Safe-Way Moving and Storage

Wonderful movers. Very nice. Very fast. Nothing broken. Cheaper than their competitors. Couldn’t ask for more.

This company and their movers were top notch! We live in San Diego and they moved our furniture for our second home in Big Bear. They emailed confirmation beforehand and worked with us as we had two locations to load our items from. Shane and Greg worked quickly to load up our items and we were on the road within no time. They took care with my items and even helped to readjust and rebuild some of my furniture to make it fit properly. All in all a great experience with some trustworthy movers.

First off, apologies for the lengthy review, this being my first one, but wanted to explain our experience fully with Safe-​Way. Found them through an ad on craigslist on new years eve, and hit up their website. Sent a inquiry through their website for an estimate for my move the following weekend. I got a callback within 10 minutes from Mike, which was a very pleasant surprise. He explained the their rates and services they provided and gave me a rough estimate of what my move would cost me, which was a very reasonable price. Mike was very easy going and very friendly on the phone and also gave a little background on himself and his company. He told me that if his rough estimate worked for me to give him a call the next day to lock in the date & time.
The next day I gave him a call back, and told him that I’d like to proceed the move with his company. The following Monday he called me back with confirmation. During the following week, my wife and I were desperately trying to pack everything up in our 3-​story 3 bedroom condo by Saturday morning for the move, but we were both sick, and that really put a damper on our progress. Saturday morning comes and we still had a bit of small little things to pack up when the movers showed up 10 minutes early. Zack and Hector asked to do a walk through to see what was to be moved, and I showed them. I explained what had happened, and that we still had some last minute things to pack up, and they told us not to worry about it. They gave us a lot of pointers on how finish everything up while they proceeded to load the truck up with all the things that were already ready to go.
As my family got the rest of the things packed, Zack and Hector were blazing through, getting everything into the truck, and also helped us tape up the remaining boxes. They took extra care with our things, and also threw packing blankets on all the stair rails to protect our place while bringing things down. As fast as they were going, they were also very careful. They also had a very pleasant demeanor, and were very easy to work with. Once everything was packed, they headed out to our new place in Tustin, and got there a little bit before us, and were already unloading things, prepping them to go into our new townhome. Now we were squeezing everything from a 3-​story 3 bedroom home into a 2-​story 2 bedroom home. Regardless, they were able to place our furniture where it worked best, and still fit the the rest. They even got our Cali King size bed up the narrow set of stairs, and our large bookcase upstairs as well! Safe-​Way Moving is awesome. Would’ve given them a full 5 stars, if it weren’t for a slight ding in the wall when they brought the bookcase up the stairs (but if you saw the size of the bookcase, and the incredibly tight stairwell, you wouldn’t believe they even managed it!) Definitely going with them again on our next move. Highly recommended.
