I had the Whizz-Pig, my wife had the chicken strips, and our daughter had a regular burger. All were perfectly cooked. The fries were also properly cooked. Not over or under done. The service was fast, and friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of a down home diner, and the noise level was low. Definitely worth a visit.

The funny thing about this place is that it really grows on you. The first thing I noticed walking in is that it is very roomy and clean. There is plenty of space between the seating areas. You can select from a bar, tall tables, regular tables, comfy booths or booths with hard seats. Then the décor is whimsical, but not cluttered or grimy. The service is prompt and friendly, and the food comes out quickly. The burgers are deceptively simple in that it is a freshly ground patty. You have the option of the whizz-pig patty with bacon ground into the patty. Yummy, but I love the seductive beefiness of the regular patty too – so, I have finally opted to do one of each on the #2 basket which features a double patty burger. The tater tots are fried crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. It is getting more rare these days to find a burger joint with good tots. I find myself craving for these burgers… mostly because they are honest and not overly seasoned or greasy. When I think of diner burgers, this place comes to mind time and again.

Best burgers in town with excellent service. You walk in to a comfortable like-home setting where you are greeted by friendly staff. The burgers are made fresh and very flavorful and juicy. The sides are excellent too. The cajun chips are something you have to try. The fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. You order at the counter, but they take your meal to your table. If you want a good old fashioned burger with true customer service, then this is your place. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable.

The building is a little old but when you walk in you are welcomed by a cool atmosphere. The menu is nice and simple offering hamburgers, salads, and more. You can also add sides to your order like traditional fries which are very delicious. Prices are that compared to any other fast food restaurant. Yummy food, great prices, fast service, I would 4⁄5 recommend.

I’ll never return here again. Went with a friend and had burgers and fries. Burger meat was old tasting. We went back in line after finishing meal to order some milk shakes. Sat for 20 min. before I went and informed the girl working in the back that we never got them. She didn’t say anything and went back in the back. Waited another 10 – 15 min… she walks out and put them in front of us with no apology or no words. We take a sip and the shake was very gross. Obviously the milk was spoiled. No longer a top 5 burger place in Waco. Want to know who’s better? Uhm Toms Burgers, Smash burger, Daves Burger Barn, 5 guys burger and fries… should I go as far as to say Whataburger?

Best burgers in Waco! Get the Whizz-Pig. It’s cooked with bacon and has a great smoky flavor.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this place out based on help reviews and our general proximity to where it is located. And I have to say, it was delish! We are big Five Guys fans(we lived in Philly for for years) and have yet to find anything comparable. But man dos they do a great job. Our burgers were super tasty. And the fries were great as well! The patties were flavorful and a good size. Definitely not small or too thin. And the whole burger together was just super tasty. The fried were breaded and not too salty. They were spot on. They weren’t super busy when we went around dinner time on a Friday. Service was good. The guys working were nice and efficient. And bonus, the Baylor game was on the tv in the restaurant. We wanted to go back before we left but they close at 4pm on Saturday; total bust. But we will definitely be back next time we are in Waco! Definitely check this place out!

Dropping our daughter off for the start of her junior year at Baylor University we were in the mood for a burger so I quickly Unilocaled for burgers in the Waco area and this place popped up! Intrigued by the reviews I read we decided to try it out! Only a few miles from where we were staying I punched the address in my GPS and we were quickly there! The décor reminded me of a diner in the fifties and the friendly smiles that greeted us made the experience much nicer! Touted as the best burger in Waco I would have to agree although I haven’t tried the competition! The burgers were rather generous in size and the combos are served with either tater tots or fries and a drink. After ordering we didn’t have to wait long for our order and they were really good I must say! I was so immersed in the experience of eating and talking with our good friends who were also dropping their son off I didn’t get a chance to snap any photos but the current photos tell the story pretty well! If you’re in Waco and looking for a killer burger look no further. This is the place!

