade from scratch and you can tell that they put their heart into what they prepare for you. The staff is so nice and they know how to treat you from start to finish. I don’t know where you live but I live in Encinitas and for this kind of goodness it is worth the drive…

After reading all the great reviews, our family decided to haved breakfast here today. NEVER AGAIN. My daughter took two bites of her pancake and said «yuk». It seemed like salt was the seasoning which left our food salty and our other dishes lacked flavor.

Visited this place to grab a quick bite while waiting in the area. Super friendly atmosphere soon as we walked in. Got told we could sit where we wanted and a drink order was taken in seconds. The food was amazing. The vegetable soup is made at the store, daily so it’s fresh! The ranch dressing was very good. Nothing could beat the awesome Belgian waffle I had with strawberries and whipped cream on top

My new favorite breakfast place in North County. Walking in I immediately felt very comfortable and relaxed, not rushed and hurried in the least. On a Sunday, when it’s rainy outside a nice lazy breakfast is just about the only thing that would get me out of bed.
The menu was extensive and had so many choices, many of which I hadn’t seen before. I normally get ham and eggs, it’s my staple, but here I wanted to try something new! I’m so glad I did.
Cinnamon Roll — Mouthgasm. Nothing more to say.
Pigs in a Blanket — I love crepes and sausage and marrying the two seemed like a genius plan and made me kick myself for not thinking of it sooner. The fried bananas were small but very good. The mix of savory and sweet was really quite delicious.
Country Fried Steak — My boyfriend ordered this and it’s never been my favorite. I had read on Unilocal that they had great CFS, so he had to try it and when I took a bite I can honestly say that was the best one I have tasted of his. The gravy was a little underwhelming but very tasty, but I’m not a big gravy person.
Coffee — I had 5 cups! I usually never have more than 2 but it was deliciousness in a cup
Over all this place is awesome. Such friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, well priced and now that I have taken a shower, come out in the world, eaten this amazing breakfast I’m going straight back home to crawl in bed, put on Jammie’s and cuddle happily for the rest of the day.

This is one of the restaurants where despite how awesome the food was, the staff were the stars and earned 5 stars. We had such attentive, friendly, genuine service we were blown away. Our cups never reached close to empty as they were always taking care of us. We sat out on the patio since it was beautiful day out and we loved it. It’s a cute patio and the seating was good. The food was also phenomenal. Everything tasting amazing, fresh and full of flavor. I think we found our new breakfast place. Can’t wait to return!

Used to work in the area, always saw this place and finally got around to going.
Great eggs benedict, friendly owners… will be back for the lunch specials sometime soon.

Wow! This about sums up our experience here. We Unilocaled breakfast locations near us and found this gem! Husband and wife duo with great customer service and even better food! What’s even better, soooo affordable. The food is fresh and memorable. Can’t wait to tell and bring our family and friends here.

Time Out Café was a great morning experience. We had great service and excellent food from this hidden gem!

Gabby and Joe are the owners here. Whenever we come here they always make conversation and make us feel welcomed. We’ve taken our families here, and they enjoyed it. You can sit wherever you want for the most part unless it’s busy or you have a big group. They have a nice little patio area outside with umbrellas, although we usually sit inside. Gabby usually takes our order and every time no matter what we order breakfast, lunch or dinner the food always tastes amazing. They serve mimosas, beer and wine in case your wondering.

I love to Time Out Café! Not only is the food consistently good no matter what you order but Gabby and Joe always make you feel like you’re dining at their home. Great food plus wonderful service makes this place a go to destination for me!
I highly suggest the fish and chips or the chicken lovers sandwich. The fish and chips are made to order with their house made beer batter! I’ve never had a more flaky, tender, crispy fish at any other restaurant! Truly a gem!
