I went when they first opened. Great décor, always crowded, yummy food and drinks. Something has definitely changed. When I went yesterday at 6 it was pretty much empty. Tuesday is a slow day for many restaurants, but not even the bar had an after work happy hour crowd. Our server was great. The food was underwhelming. I had the Spring Rolls. I ate 3. Nothing special about the taste or the dipping sauce. The«slaw» underneath was VERY vinegary. No balance of flavor. For dinner I had the fish Tacos and the Blue20 salad. The fish had a cornmeal crust. Was very dry and no flavor. The was a plop of guacamole on top and some slaw on the bottom. I ate it because I was hungry, but I didn’t eat the second. The salad? Eh! It needs to be served in a different plate because the little pieces of lettuce kept falling off. The dressing was good but I wasn’t inspired to finish that either. The water had a weird taste which made me wonder about the ice. With so many choices in the area and Philadelphia it’s unlikely that I will go back. It used to be a nice place.

My boyfriend and I were looking for places in Cherry Hill to have dinner, and he decided to pick this place. When I first walked in, I noticed that it was empty– almost seemed like it was closed; but, it was just the atmosphere of the restaurant that came off that way. In reality the restaurant was a very intimate and relaxed place to have dinner. I ordered the raw oysters to start, and they were pretty fresh… I liked it! My boyfriend had the sea bass and I did the lobster ravioli as my entrée. Both of the dishes were just«Ok,» which only means I would give it another chance because their were other choices on the menu that caught my interest. P. S. this place is kind of dark so you can easily miss it, especially if you’re familiar with the area.

I was traveling from TX and really wanted great seafood. I was not disappointed. The Sriracha Shrimp app was excellent as well as the bread. I had the crab cakes and they were delicious. Alyssa, our waitress was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I’ll be back when I’m back in the area.

Love this place. I’m a regular. Blue 2o has a great ambiance and a very nice menu and service system. The bar is lively but tasteful. They also have live music. The menu is primarily seafood.

After having a hard time trying to decide on where to dine, my friends and I decided to end our search and dine at this restaurant. It was Christmas time, there was a band in the bar area playing holiday tunes. We decided to dine at the bar. At first, I was kind of put off by the entrée prices. I ordered a cocktail called Caribbean tea. It was good! So good, that I ordered a second one. For my entrée I ordered the Maple bourbon salmon with butternut squash ravioli, maple cream sauce, and pecans. My meal was very good and exceeded my expectations. The salmon was a nice portion and was cooked to perfection. I could tell that it was cooked over a wood grill, because I could taste the pleasant hints of wood smoke. The ravioli was good and I really enjoyed the butternut squash filling. It was savory and sweet at the same time. The crushed pecans gave my meal some texture. I was too stuffed for dessert. This place was not our first choice, but I’m glad we descended on this location for dinner. The service was good. I left with my stomach full and my taste buds satisfied. I would go back here again.

I went here for the first time with a former co-worker. The restaurant wasn’t crowded; we were seated immediately. I had an appetizer of steamed clams. The clams came in a savory broth, and I could have use a spoon or more bread to sop it up. I was disappointed with the mixed seafood grill. I got two or three pieces of fish, and the dish was rather bland. I’m accustomed to mixed seafood grills that include some type of shellfish, but that wasn’t the case here. The drinks were good and strong. Since I was driving, I only had one. I’m giving this place only two stars because the waiter «Accidentally» put my credit card in his back pocket instead of returning it to me when I paid the check! I had to flag him down to get it back. I don’t plan on returning any time soon.

Been to place about 5 times over the years. I’m not sure why I go back… i think its because I get bored and figure ill change it up. The food: Its good. Flavorful, plenty of fish/meats The service: Awful, always bad… Super slow, forget drinks, rush things etc… Anytime I’ve gone I get this tall dude… and he just sucks. I dont know what the problem is here but they need better mgt since they haven’t changed in years. Ambiance: I like the look of the place, bar is cool, cozy, big fire place, music