Yum Yum Yum! This burger joint is slamming good. We didn’t care for the half bacon meat patty thing. But the regular bacon cheeseburger is amazing. Definitely recommend giving this place a try! Can’t wait to go back! If I had to come up with negatives I’d say it’s a tiny bit over what I’d price it at, fries portions could be larger and the place could use some updating. But that’s really trying to come up with downsides. Once you bite in that burger it’s over — you’re a fan! Service was good and place was clean.

This tastes just like a home cooked meal. The flavors are not too strong but not too subtle either. Patties are thick and juicy. Bread isn’t flakey or dry, it’s very moist and buttery. Fries are too thick of a cut in my opinion, but the crunchiness sort of makes up for it. Texas Toppers are delicious! I didn’t think they would be that great but they were honestly my favorite thing. If you’re looking for a burger that will fill you up for a good price, this is the way to go!

I went there on the«recomendation» of a couple guys that I know. MAJOR disappointment! Burgers were paper thin and not too tasty. The bacon on it was Stringy and really limp. The burgers looked Nothing like the ad pics. Certainly not even close to that thick and I’d say the pictured ones are borderline too thin at that. Won’t be back.

Food was on point! The meat tastes absolutely great! We had chili cheese tots/fries! Has real cheese and meat in the chili because I was sure expecting some chili and cheese from a convenient store… Nope! I was fooled! Now the burger, just scrumptious! Got the double double! More than enough! It was awesome! I definitely recommend it! Everything tastes fresh and was made fresh without a doubt! You want to eat a burger in Waco, this is the spot!

This is my second time here, first time was just a few weeks ago(I know, in all my years here I’ve missed out on some great burgers, but now I know) Last time I went for a double/double and that was really good. Today I tried a Whizzpig which was a half ground beef/half ground bacon patty and it was awesome, subtle bits of delicious bacon in every bite. And the fries, so good, crunchy on the outside but you bite in and it’s gooey soft. Ordered to go inside, and service was fast considering the place was packed with people and there was a long drive through line. The gorgeous girl at the counter has a great smile and always has been friendly. Overall, I recommend this place for some of the best burgers in town. Now to try some chicken fried steak, steak fingers and shakes next… stay tuned…

This place definitely, DEFINITELY has the best burgers in Waco, and if I might very boldly say, the best burger I’ve ever had in my life.(However, I have yet to try Shake Shack and other top-notch burger joints). I came here around 7 pm on a Friday night in a group of 4. Food: I ordered a 4×2 burger with regular fries.(I was super hungry okay). But I saw at the bottom of the menu that you could substitute patties for their special Whizz patty(half ground beef, half ground bacon), which I proceeded to do for 2 of my 4 patties. The burger was HUGE and required a good amount of maneuvering to take that first bite. The meat patties were so juicy, and the two cheeses were perfect with the 4 patties. The fries were perfect, not too salty(especially considering the saltiness of the burger because of the bacon). I can’t quite figure out where I’ve tasted fries like theirs before, and I will not stop going to Captain Billy Whizzbang’s until I have. Service: The service was typical. The girl behind the counter didn’t look very friendly, but took my rather difficult order pleasantly. The food was made fresh(she told the guys in the back our order after we ordered), and brought out to us very quickly. it was also pretty cool that they ask how many are in your group so they can bring out your food all together in one group, even if you order/pay separately. Environment: The coolest thing about this place is that the building doesn’t like look like a restaurant or a burger place at all. From the exterior, the building just looks like a random building. It’s not really located right on Valley Mills, so it’s a little less popular and less advertised. I paid $ 13.12 for meal. This was nothing compared to the quality and quantity of the food I ended up eating. If you’re looking for a good joint in Waco, Captain Billy Whizzbang’s is the place to go!

Best burgers in Waco! I’ve been to them all, and it’s as good as it gets. If you go around lunch time be ready to stand in line for just a bit. They have a drive thru too. My friends always get the WizzPig but I just get a regular big cheeseburger. Everything always comes out hot!
