This shack is at the entrance of the Rainbow Mall in front of Café O’Lei. It is another excellent spot for shave ice. The syrup and ice cream are very good. I ordered a half cherry and half watermelon shave ice with vanilla ice cream. It is on par with all the best shave ice spots I tried on the Hawaiian islands. Great location, very good coffee and shave ice. A nice selection of flavors, «bottoms»(vanilla ice cream!) and toppings. To be honest, I didn’t experience the really great service people are raving about, but I didn’t receive bad service.

Kona shake is where it’s at with espresso beans crushed up in the shake. Delicious! Also great was the dirty chai. Shave ice was good but one of our two was way too sweet. Great spot for treats on a hot day.

It’s hard to go wrong w/shaved ice, but I’ve had better. It could’ve been my flavor choice… had the coconut… artificial taste to it compaired to their competitor down the street. My hubby liked his pinneapple & strawberry! The icecream in the middle was good. If I had nothing to compair it to I’d say it was very good but because I’ve had better, I’d say it was refreshingly just ok… decent prices, friendly staff

Refreshing and delicious. I got a small with Lychee, Passionfruit, and Haupia on top. It tasted like a tropical paradise. Great combination! The Haupia makes everything so creamy and good. My sister got the prefixed combination of flavors called Plumeria with gummy bears on the bottom and she really enjoyed it. It’s a very fragrant and fruity combination of flavors. The ice they used is pretty soft but not the softest. My only complaint would be the bees. I hate bees. I thought maybe it was because the syrups they used and it was unavoidable but after going to other shaved ice places and finding no bees presence, I think this place just needs a little more maintenance to keep the bees away. Other than that, great shaved ice!

I have a dream today. A dream that someday, I will show up in Hawaii and actually have the shaved ice, with ice cream, sweet Adzuki beans, whipped cream and … Oops, I’m sorry, that’s the dream. I have to say that my husband and I loved the time we visited. We stumbled upon it on our first morning on the island while looking for a breakfast spot. We woke up so early, that we were desperate for coffee. And… the totally delivered. I have to say that I like the coffee on Maui much better than the coffee on the big island. My coffee came in a timely fashion and I made the mistake of ordering it hot, I didn’t realize they had cold coffee drinks until I saw others ordering iced coffee drinks. They kept the rhythm going and had a good handle on all of the orders. I also thought they were quite professional. I got a multi-visit card because I was convinced that we’d return. but we didn’t. The only reason why we didn’t is because we bought ground coffee and creamer at Whole Foods and made coffee each morning in the hotel. Otherwise, that would have been my morning spot for sure. I just wish they were open past 6 pm. I didn’t get my shaved ice because to eat it before dinner(during the sunset) would have ruined my appetite. I would have loved to have it as a dessert. They have such brisk business that I’m sure it would be a good thing for them.

Average shaved ice and good milkshake, but need to wait at least 10 minutes in hot air

I got tricked by the previous reviews to give this place a try. The shave ice I got is all syrup and not much taste except sweet. I got strawberry and coconut. They first drench the ice with syrup then add the flavors unlike the other place called Lulu’s Shave ice. Waste of my $ 4.

If you’re in Kihei, it’s a nice little spot to check out for some coffee drinks and bagel-y treats. Something light. We were lucky to have some seating open up by the time we got our food… but be aware that you may need to find somewhere to sit. Across the street and down the road a little(heading west) is a nice lawn fronting the beach with shade and some benches. Anyway, nice light breakfast. It was good! The gay Filipino guy there made me chuckle because he immediately knew I was Filipino and started to talk to me in Filipino. I understood a little, enough to understand that he thought that my 16-year old son was«handsome». Earlier he made a comment that we both like«white guys» cause I’m married to a Caucasian. LOL!!! Ok… he was definitely entertaining! :)

This coffee shack on the front corner of the Rainbow Mall packs a lot of aloha into a small space. It has been a regular morning stop when I’m out walking and want a quick cup of coffee. Prices are reasonable, and the coffee is fresh and local. But there’s more. A small breakfast menu, fresh baked goods and shave ice. I haven’t tried the shave ice yet, but can confirm that the breads and muffins are delicious. Service has always been warm and friendly. Outdoor seating is limited, but usually not too crowded. This is more if a walk-up business close to South Kihei beaches, so grab a seat, or walk across the street for some honu spotting at Kamaole 1 beach. All good.

I got a macadamia nut latte and it was very tasty. The service was good, it took a little while to get my latte because they were busy but i didn’t mind the wait. This is a cute little place at the end of the rainbow mall strip mall. They have a small outdoor covered seating area which is clean and inviting. They use monin syrups for the coffee. I noticed they had a bottle of monin symple syrup out next to the pitcher of half and half for your regular coffee. I thought this was really awesome. They also have complementary treats for your furry companions. The little extras show they care and take pride in their business.

This was our morning go-to place and we loved it! Coffee and bagels or the most delicious banana bread. The tsunami will getcha going for sure. P Everyone was super friendly and service was always on point. It wouldn’t be proper if you were in Hawaii and didn’t have shaved ice. Also an excellent choice with or without ice cream.

Amazing shave ice here. I’ve stayed in Kihei on three separate Maui visits years apart, and this place always delivers! The service is great, although they can get busy. Don’t trust the sizes on the wall, they always come out much bigger! :) Banana Cream Pie shave ice ftw!

Absolutely my favorite shave ice place here in Maui and I paid a visit a few times to know that I prefer their shave ice over any other. The shave ice is perfectly flavored without over excess syrup with a generous amount of ice cream and haupia cream. So good with a plentiful selection of flavors to choose from. And they have smoothies and coffee! Hello! The employees who work there are very courteous and have professionalism I have yet to see at their competitors«ULULANIS» who need to come and take a lesson from them-especially the location in Lahaina. I will miss this shave ice shack and wish they expanded in California. I would definitely make a drive to go to this place.

My favorite shave ice on Maui. Get the shark’s blood with vanilla ice cream and the sweet sauce topping. SO. GOOD. Their coffee is also great! I got an iced americano. My sister loved her breakfast sandwich. Also, the servers are so friendly. We literally ran here from the beach one night(we were desperate for our shave ice fix!), and when we arrived 5 minutes after closing, they happily took our order. They even gave us a cup of shave ice with no flavoring so my six-month old nephew could try some :)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Yes, it’s that good! This is the 3rd coffee place I’ve tried this week… We tried the macadamia nut latte and banana bread, hot chocolate and a breakfast sandwich(around $ 20 total) We sat in front and enjoyed ourselves … What a treat! Lots of parking.
