Best of the best!!! Good choices to satisfy one with a sweet palate… Lots of good choices, I have no clue what the ingredients are in their ice cream but it was truly very creamy and just made perfectly. The smell of the waffle cones is so enticing and can easily draw one in. It’s too bad it’s in Hawaii. However, no visit to Hawaii is complete without a visit to Lappert’s. That’s all I have to say about that!

Had to stop by Lappert’s for break from the heat at The Shops at Wailea. We have a Lappert’s available in the Bay Area but it was nice to see all the flavors Hawaii had to offer. As much as I wanted to sample all the special Hawaiian flavors, I decided on Kauai Pie shake. Worth every cent. delicious and cooled us from the heat!

It’s good but it’s expensive for ice cream. I had the macadamia nut ice cream and my guest had the pie ice cream. 2 of our ice cream which is one scoop and a waffle cone was $ 10 something. There was a line but it went by quick when I saw the worker making fresh waffle cones from a batter and the ice cream is handmade. I was thirsty after so here’s a tip bring or buy water from the shops next door. Also I sampled a few of their ice creams before ordering, thanks!

I have been a fan of Lappert’s since I was a kid. No visit to Hawaii is complete without this decadent ice cream. We were located locally so it was a real treat to be able to walk to Lappert’s at the Shops at Wailea for dessert. Lappert’s was always bustling with lines out the door no matter what time we arrived. All employees I had the pleasure of coming in contact with were always kind, helpful, and super efficient at moving everyone through. Walking up to the shops you can smell their fresh made waffle cones before you even see them. The smells were too good to resist and I opted for a waffle cone every time we visited. All their flavors are so exotic and tropical its hard not to get one of each. You can always taste something to help make your decision. Lappert’s always brings back such good memories and it’s not a Hawaii visit for me unless I stop into Lappert’s.

I agree with the other reviewers when they say that no visit to Hawaii is complete without a trip to Lappert’s. Kauai has a few Lappert’s locations, but this is the only one on Maui not including the location in Lahaina that just carries their ice cream. My favorite ice cream of theirs is Kauai Pie. It is coffee ice cream with macadamia nuts and a dark chocolate ribbon. So much yum! This time I decided to try some new flavors so I had a scoop of Roasted Banana and Salted Caramel and a scoop of Kona Lava Java in a Waffle Cone. They were both legendary! The Roasted Banana had a great strong(and fresh) banana flavor and the Kona Lava Java reminded me of my beloved Kauai Pie. I would definitely get both of them again. My Husband, Stepdaughter and Stepson each got the Lava Tube specialty creation which had vanilla ice cream, macadamias, chocolate sauce and a bunch of other wonderful things stacked inside a cup. My Husband hasn’t stopped talking about it. The shop is very small with no place to sit inside, but there are plenty of seats in the mall courtyard right outside. They also have a great selection of Lappert’s merchandise to take back to the mainland with you as well as baked goods to go. Every time we go to Hawaii we look forward to going to Lappert’s and that still hasn’t changed. We will always make a point to come back here every time.

We heard this place had«the best ice cream ever», so we had to try it before we left Hawaii… It was definitely delicious, and up there with the best we have tried; however, it is still behind Tahitian Vanilla Bean ice cream in actual Tahiti. I doubt any ice cream will ever be able to top that, but this place came close. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was the customer service was below par. The lady behind the counter(she wasn’t rude enough to call out by name) said«only quiet kids get ice cream.» One, I doubt that is store policy, and two, my friends and I can raise our own kids, thanks. Even with that one unnecessary comment, the ice cream was too good to rate them any lower than 4 stars. I would highly recommend stopping in here for a taste.

Lapperts is some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Since I was a little kid, everyone trip to Hawaii wouldn’t be complete without multiple stops to Lapperts. It’s great to see that they continue to flourish and haven’t changed much. We stopped in at this location while shopping in Wailea and it was everything I remembered it to be. I went all out and was as happy as could be. Their Hawaiian flavors are everything they sound like. Their Kona Coffee is some of the best coffee ice cream you can get anywhere, period. Strongly recommended.

Third time here in 24 hours. Both coffee and ice cream flavors are TD4. This is their only location on Maui. If you can make it, do so… it will change your life beyond a positive way.

Came here with my boyfriend on vacation, and loved the ice cream! Was excited to try their waffle cones, but each time we got one it was very soggy and had absolutely no crunch to it. Ice cream was really good though! Also, the site says they close at 9:30, but each time we went here and confirmed it with the staff, they said they closed at 10:30?

Lapperts is the ice cream chain in Hawaii. They are everywhere. We ate at various locations and always had a good cone. What else is there to say. You’re on vacation and this is great ice cream. Take the wife and kids several times per day.

You’ll find this ice cream store at one end of the deserted mall. The mall itself is crappy, but this place brings the sunshine in. Wow the Hawaiian flavors are all so delicious! Sample before you decide, because many of them taste similar, but unique in their own way. We couldn’t decide between many of the flavors, so we got the Nene Tracks and Turtle Cluster one, which was SOBOMB. I rate it 4 stars because it’s pricy for an ice cream cone! $ 6 for a double scoop, and an extra $ 1 for a waffle cone= total $ 7.24 Also, parking at the crappy Shops at Wailea mall is $ 6/hour, which is absurd and ridic.

I love Lappert’s ice cream and always try to have some when I visit Hawaii. This location is in the Shops at Wailea right near my hotel so the location is close by. I am doing dairy free and luckily they have 4 or 5 options. I had the coconut passion fruit sorbet. Nice fruit flavor. I did not miss the dairy. Mom had the Kona coffee ice cream. Good coffee flavor. Nice and smooth how she likes it. We both had our ice cream in cups but the waffle cones smelled tasty.

Stopped by here for a treat while we shopped and seriously had to sit down because the ice cream was too good we had to be seated to take it in haha. You can sample the flavours you want to try first, then choose. It’s a small shop and can get very crowded so if you can squeeze in while it’s slower you’ll have a more enjoyable experience and the employees are more relaxed. They’re very eager to help and to take your order too.

Last stop of every night in Maui! Some of the finest ice cream and sorbets your taste in the planet. For the ice cream selection FRANK says it’s either KONACOFFEE, Coconut or Pineapple Coconut that graces my tastebuds. On a rare occasion I go for macadamia nut ice cream scope, but KONA Coffee has a fantastic flavor my heart can’t deny! The sorbets are unbelievable again the winner is the mango one. I have a hard time saying no to Mango favor town. Stop by and see ir better yet taste for yourself it’s the only stop you should make after dinner.
