Great place for breakfast. Fantastic service and great food. I definitely recommend trying this place.

the food is bland and the omelet fluffy and dry I had the ranch potatoes loaded and the green chili overpowered the taste. The waitress didn’t bring me a water which she met the next people with promptly. I came here before with a coworker and it was better. Unfortunately the place was close yet if I had to do it again I would spend the gas and go for better. For the price you expect a certain thing and when you don’t get it it’s better to save your complaint and just don’t come back… Do better Egg place!!!

We have an Egg and I in my home town and it pales in comparison to this place. Awesome, friendly staff with minimum wait for a busy Sunday morning. Hosts quoted 20 – 25 minute wait and got us to a table before their time was up. Our server Beth was a gem! Super sweet and helpful. Hazelnut coffee was Delish, food was piping hot, flavor was perfect. Eggcellent service all around!

I ordered the huevos rancheros. It was tasty. The seating was clean and the waitress was friendly. The only thing I would change would be to have more waffle type dishes. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my food and I must say it is some of the best in Waco!

For a Sunday in Waco, this place was packed! It reminds me of a cleaner IHOP with a more progressive menu. The service was good, food was a little slow to come out but overall meal was decent. Once finished, you have to wait for your server to eventually come around with your check, then pay at the front. The servers manage a lot of tables each by bringing carafes of whatever beverages are ordered(less checking in on refills).

My husband and I visited for the first time and we were very pleasantly surprised. I admit that we are picky people when it comes to service, food, and volume of people. This location gave us a 25 minute wait(which was completely understandable since it was the perfect brunch time). After putting a name down we went to Petsmart in the shopping center to kill some time. We returned about 15 minutes later(they didn’t have any kitties in the cat room that day at Petsmart) and stood at the front. The hostess saw us, repeated the name we had given earlier, and said they just called us. We were seated in the perfect spot, were given great service, a complimentary sample of the kale cooler(delicious!), and had a great meal. We will definitely be going back!

We were delighted to try this restaurant. It will be our new favorite place to eat. The service was slow, but the restaurant was very busy, so that is expected. It is extremely clean with plenty of staff all working together. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working and we saw no one just sitting around or not working hard to keep things moving. Our food was good and we felt very comfortable and appreciated as customers. Certainly will be going back. Might try their lunch next time.

I love this place for breakfast or a great egg burger! My kiddos love it, too, and that’s always a plus! The staff is super friendly and the owner is always on the floor. Great addition to Waco’s food scene.

Just had the raisin French toast at the Egg and I. It was fabulous but was even better when put with stellar service and a great environment. Thank you Cierra for making our morning with your upbeat attitude and your eagerness to serve. You are an asset to the Egg and I. Coffee was great. Eggs were perfect and French toast was a dream! We aren’t from the area, just passing through but already planning another trip to bring our kids. They will love your waffles!

If you are in Waco do yourself and your family a favor and go to The Egg & I. Service was excellent. Thank you Cierra for the great service you provided. The food was fresh and delicious. I was very pleased with the pricing especially when compared to the quality of service, food, and the atmosphere. We do not live here, but travel here for business often. I will never come to Waco again without stopping at The Egg & I. Keep up the great work.

Had breakfast here today at approximately 7:10a.m. Got my order to go and handed my card to the server girl. Picked up my card at the counter and signed the cc receipt. Was notified by my bank via text alert for a fraud alert. This is the only place I ran my card all day and the bank confirmed the fraudulent charges were not long after my card was used at this place. Will not be going back and I recommend paying cash if you do choose to dine here.

We were seated in the main room and asked if the table was ok. It was. After we ordered we were asked to move to make room for a big party that needed to use our table. I was fine with this and happy to accommodate. The GM comped our meal as a thank you. I will be back. They are extremely attentive to guests.

I have avoided Egg & I because of it being a chain but decided to try it on Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised. First our wait was short at 10:30am & the menu is extensive(however all the pancakes were whole wheat). We opted for the Parisian Eggs Benedict & cottage potatoes. It was all very good including the Hollandaise Sauce. The croissant held up nicely and the potatoes were very good. Did not try the coffee but the service was good. It was expensive($ 9.+ per plate) but you get a lot of food.

Very slow service. You would think that a place called egg and I would remember that I ordered eggs with my breakfast. Waiter brought out my waffle but never brought my eggs even after asking three times. Do not recommend.