Dam lousy food and mediocre service Beautiful looking restaurant. Thats where the accolades end. There were two very large parties taking place. The servers through out the evening stated what a terrible night they were having. Great, just what customer’s want to hear, servers complaining about other customers. Started with oysters. Small, tasteless bivalves. Scallop Appetizer was very small, scallops, and the sauce was just terrible. Cumin heavy, ill working mess of an appetizer. Did the server notice the left on the plate scallop? No. Mr. «haven’t got a clue didn’t take notice». But, he did share how bad a night he was having. Lets go onto Soup? Corn and Chicken Chowder. Overly spiced inedible glutinous cup of swill. Left most of it. Ahh, did the server, Mr.” I don’t give a shit about the customer” notice the uneaten soup? Nah. Oh yes lets not forget the disgusting tasting water. It was pure METALLIC tasting. CLEANYOURBEVERAGELINES! Hey Management, your water that your staff is giving to your customers is DIGUSTING. The Salads were served. Very good. Wait for it wait for it. Oh here comes the entrees. Umm we aren’t even half way through our salads? The food runner says to us, «oh, your not done your salads, is it ok if I just put these on the table?» Ok Sherlock, you, the professionally trained(obviously not really) just got done with your acknowledgment that the customer(that would be us) isn’t even close to finish our salads and obviously too soon for the entrees. She put our entrees on the table. The Shrimp Tacos was a road kill of a dish. The Siracha Shrimp was a mushy mess of very spicy Shrimp with an overly sweet sauce. Yikes, bad. Fries were pretty good. The Salmon was cooked with a very heavy hand of Vinaigrette. Ate it, however we would not order it again. 2.5 of the Shrimp Tacos was not eaten. Did the server notice? No. Did he care, no. Did we care, at this point? No. So 120 bucks later, bad food, less than expected service. We were very disappointed. We can not say enough. Salad was good. We’re sorry the Large very loud parties obviously made the staff miserable. Should not have made our evening suck. Oh PLEASECLEAN the restaurant’s beverage lines. The water is in the top 3 of the most obviously disgusting tasting water of decades long eating at restaurants. I can’t blame the staff. This is so extreme, the problem MUST be on the management level.

Revisited to sample the other happy hour items. The best was the Sirracha Shrimp. Very tasty. Next was the Tilapia Fingers. Nicely deep fried and meaty cuts. Lastly was the Spring Rolls. Good but typical. Overall happy hour is good. Service and food options were decent. Our top pick was the Sliders and Shrimp. The only disappointment was the drink specials. Not really much of a happy hour discount.

Sorry but my review did cut off. But the waitress had to ask the manager if I can use my coupon. To take one of my dinner home. The waitress was real nice and our food was delicious we will be back I hope my girlfriend can give me another coupon but even if she don’t the happy hour is great and the atmosphere there is great.

Sriracha shrimp & Alaskan King Crab legs are what I always order & it never disappoints. They have a great selection of beers on tap. Try the Exile Red. It’s a personal favorite. The atmosphere is sleek & sexy, the service top notch & the food is quality.

came in on Sunday at 930 they close at 10 Waitress sat us immediately, but we heard her tell an employee«I knew it» as she passed him and as she put our orders in she shouted to the Cooks«sorry guys!» So, with that being said my review on service, or Sunday night service, or late service, or whatever stops there. — 1 star for beautiful interior — 1star for food being… okay. Caesar salad: not extremely fresh crisp or special. shrimp pork spring rolls: just«ok». wouldn’t get again Sriracha shrimp: good, enjoyable Lobster risotto: scariest«lobster» ever it was the consistency of mashed potatoes and just kind of turned to mush in my mouth. We sent it back. The risotto part was good but very.“thick”. The whole thing was just sort of «whatever» and I probably won’t come back.

I was out in Cherry Hill and wanted to try this place. The prices seemed slightly steeper for a place out in the burbs, but figured it was after all a seafood place(definitely not Red Lobster) The place was empty since it was Monday evening. We were greeted by a great server(Ryan) that explained the menu thoroughly since this was our first time there. I had the crab cake for my appetizer and it was very tasty. It had a good amount of lump meat with not a lot of filler. I had the blue2o salad and it had interesting ingredients(dried cranberries, candied nuts, and blue cheese) For my entrée I had the lobster risotto. I was a little disappointed with it. I found that it was overpowered by the asparagus, lacked seasoning, and no lobster taste on the risotto. The lobster garnishing the risotto was slightly overcooked and rubbery. Overall we were happy with the meal, and would visit this restaurant again. We were surprised to learn that blue2o was owned by the same corporation that owns Chilli’s, but this is the only one in the country. Another surprise was to learn that the restaurant makes much of its menu on site unlike most corporately owned restaurants, which explains the slightly higher menu pricing. This place does have a great happy hour(M-Th 4-close; F 4 – 7) and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights

They have buck-a-shuck oysters during the HH here! Mmm, oysters! I love oysters. This place however is just ok. The service was extremely slow! I was never able to find him. Wife and I started off ordering 24 oysters to split b/w the two of us along with a few other appetizers. I told him to bring out whichever is ready since we had our son with us and wanted to be in and out. Well I guess he misheard or something. BC everything we ordered took FOREVER! Our server appologized about the oysters taking awhile because the shucking and cleaning was taking awhile. I guess they aren’t that great at shucking??? But, that’s still no excuse for the other items that came out about half hour after we ordered. Aren’t appetizers supposed to come out within 10 minutes? Pretzel crusted tilapia fingers — the flavoring was there, but I felt there was too much breading. I was eating more pretzel than fish. Crsipy Fish Tacos — These were a little on the bland side. Also, it was a tad tiny. Even for the happy hour price, i thought it was steep. Sriracha shrimp — these were amazing! Great flavor, good size, just plain good! Oysters — They were good. Small, but good. We wanted to order more oysters, but bc our server was gone half the time(btw, we came at 4:30 and it was DEAD!), we decided to not order anymore and just head somewhere else. Overall: I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here. If I was in the area and craving oysters, this is my spot to go to, but there are better places elsewhere.

