The food is good, but a little plain for the price to be honest. The sushi is the most overpriced thing there. Granted, there aren’t many sushi options in Waco.

Place smells amazing when you walk in… food did not match it. Staff pleasant. Won ton soup tasted and looked like out of a can… thin and tasteless. Crab puffs were ok. My caramel shrimp was good. Wife had S/S chicken… it came with no sauce. We LOVE Chinese food. Eat it often home in California. This is not home. Sad face.

Always consistently good! Great food with exceptional flavor and quality. Very easy to substitute or adjust dishes. Love the Mongolian chicken and honey seared shrimp.

I always ate here during my four years here. Great food and service! This place was always packed so sometimes they did slow down on immediate service but besides that they did they’re job well and efficiently!!! Repeat business for sure!

I had high hopes when Pei Wei opened in Waco several years ago. I love PF Chang’s(Pei Wei’s parent company) and was hoping that Pei Wei would be similar. Unfortunately, after about a dozen tries I gave up trying to find a dish on the Pei Wei menu that I like. Everything in doused in either syrupy-sweet or excessively salty sauce. Unlike PF Chang’s, there aren’t any fresh or healthy options at Pei Wei. I leave feeling both over-full and unsatisfied. I will keep going to PF Chang’s in Dallas and Cathay House in Waco.

Great food, excellent staff. They love Jesus. When I go I like to sit at the bar and watch the cooks make the food. It’s so fascinating!

First of all, my wife and I ate there today for Lunch and as always the food was great! I had read the two reviews about dirty dishes and didn’t really believe it. The second fork my wife picked up for us had used rice still in it. Hmmmm. No dirty plates tho Because we ordered a shared meal and they brought no plate but the platter the food was on. Also I love their orange tea and always put a large fresh orange slice in Mine and one in my wife’s water. No orange slices just lemon slices. Otherwise ok Visit.

I’ve never had an issue here like some other reviewers. Never had dirty plates or slow service. I think their food is really good and you get a lot of it.

8 employees in restaurant. Total of 4 customers here. Only 2 «clean» tables. Employees on phones texting led to «sorry for the long wait». dirty everything. Soy sauce so dirty can’t touch bottle. No clean utensils. Dirty tables, booths, chairs etc. Very disappointed. Food is good and only reason for one star. Order wrong ordered brown rice. Got fried rice. Husband order did not have the extra peanuts he ordered. Ordered appetizer it did not come out until food came out. Cook apologized and brought out correct food.

Mongolian steak and fried rice were very good. My son had the Lo Mein with chicken and he enjoyed it for being a picky eater. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and will be returning soon.

This is a review specifically for the Pei Wei in Waco, TX. Lately, this Pei Wei has gone way downhill. For one, their plates are dirty! It’s disgusting! When I can visibly see that the plates you’re giving out have not been cleaned properly, it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in the food. Besides the dirty plates, which is bad enough, the food has not been good the last two times I’ve been there. The first time, the egg rolls were dripping with oil, and the second time the beef in our Mongolian with beef was burned to a crisp and drenched in overly salty sauce. I never thought I’d write a bad review about a Pei Wei, but this one is just that bad.

The overall experience I’ve had at Pei Wei my last two visits have been very poor. For starters I have to comment about the dirty plates. They have a place by the drink fountain where you can grab an extra plate. Well the first one I grabbed had sauce sticking to it very visibly like some just ran it through water and didn’t even use soap. I anticipated this might be a problem because I had the same thing happen the last time I came. So I waited until the waitress brought the food to ask for an extra plate. I watched go over to a different pile of plates by the serving window, grab a plate, look at it, put it down and grab another one before she brought it to me. Which I’m guessing the plate she put down was probably as nasty as the one I picked up earlier. On to the food, first I had the wonton soup which was actually pretty decent. I also tried the sweet and sour soup which was pretty bad. It had such a strong sour flavor that it was hard to get down. For the entrée I had Mongolian beef. This is where the food got really bad. The beef was cut thin and clearly over cooked, possibly burned. And I think to hide the burn, they drenched it in sauce. And normally I like the Mongolian sauce, but this time it was way too salty. It’s like they put way too much soy sauce in it that even the rice wouldn’t soak up all the salty taste. I want to be clear that this one star review is only for the valley mills Pei Wei. I have been to Pei Wei on numerous occasions and really enjoyed it, but this location has gotten so bad. My guess is that they changed management, and that’s why it’s so bad. Because for that many things to go wrong, you know the problems start from the top.

Great place for Asian cuisine. My wife and I stopped in to try it, and it was very delicious. Order the sushi and the honey seared chicken and added shrimp with fried rice. Wife order the dan dan noodles with the ground chicken. I liked mines better than hers. We will be back to try more items

The menu is on the wall. The girl taking the order was a tad rude. The place was packed and dirty. We sat in the smallest booth ever. The food was subpar at best. It was exactly what I thought it’d be before I walked in there. Portions were small for what we paid for it. Waco has something against good Asian food I think. All they have are subpar, fast food feel Asian food places that car more about décor than food quality. So frustrating. :-(

Enjoyed a well presented flavorful lunch with my sister. Started with an egg roll & spring roll which arrived hot, fresh and yummy. We both ordered lettuce wraps. Hers was traditional and I tried the Korean steak. I will order the Korean Steak again it was full of fresh cucumbers, carrots and shallots. My mouth was very happy. My sister didnt care for my choice but thoroughly enjoyed her traditional wraps. We will visit again when I return to Waco. In other words it was real good.

This is just a review on pei wei waco tx. Went there probably around 7pm 1÷3÷13 One of the staff saw me get and carry a high chair and he knew my hand was full but he did not offered any assistance. Our waitress was great and very polite and welcoming. Food: pad thai — big no no. Im used to eating at thai restaurants and i this is way far from them. Fried rice– was ok Lettuce rolls was great. If the menu says Sriracha Pineapple Pork, and there’s a red icon denoting«spicy», I would assume that the heat would be detectable to the taste buds. Mine tasted fine except for the complete lack of heat. Maybe the Sriracha evaporated while my plate sat on the counter. The cook had to remind the server that my plate had been sitting there for several minutes. Overall, I can’t say that I was impressed.

This review is not intended to rate the quality of all Pei Wei locations. It is only meant for the location in Waco on Waco Dr. and Valley Mills. I have eaten at Pei Wei at least once a week for the last 10 years. This was by far the worst PW experience I’ve ever had. The only reason this is rated two stars and not one is because the food was still good(even though my husband’s order and my order were both incorrect.) Here’s a summary of our experience: — took 20 minutes to order b/c they were understaffed — food took 18 minutes to arrive — both orders were incorrect — soda machine offered 10% of what it usually does — the ice was out
