Biggest ripoff and crap food I’ve EVER had the displeasure to put in front of myself. The ham was So dry I Literally chocked on it. My friend though he might have to do Heimlich… honest to God.
Now I see the newest ad where for $ 1.99 you can fill a container to go when you’re done eating.
I see it as an opportunity for the employees to NOT have to haul the garbage out.
If you want to eat there, just take a fork, head out back and get it, still warm, free… out of the dumpster.

Hair was in eggs. Doesnt give military discount like site says. Manager didnt know why. Very cold. Couldnt enjoy my food, had to rush to eat before food was cold. Carpet stinks

It Buffet food people. My review is mostly for the service. Most items are frozen and heated then place on the buffet. Went for lunch everything was good server was excellent! Plates cleared and drinks refilled constantly.

This is the best resteraunt in Waco I come here all the time and the employees are so nice! Food is always fresh I just love it here The food the service and very very Very Clean!!!

Worst place ever! The food was cold when it is supposed to be hot and the cold items hot. The holding temperature for hot food is supposed to be over 140 degrees and the cold food is supposed to be below 40 degrees. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager was so rude and impolite. She said she was going to check on the temperature of the food. And she came back and said it was ok that it was at 110 degrees. And I told her that is bacteria growing level temperature between 40 and 140 degrees. She didn’t apologize and the only thing she did was refund my money.

Mind way through of meal. I notice ROACHES crawling on the wall of our booth. I told a waitress she said sorry and continued on about her business. I asked for the manager. I told him about the roaches and showed them to him. He just replied thank you I will call pest control. Needless to say I will never be eating there again.

It’s a buffet, not fine dining. Fresh items on salad bar. Excellent veggies with lots of variety. Overall, excellent variety. Steak on grill mediocre. Again, it’s a buffet not fine dining. Grilled pork usually excellent. Sautéed mushrooms tasty. Lots of fried choices but I don’t eat fried food. Baked fish usually overcooked and chewy. Lots of deserts but I choose fruit, which is usually excellent. Good value, acceptable food. Want better food, go somewhere else and pay more $. Yep, it’s a buffet. I’ll go back for the veggies (but not the atmosphere).

Drove up at 10:45 on a Saturday, and when attempting to enter was told rather rudely that the power was out and that they weren’t letting anyone in. No explanation, no offer to come back, and no further information. Pretty much just «NO.» Heard folks coming out saying that they were letting folks finish their meals in the dark but weren’t even offering refunds to those who had paid already. To make matters worse, I ended up having one of the worst service experiences I have ever had at the restaurant we ended up having to go to because of this place’s closure.

I never leave this place satisfied with my purchase. $ 11 for a basic buffet. The food looks overcooked and its been sitting forever. The seafood section was horrible. The tables were not clean and our server was not helpful. I will NEVER return.

Your typical all-​you-​can-​eat buffet. The service is polite and the patronage is rude. The place is clean but you hope the person sitting at the table next to you doesn’t touch you. This is a good place to bring your family and satisfy those picky eaters. You can’t help but to find something palatable with the variety that Golden Corral provides.

Great food, they have upgraded tremendously since I went to it a year ago. Sadly so the cashier refused to check if they had military discount.

We visit this restaurant often but mostly for breakfast on the weekends. We decided to try the Saturday night buffett and it was the worst! There were no steaks or Ribs on the grill and we had to ask for them! Then it had to cook and it wouldn’t be ready for 20 or 30 mintues. We went for the fried fish and it had been sitting so long it was hard as a rock! I ask for fresh and they ignored me. I tried the orka and it too was hard and cold. Thumbs down for this manager and I think someone should be fired for this!

Food is ok. Salad bar unorganized, crab salad room temp. Service is decent. But the place is over priced for the food they serve.

Always a good selection although prices have gone up a couple of bucks. My wife enjoyed the jalopena corn bread. The chocolate cake was moist.

I ate here because a family member insisted on it. This is your typical all you can stuff in your face place with little kids picking over your food. This one has lots of selections, and the fruit and salad items aren’t too bad. There are some decent entrees and sides, and some not so good. My recommended strategy if you find yourself in GC: If you get something that doesn’t taste good, stop eating it immediately! Let them take it away and try something else. Don’t feel like you have to clean your plate or you will be sorry later.

Pretty good for an all-​you-​can-​eat buffet place. I paid 9.99 for anything I wanted and they had steak, salad, seafood, etc. I have never seen shrimp scampi before at an all-​you-​can-​eat place. I have never seen Habanero popcorn shrimp either, but they have them here. I tried the guacamole, not something to write home about, but definitely a good selection for the price.
Since Ryan’s closed down, this place really has no close competition anymore.

I have always enjoyed Golden Corral. But, I am disappointed in this location for their refusal to allow the Mt. Carmel survivors to reserve a room in which to hold their annual memorial service this year. This group has brought large numbers of people to the restaurant each year for the last sixteen years and their sudden decision to block the reservation left me wondering why we still chose to eat lunch there after the memorial. If we aren’t wanted, neither are our pocketbooks.

Normally I loathe buffets. Typically they’re filled with mediocre food sitting around getting cold and stiff while cranky servers and obnoxious customers push one another out of the way to get at it.
Well, Golden Corral here has most of that, except that the grill man whipped up a seriously kick-​ass good steak for me tonight than suprised me bigtime. Add to that a side of amazingly good mushrooms, some solid made from scratch mashed potatos, and I was good to go. Honestly, I’m betting this is an exception to the rule, but man, I love steak, and I’m from Kansas CIty, and this was a GOOD steak.
The customers were awful. Pushy and cranky. Even one of the staffers pushed me out of the way. That part was pretty crap. The rest of the food was ok — regular buffet style, nothing spectacular.
If you’re in a jam and need a fix, this place will do. It’s all you can eat, so if you’ve got room for it, go for it.

I never leave this restaurant feeling satisfied. It’s an all you can eat buffet with a lot of food, but it’s just not very good. It used to be really bad, but lately it has been better, I’ve heard.