I was so excited about coming to this restaurant with my family. Live entertainment was nice at the bar while you waited in the seating area. Drink service was prompt while you waited for your table. Attentive staff. Between the four of us we ordered everything! We always try numerous dishes the first time we try restaurants so we can get a good idea of the best dishes. All the seafood dishes were very disappointing. The broth/sauce for the chioppino style dish was minimal and seafood dry, alot of shells not opened in another, another dish was not warm… it was a bad night! We ended up spending hundreds of dollars and left very disappointed! Its a nice concept but your food has to be consistently spot on. I would not go back.

Came for lunch. Food was good, but service could be better. Especially when we were like the only people yhere. Ordered an express lunch that took 25 mins and I dont kmow how express that is. All the employees moved like we lived in the south(slow). If your looking for a quick lunch, dont come here.

This has become a favorite spot for my wife and me. I remember when this restaurant first opened. It is really good to see a nice restaurant become successful. The wait staff is always friendly and professional! The ambiance is very relaxing. I had the Grilled Salmon with vinegarette sauce, smashed potatoes and green beans. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass with BBQ sauce, and smashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our meals. While we didnt drink alcoholic beverages with our dinner, the bar can make a wide selection of mixed drinks, plus Domestic/Imported beer.

July 17, 2013 This was my second visit to Blue2o since moving to South Jersey. It was my wife’s birthday and we were looking for a pretty good seafood establishment. Since we had family in tow this year, Philadelphia was not an option due to price and parking issues. We decided to go with Blue2o since we enjoyed the appetizers and oysters when we dined here nearly three years ago. The food is ok, honestly it seems as if the quality and the quantity declined since my last visit. The calamari and the oysters were ok. I ordered a tuna steak medium. It was overcooked and dried out. If there was citrus thyme butter on it, it probably dried out under the heat lamp because there was not a presence of it anywhere on the plate. The mash potatoes were probably sitting in a warmer all day. They were dry and flavorless. My mother ordered the jumbo stuffed shrimp. It was pretty much stuffed with nothing. If you are the size of an ant, only then could they have been considered jumbo shrimp. The other two members of my party ordered crab legs. You really can’t mess anything up there. People rave about this place for its happy hour. I am assuming it must be for the price because my drink was just plain old bad. I decided to have a mojito before dinner. To be fair I wasn’t having one at the Eden Roc Resort, the National Hotel, or Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road, just a few of my favs in Miami, but I have had decent Mojitos in New Jersey. This had to be the worse mojito ever. I think it was just lime soda. It was even lacking the right amount of mint leaves. I think this place has been removed from my list of places to dine. If I happen to find myself here again, I think I am just going to stick to the oysters and appetizers, since that seems like the only thing worth having. We didn’t even order dessert to celebrate. I was just ready to leave and did not want spend any more money in there just to be disappointed.

This was our second trip here and, unfortunately, we didn’t really remember the first trip well enough(but this time we had a coupon so we figured, eh, why not). I’m a fan of seafood, mainly because my usual dining companion does not eat it at all. So I indulged this time setting the bar higher than I probably should have. The best part about the meal, unfortunately, was the bread. Soft and chewy with a pesto-like topping served with softened butter was the highlight of the meal. We each began with a salad, I the caesar and my wife the house special. I received mine in roughly five to six minutes but my wife’s was nowhere to be seen. So I let mine sit… and sit. and sit. and then finally hers arrived along with our appetizers(timing issues? hardly busy at all). She ventured the NE Clam Chowder, which did not look creamy at all and, I was informed tasted very fishy… but not in a good way. I went with the seared scallops with bacon and a corn purée. The scallops were a sad excuse hardly getting the sear they deserve and the corn purée, with subtle hints of curry, was cold(supposed to be?). The accompanying arugula salad was just as sad, but at least it tasted seasoned. Soon afterwards, our entrees arrived. I ordered the BBQ Glazed Seabass and my companion went with the NY Strip(yes at a seafood restaurant). My fish, while cooked perfectly, was lacking the BBQ grill ‘flavor’ one expects and was topped with what seemed to be a bottled bbq sauce which all but overpowered the flavor of the fish. Accompanied by some decent mashed potatoes and a tangle of onion straws(at a seafood restaurant right?) were tasty, but didn’t make sense with such a delicate fish. My wife’s steak was cooked close to her preference(medium) but was chewy beyond belief. It tasted as if it were previously frozen, which is probably true considering) and the baked potato that came with it looked sad and overcooked with a half inch thick crust from the extensive cooking time. The décor is very nice and it appears that they do decent bar service, but I don’t think we’ll be coming back again.
