Logan’s Roadhouse

We went on a Sunday evening for dinner, it was not very crowded. Our server was very inattentive, half of our food was brought out and the missing sides were brought later which were cold. Our server never checked on us and did not bring one drink refill. They were out of hamburgers which is the reason my son chose this restaurant. The server said our card had been declined and when I sent her to rerun the card she did not bring a merchant copy to sign, the copy she brought clearly said it was manually keyed and there is a second slip for the guest to sign. There are many other choices for steakhouses in Waco and I would pick one of those instead!

Food was ok but service was terrible! Never felt so ignored in my life. Go here if you want to torture yourself!

Our second visit and I can only give you advice on what not to order. Fried mushrooms, wine, house or Cesar salad and baked potato. The steaks were OK but just OK.
We’ll give it another shot but only for a lunch. Its damn hard to screw up a burger and fries with a soft drink.
If your looking for an enjoyable meal in the $ 40 range go elsewhere.

Unlike the Logan’s location near my home, this one was a good experience. The waitstaff took great care of me and the food was delicious. My steak was prepared exactly as ordered and had a good taste to it. I don’t expect a dry aged masterpiece of a steak when I visit a Logan’s…just middle of the road and a comfortable environment.

Food was great! Music was tooooo loud. We are oldish and don’t like to raise our voice for conversation.

I’ve had several poor quality steaks here. Very inconsistent from each visit. I haven’t had a steak from here in over a year, so maybe things are better.
I do however order To-​Go potato skins ALOT.
They are pretty good.
I will say: It seems like they have an over abundance of employees. Countless times I’ve visited, I see a group of teenage employee girls gossiping in a group and not attending to customers. I’ve had several times where the person who was supposed to be opening door for customer/​greeting them etc. was off in lala land day dreaming about who knows what and completely ignoring the customers.
For someone who eats here quite regularly, I do like the fact they have the $ 3 off survey coupon on the receipts.

They really need to improve their menu selection. It seems like all they have is steak and burgers. And their menu is large! The service is okay and the food is just eh.

The food is way over-​seasoned and the staff is not great. The manager told me that people like pork chops seasoned this way and they use an aggressive blend of spices. I like salt but one bite and I was overwhelmed with salt, so much so that I needed tea to choke it down. This rude manager is the number one reason I will never go back.

Me and a friend were in the area for 3 days and we were in need of some food! Decided to visit Logan’s Roadhouse and boy did we get some food! Came here on a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly, it was not busy. We decided to sit at the bar because you can still smoke inside (One of the reasons I love Texas). The Bartender, Chase (I believe that was his name) was very friendly and made sure we were being taken care of. The peanuts of course was very available and we made sure we helped ourselves to it as we looked over the menu. Ordered the Fried Cheese and Bacon Burger and Queso and Dip for an appetizer. Didn’t take long before our orders came to the table and BOOM! that sandwich was huge!!! I had to cut it in pieces because it was too big for my mouth. The taste was above average and it was very filling! The queso and dip was your average appetizer which was pretty good and filling. Overall, Had a great experience here and look forward to my next visit to Texas. Mahalo!

Meh!!! That is the best I can do about my visit. We have been here in the past and it has always been good but not so much with this visit. I ordered a sirloin steak and it was pretty tough on top of not being close to how i ordered it cooked. The iced tea tasted like it was from powder and had been in the urn a day or two almost like it had a little mold in it. It might have been the curse of Waco water but I know that taste and I am pretty sure that wasn’t it. To make it worse the skillet that they brought it out on had about a half inch of burned charcoal on it. I didn’t See that till I had already started eating. The only reason that I am giving 2 stars is our server Mary. She was very friendly and helpful. Overall I would like to try again but it may be awhile.

Everytime I’ve gone the Steak has been excellent. The rolls are the kind that melt in your mouth. They are nothing short of delicious. Then there are the peanuts… your allowed to toss them on the ground. Ive always been a fan of that. The place is still very clean nonetheless. The menu has more than just steaks all of which is tasty.

The mashed potatoes are like glue.

Lets just say that the only thing I am a fan of here is the rolls. Enough said.

I’ve always enjoyed Logan’s. The service is good and the staff friendly. I’ve no complaints about the food, either. I always go Monday-​Wednesday and get the two-​for-​one special.

i got cold, poorly tasting food here and flat beer.

Their steak is really disappointing. It has no flavor. If you have to put steak sauce on your steak just to eat it, then it was not cooked well. I can marinate and cook a better steak at home. I asked for medium but got it pretty rare. They also got my side order wrong. price is good, there’s a promotion for $ 13 you can get two entrees and a salad or soup as one of your two side options. This place is sometimes pretty packed though, and you may have to wait in line a while, so I’d call ahead and check how long the wait is. We didn’t have to wait at all on my most recent visit here.

My partner and I were driving through Waco and were hungry. We were looking for the Texas Roadhouse, but came upon Logan’s first. The wait was minimal for a Saturday night, so we decided to give it a try.
Strike 1 — We were seated at a table that still had dirty dishes on it. I think the waitress was using the empty table as a staging area for dishes from other tables.
Strike 2 — The «sweet» tea wasn’t, and then was too much. The sweet tea was frist served with no sweetner at all. The waitress took it away and brought back tea that was way too sweet. There was visible sugar sitting on the bottom of the glass.
Strike 3 — I think the «Country Fried Steak» came from a Marie Callendar’s frozen dinner. I take that back, I think it came from a Hungry Man frozen dinner.
Don’t waste your time or money with Logan’s.
