Giving it two stars for the view. Ordered the fried clams at $ 26 a plate. Had maybe nine(tough)clams on the plate. Was left with that ripped off feeling. Not sure where else to go in Hyannis, but definitely would avoid this one, unless the view is all you require. Waitstaff were friendly.

I probably wouldn’t go back. Our waitress was pleasant, but extremely slow. The food was okay, but for $ 25 for a pretty basic entrée(stuffed shrimp), I was expecting more than just okay. Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. There’s plenty of other places nearby with faster service and lower priced food that you could go to instead.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hyannis. The lobster rolls are huge and the lobster bisque delicious. They have outdoor seating and nothing beats a nice day sitting outside overlooking the boats in the marina. There’s also live entertainment and a wide selection of seafood in the menu. Tugboats does have a children’s menu and is a perfect place to take the family if you are in the cape

Great waterfront choice. We were able to watch the sunset from the deck. Seafood was clearly fresh. Our entrees tasted great. Service was standard, prices on the higher end but the portions don’t disappoint. Wide variety of alcoholic beverages and cocktails. Overall pleasant experience. We would go back!

Another great waterfront choice. You are guaranteed a beautiful sunset at this lovely restaurant. ALL of the food is spot on(at least what my group had). I had the seafood stew and it was full of flavor and fresh, perfectly cooked seafood. There is also a separate bar area that we didn’t try out, but looked neat. You must eat on the deck at sunset and just take in that beauty. Service is friendly, quick, and attentive.

I came here with the inlaws because we like seafood, My wife who happens to be a vegan was with is. This isn’t normally a problem we just ask for vegan friendly stuff — this strategy worked at Texas Roadhouse so I was pretty certian it would work anywere. Not at Tugboats The waitress claimed not to know what a vegan was because she was«not a doctor»… and the proceed to shrug off any other inquiries by firmly stating that Tugboats was a seafood restraunt. Lame. Alison, unacceptable, for $ 30 a plate you need to either be nicer or transition to a new position at the restraunt that doesn’t require you do work with people. Managment, know your staff you wouldnt put a bad cook in the kitchen would you? Don’t make grumpy rude people wait tables.

Was just there this week with my family, 6 of us. Wanted to sit outside and host said we could not sit in a certain area(shaded)because we had a stroller. My grandson is handicapped. He sat us on the other side in the direct sun. this was 5PM and place was not busy. We finally moved ourselves inside. I had the grilled salmon with vegetables and it all was so bland and tasteless. We also had the nachos and they were dry. Anyway, not good food and not very accommodating.

I’m a native Cape Codder, who came back to Hyannis for a visit and to celebrate my sister’s birthday dinner with a party of 8. This is probably my 10th time a tugboats but the first time in 3 – 4 years… And boy has it gone down hill. First of all for the price you pay, it would be nice to not sit in plastic chairs and at plastic tables. The red sangria was extremely watered down. And three of us got clams that were edible but definitely not the freshest. Rubbery was the adjective that fit them best. There are so many other places around Hyannis harbor that have better food at better price points.

Horrible horrible horrible service. We went in for drinks and appetizers at the bar, stood in a corner because it was busy, made friends with some people at the bar who gave us their seats when they left and intended to order apps however instead we were practically shooed away by the bartender who wouldn’t even make eye contact so we could request a menu. Worst service I’ve ever gotten, as a boston local I was appalled that our tourists get treated this way.

Overall a nice place to dine. Food is good though expensive for casual atmosphere. Biggest complaint is the wait. From the time we ordered til the food came, it was 40 minutes which was particularly challenging with a young child.

This dockside setting has good food. We had the steamed clams for an app. The fish dishes were very well prepared with nice sides such as risotto and asparagus rather than fries! Nice setting and very good service here!

Have been here a few times, but now is my last time. the cocktails are watery, and the prices do not own up to the quality of food. certainly a tourist trap for me.

Expensive but good location Service is poor. They would not sit our party of seven until all people there although place was empty and we asked if we could get seated for drinks and apps. No manager could be found. Food was fair to good but way over priced that why I think on a Saturday during the summer it was only restaurant we could get into.

Fisherman platter. Nachos steak. Salmon in puff pastry. Mussels chef salad. Clam chowder. Not a complaint in the group of 21. Well worth the wait for exceptional meals and appetizers. Great experience overlooking the harbor with plenty of fresh air.

Average food; hamburger was burnt; all the fried food(fish & chips, calamari and onions) had this batter that didn’t make then tastier. Service was fine. Chips were served in a packet(off the shelf).

Expensive. But for what is it, I guess worth it. I’ve just started really eating seafood out so my experience lacks in this department. Went on a windy day over Memorial Day weekend. Wasn’t too busy, and was seated right away. Great customer service from a lovely waitress, we had a big group but she manages all well. The food: it was great I got the scallops and they were very very tasty, no disappointment there! Besides coming out cold and having to reheat them, the experience was very nice. I love the set up of the restaurant with the outdoor indoor seating right on the marina. For this day thought I wish we weren’t sitting so close to the door though. It was a cold windy day in the door kept opening and closing and making us cold.

Been coming here for years but less and less now that the kids have grown and Mom doesn’t head out for dinner anymore. Still love the friendly peeps in the bar, the beer and wine selection and of course THESEAFOOD. The beach bake hit the spot.

The location is great to be able to sit on a large outside deck and view the harbor. Problem is the food has gone downhill. Went with my family(6 of us) for lunch this past Saturday. The restaurant was fairly busy but we were able to get in quickly and lock in a table along the back of the deck(closest to the marina). We ordered drinks(beer was cold, yes…) and the waitstaff was very good. Problem was with the food. 2 of us ordered«fish & chips» and were really surprised when the meals came and the fish looked like the square frozen fillets you get in a supermarket. Nothing resembling the shape of a fish, nor the fresh taste of fish. Each came with 4 squares and soggy fries and about 1 tablespoon of cole slaw sitting on a bunch of lettuce.(for $ 19.00 a plate, you should expect fresh fillets and not frozen squares). The others got a fish stew(only winner in the meal selection), lobster/shrimp/pasta special(both seafood and pasta lacked taste) and salads. We have been going to Tugboats for years and it has changed. Probably always a busy place catering to tourists, but if you want a local place that serves fresh & flavorful food, I’d try somewhere else.
