The food and drinks are exceptional, with reasonable prices considering the caliber of each. The lakeside patio made it especially worth it!

Four of us tried Lola’s for the first time tonight, we sat on the deck the view was nice. We went for Happy Hour. They have 6 items on HH menu, they were however out of tacos two out of the 6HH offerings, & out all tacos at 5pm on Sunday. They charge $ 10 for one crab cake on the HH menu vs $ 16 for 2 on the regular menu. The other offering on HH were chips & salsa, fish & chips ½ order and a very disappointing $ 10 flat bread. Completely unimpressed, service was slow, never brought extra napkins & plates we requested. I ordered Bloody Mary at HH pricing they were $ 8.00 for rail vodka, with a shot of miller light! The food was not good, service terrible, will not be back.

I like the food at Lola’s, but the service has always been consistently awful – and we’ve been there probably about 10 times over the years. Plus, it’s way overpriced. I wish they’d starting putting their customers first, because although I like the deck in the summer, there aren’t that many reasons to go back.

I have been here a few times, and I think the atmosphere is very nice. Great view of the lake. The food is above average depending on what you order, and the wait staff is pretty attentive. I have been here with a few larger groups for lunch and dinner both, and just myself and another diner or two at different times, and have never had to wait for seating or service. My only real gripe would be their holiday buffets. I was here last year for Thanksgiving and the buffet was kind of a mess. Even the set up was odd. Plus, I think they were short-staffed and had some part-timers who were mostly just standing around talking to each other rather than keeping the buffet clean and full. They really need to re-think that entire set-up, IMHO. Other than that, I don’t think you will be disappointed. My favorites are their stone-fired pizza’s, lobster mac & cheese, and fish and chips.(They make a great fish & chips!)

Came here for lunch with a group of about 20. Gave them very little warning. They handled our group like pros! Didn’t mess up a single split check, didn’t have to wait too long for drinks, didn’t have to wait an unnecessary amount of time for food, didn’t mess up a single dish. i was incredibly impressed. Many restaurants would have been having issues with a group this size with no warning. KUDOS to the staff. The food was really good too. not to mention the view is killer!!! I had the steak sandwich with fries. SOOOOO good. Messy and a huge portion but stick to your ribs delicious. the fries are really good. There were about 4 things on the menu I wanted too. Picking the sandwhich was a good call but many other things caught my eye. If I could complain about one thing it;s that they don’t keep ketchup on the table. i use a lot of ketchup. I had to ask the servers about 3 times for ketchup. Just give me the bottle. I will definitely make the trek out there this summer for some day drinking. The place is beautiful.

Got the Cajun chicken pasta and it was delicious. Right on lake Minnetonka. Perfect restaurant for the summer. Prices are a little high but the portions are big and the taste is well worth it.

Definitely my favorite restaurant to go to in Waconia. Love the Cobb salad, lobster bisque, sweet potato fries and the atmosphere. Mmmm.

Good flatbread pizzas, great deck in the summer. Always fun to pull up in the boat and have an easy meal overlooking the lake.

I have to echo what others have said: the food is pretty average to bland, especially for the price. Our table spent $ 198 for the four of us and felt like we got nothing for the price. The fish was soggy, the club had no taste, the steak was decent. The cocktails were made incorrectly and took forever. The dessert drinks were pretty bad too. The only reason we give this place 3 instead of 2 stars is that the server tried to make up for the slow service and bad food and drinks with her gentle humor; so thank you for that. Great location, though really hard to see on the patio in the dark(where were some cute string bulbs?). Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again, even though we did this time.

Well this place is not exactly inexpensive, but it is the best in town. After my bad $ 12 burger experience in downtown waconia, I needed burger redemption. I was not disappointed in lolas! The angus burger was moist, yet cooked to perfection. It included all the usual fixings plus a pickle. The bacon was thickcut, fresh and high quality. I split the burger and a spinach salad with my lunch mate and it was absolutely perfect! The staff on the phone and when I arrived for pickup was very friendly and the order took about 20 minutes even though they were quite busy with the lunch rush. My to-go order came with condiments and silverware and napkins as one would expect, but is shockingly not common elsewhere. The packaging is recyclable plastic and the owner does a lot to help local families in need, five well deserved stars.