I absolutely love this place. Everything I’ve had from there is delicious but my favorite is the Cambridge skillet. The staff is always very friendly and polite. They always have seasonal coffee and they bring out your own pot. It’s my go to breakfast spot in Waco.

I have no earthly idea why Café Cap is the ‘place to go’ in Waco and this isn’t. I was so impressed when I went out to breakfast with my parents last Sunday. We would have gone to Café Cappuccino but we were in a time crunch and this place was close to their hotel. I had the apple chicken sausage scramble with an English muffin and fruit. My mom had a blueberry wheat pancake, my dad had the 2 eggs with ranch potatoes and sausage. We were raving about all of it all the way back to the hotel.

If I could give this place negative stars o would. We have been several times and the girl at the front with all the makeup had such an attitude. She will seat people with a large group way before she will seat a group of two that were here before. And when you try to talk to her will just ignore you. The food is good and the service is ok. I have given them 4 chances and get screwed every time I will never go back and o am letting all of my friends don’t go there!!!

Absolutely the best breakfast and brunch in Waco. The quality of food and service is definitely worth the prices here. Through some of my community involvement, I have found the owner is involved in helping Waco in some big ways. He is a the type of humble, generous man that every community needs more of.

GREAT Eggs Benedict! I’m a connoisseur of them, and this was cooked very well. I ordered the original, but without the fresh green opinions. They were receptive and kind enough to add some(fresh!) asparagus, which made it a Real eggs Benedict experience to me. Now, if only they’d had mimosas… My hubby ordered egg whites, grits, muffin(plus he ate half my ranch fries(good, but need more seasoning). He thought everything was good. I tasted his grits and they were Texas style, not like the watery style at Cracker Barrel. I am upset with myself, because I asked the Excellent waitress her name, and promptly forgot it. Hopefully we’ll return soon, and I’ll add that to this post. I Rarely give 5 stars, but I’ve rarely had such good eggs Benedict!

Very nice restaurant: small but with great menu and a lot of choices. I wish it was open later. Had Greek salad and half sandwich combo and if was very tasty. Husband had Ruben sandwich and liked it as well. Defiantly will be back.

Great food, quick service The only breakfast choice in waco. All other breakfast restaurants pale in comparison. My favorite is the rainforest blend coffee, I get mine with a side of milk and make a café au lait.

Known for their benedicts so I chose the first one under that section on their menu — the parisian benedict! I got this one because instead of the tradition English muffin, it comes with a buttery croissant and I LOVE croissants especially with butter ;) It was good! I chose the ranch potatoes it’s served with(or can choose grits) and the meal was enjoyable. I would order this again. I came here for lunch with my mom and some of her church friends. We were immediately seated for a table for 5. I love when we are able to be immediately seated! Very attentive staff. The waitress was somewhat stiff though but what seemed like the manager of the restaurant was very kind when handling our check at the end. Very open lighting with the many windows and feels like a homey place with the décor and environment. It feels more homey and clean than an IHOP.

For an egg themed restaurant, they can’t get eggs right. Poached eggs were hard boiled. Over easy were hard cooked. Really? People should expect better. Apparently the masses don’t care. Avoid this chain

Amazing food, but overpriced. $ 6 for one single pancake is a bit much, even if it is «as big as the plate»(which is just an average sized plate). Great service, especially if you’re lucky enough to sit in H’s section. That’s who you ask for, just H. We asked his name, but he prefers H. Lol! I highly recommend the croissant sandwich with turkey, apples, apple butter, cranberries, and baby spinach. It is truly an awesome combination of flavors, and it’s more reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food set before you than the single pancake. I’ll dine there again, but I’ll stick to the sandwiches and stay away from the overpriced breakfast dishes.

The service was top notch– our waitress was attentive, speedy, and polite. I sampled a bite of another tablemate’s mammoth blueberry pancake– that is what I should have ordered. Warm, sweet pancake batter and tart, pleasant blueberries– scrumptious. My choice was okay– 2 egg combo with bacon, ranch potatoes, egg whites, and English muffin. The English muffin was toasted on a griddle– it was fine, a bit hard but fine. The bacon was crunch, which is how I like it, and tasty! I LOVE hash browns, and there were an abundance. But they were slightly under-seasoned and undercooked. Sad times. The egg whites would have been fine were they firmer– I did not ask for them that way but would moving forward. All in all, great service, okay food– when in a pinch, go for a pancake.