Four of us got there around 5pm on Sunday. It wasn’t super busy. Since it was a gorgeous night, we decided to sit out on the patio. We were enjoying the beautiful lake view… umm… where is our wait person??? About half an hour later, our waitress showed up and took our drink order. I can’t even remember how long it took until we got our drinks. And we waited forever for our food to arrive. We can’t keep admiring the view forever. Besides, it was getting so dark and late. There was no view anymore… I know our waitress was trying hard to please us but she doesn’t have any control over the things in the kitchen. Yes, the location is wonderful. I have no complain about that… but food was mediocre and of course, one of the friends with lactose intolerance got cheese on her plate even we specifically requested not to…

Mediocre. All in all, disappointing. We dropped 110 bucks(not including the tip) on the bar menu. I’ve never been here before and I wouldn’t make a special trip here unless I happened to live in the area. 1) The FOOD was decent but in my opinion, didn’t match up to my high expectations based on the price. 2) The MENU was goofy for a Sunday. The four of us were super hungry. But on a Sunday at 4:00, our only option was the bar menu or the appetizer menu. Apparently, the«brunch» menu ends at 3:00 on Sunday and the«dinner» menu starts at 5:00 on Sunday. Pretty stupid to have this two hour gap if you want a real, substantial meal. 3) The SERVICE was friendly but s-u-p-e-r s-l-o-w. 4) The view on the deck was amazing except for the INSECTS. For some reason, there were a ton of wasps… so we moved inside. To our disappointment, there were a nearly equal number of flies inside! Frankly, I’d rather have the wasps looking for food outside than the dirty flies landing on our heads and our food inside – yuck! Two of us had shaved heads and they kept landing on our bare heads – gross! How about doing something about the flies at night, when the customers are gone!!! Probably won’t be back. –Daddy Maxx Retro

Tonight I had the Chilean Seabass. It was wonderful. The citrus sauce had so much flavor. I loved the paired veggies. The salad was fresh with tomatoes and sliced parmesan. The house dressing was so tasty– I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend Lola’s Lakehouse. I hope to return while visiting the area this week and will be back each visit to Waconia. A well deserved 5 stars.

It was a cute trendy place on the lake. I was hoping for more of a variety in menu, but the bartender made my brandy old fashioned perfectly so that’s that. I had the prosciutto flatbread it was delicious. Also had a side of fries and they were just ok. We waited a long time for everything but since it was beautiful outside it didn’t seem to matter to much. The waitress was communicative about the wait so that was nice. As a former server I appreciate that communication when things are out of your control.

This is a great option of you’re looking for dining on/near water. We were seated On the bar deck and it was very pleasant. It’s right on Lake Waconia, and the views don’t get much better. I had the prosciutto and goat cheese flatbread and I had no issue finishing the whole thing. I would definitely recommend it. Service was decent. We were there on a Friday night, so very busy. We had to wait a little longer than normal for the food, but not a distractingly long amount of time. Overall a really good experience, and very good food.

Mother’s Day slash birthday present for Mom this year: flying her up to her sister’s 60th wedding anniversary in Waconia. After flying in from Chicago on rainy night: a delayed and a long drive trying to follow which lane I was in, in the pouring rain, we didn’t get to Waconia until 9 pm or so. I thought that there would be no hope for a decent meal in such a small town, even on the Friday night before Labor Day. The Ground Round outside the hotel beckoned. I held my nose: Was there a decent, non-chain restaurant in what promised to be a cute little town? Ah, but Unilocal to the rescue, Lola’s was waiting for us with open arms: a beacon of light on a storm-swept sea; a boathouse full of history, with comfy, private booths to sink into for an infrequent mother-son chat, a wood structure and adornments wherever the eye could see, a sweet, energetic server who knew the menu well, a couple cuties sipping cosmopolitans, and a nice Malbec to pleasure the tongue and take the edge off the miles. Mom wasn’t too hungry, but loved the Lobster Bisque. I went for a cup of the chowder and the seafood pie, which was elegant with its pâte à choux crust – flaky and delicious, and just enough on the top to be present and pleasant, but not too demanding of the attention of my tongue. It was chock full of seafood, including a nice lobster claw. I might have preferred a little more seasoning to balance the cream, but it was very tasty the way it was. Oh, and the bread with the herb butter was delectable as well. We sat on the bar side, and I was a little surprised that the place was dead on a Friday night, but passing by on land and by sea(take that, Paul Revere – I did both!) the next couple days, it seemed like quite the scene on a sunny day. And it should be, with its front row view of the lake. Make sure you check out the book about Waconia and its Coney Island by the hostess stand. We only had time for a quick thumbing through it, but I wish I’d had more time: it was a bit like hitch-hiking to another era.

Admittedly I have not been here during the summer — but this seems like a much more relaxed — less of a place to be seen vs some of the spots on Lake Minnetonka… in a good way. Friendly bartenders — a lake view second to none, and occasional live music, and garage door style walls, make this a Yay! We stopped in after Lola’s Half for our burger and beers. The Traveling Groundeds(sp?) were playing — a two piece band that is regularly booked here — are worth making their performance a destination. Additionally — junk in the bloody’s, Bells Two Hearted on tap among other fine beers. We’ll be back — and we appreciate their sponsorship of the local racing scene.
