Came here cause my boss gets these burgers regularly. Glad I did! The salad came first and the greens very fresh with a delicious balsamic dressing. Even had these sweet and salty cashews for that the extra special flavor. The burger was really tasty with a coca cola relish that had carmelized onions. No need for any other dressings and just the right size. Those French Fries were really special. I ordered a ¼ lb of them and it was huge. Couldn’t have eaten more. They were super crispy on the outside and soft and hot inside. Better than home fries or thin French fries… just excellent. Service was friendly as can be and fast. Very cheerful and helpful server. My dining experience was fantastic and all for less than $ 11.50 and I am stuffed. I’ll be back for more from there extensive menu of salads, sandwiches, plates, desserts and more. They also serve alcohol if you are so inclined. Don’t miss this place in downtown Wailuku.

Mac-n-cheese was amazing! The grilled poblano pepper I had was great too. The waiter was our cook & cashier, he was really nice. My friend had the 12-hour Beef Brisket, which was okay. They didn’t have much for desserts but I would certainly go back for that Mac!

We flew in from Oahu for the weekend, discovered Main Street Bistro, and it was like coming home to the most delicious, delectable food! Tom Selman is an excellent chef and he made our food so delicious and yes, comforting i.e. comfort food. Husband loved the grilled mahi with fried artichoke in truffle oil. I loved the fettuccine Alfredo with, gasp, amazing crispy pancetta, just like how it’s done in Italy. Rarely if ever is pasta Alfredo done right outside of Italy, and it is done perfect here! Bravo!

Excellent! Mountains of amazing onion rings. The turkey ruben was wonderful. An amazing spice in the white bean soup. White BBQ sauce(on the chicken sandwich) was as unusual as it was delicious. But… Don’t miss the onion rings! There are no calories on Maui, as well we all know. A must«eat at» stop in Wailuku!

We loved this place. Nice mellow atmosphere. Good gourmet food options that came out super fast and made us want more. Awesome prices, too. Might be where we have dinner before our flight back!

Maryland Style Crab Cake is to die for. Food is always excellent as is the service. Hats off to chef/owner, Tom Selman.

I won’t deny that the one time I ate here the food was enjoyable, but the service is less than acceptable, and the second time I came here the chef/owner upset me beyond comprehension. He behaves as though his customers have been bestowed some sort of heavenly gift by being able to sit in his domain. And the responses and tone of voice that he uses during typical exchanges with customers is filled with some sort of ironic contempt. I honestly think that to call him pleasant or kind requires you to be deaf, or to have never experienced the ubiquitous friendliness you usually would in Hawaii in any customer service setting. The second time I came, my mistake was apparently my decision to order a drink. I came with my Hawaii driver’s license, and with my parents for that matter. The license was still valid, but because I had turned 21 less than a year prior to when I went to the restaurant, and because I attend school on the mainland, I was unable to get the«horizontal license» yet. There is no rule that I need to get a horizontal license if my vertical one has yet to expire. The license clearly indicated that I was 21. My parents vouched for me. He absolutely refused to serve me regardless of what other identification I presented, and when I tried to make my case he cut me off at every word and treated me with such disrespect that we left. Regardless of his own personal opinions it is absolutely outrageous that he would treat me with such immature contempt. For what you have to deal with, and regardless of the fact that I now have his highnesses mandated horizontal license, the food can never have the quality necessary to compensate. I’ve been to far better restaurants with chefs and owners who still manage to treat their customers with respect and gratitude for dining with them.

Real friendly place with nice atmosphere. I cleaned the plate on the 12 hour brisket with home made bread. The onion rings quickly were eaten too. Nice place.

Love this place for lunch. I work in the area and rediscovered this gem in Wailuku recently. The servers are very friendly and the food is excellent. The price is exceptional especially for the quality of the meal. The chef likes to use truffle oil and for me that brings the food up a notch. The onion rings are a must try. They are light and portions are huge so a half order for two is more than enough. I haven’t eaten anything that I didn’t like yet.

We found this cute little restaurant and decided to give it a try. The server was really nice and accommodating. The food was really good. Honestly, the best meal I have had in Maui.

Bottom line… Terrible customer service, absolutely no aloha. Unreliable hours with a jerk for a chef. When asking«you close at 6:30 right?» Tom said 6:00″ I reply«oh online said 6:30‽ ” Tom says«don’t believe everything you read on the internet». Funny thing was it was 5:30, this guy looked annoyed that customers walked through his door, and was obviously ready to head home early. I then procede to ask him if he is always a D to his potential customers, I live and work in the area and every attempt to eat here has been met with absolutely no aloha, and varying close times. Save your money for an establishment who treats their customers, and neighbors, with respect, good customer service and common human decency. Let’s all do Tom a favor and give him a reason to go home early.

I’ve been here for lunch twice now and both times I’ve had wonderful experiences. Food that is elegantly prepared/served at great prices. The chef even came out and chatted with our table the first time and he was awesome! Made us some really stiff drinks too :) Only thing I could see being improved upon is the atmosphere. The interior could do for a little refining but honestly I don’t think it matters that much; the food is so fantastic and since he’s not gouging you on prices I don’t mind at all :) Overall, I think it’s one of the best options for dining in Wailuku. Would highly recommend to anyone that finds themselves hungry and in the area.

Horrible, this guy is such a jerk! I have tried giving him multiple chances but he never fails at proving himself to be very rude. First: never open when it says. 5:54 closed on a Friday night!!! Waited until we were seated for 15 minutes before seeing us then telling us he is closed at 7:02! Second: he is miserable, you can taste the bitterness in his food, which brings me to… three: he uses a microwave to reheat already prepared meals. Ex: the ribs & pasta! Four: it’s dirty, the room, the stemware– I mean lipstick on my glass of wine. Not my shade. Five: the water is from the tap, he can’t even be bothered to filter the water bit what do you expect when he uses a microwave! Oh and don’t try to bring in your own filtered water because he won’t let you. Don’t bother with this joint. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Bistro cassanova!

I should call it. Onion Laces. For thats how I felt its fine, velvety texture! Just beware, they give you a heap plateful! Order half only. Its so light, fluffy & delicious, you tend to devour it before your entrée comes. And once you drink water after. It fills your belly! The turkey reuben with caramelized onion satisfied my cravings for a sandwich fête!

Just happened to be driving by and saw this place. And very happy to have stopped and eatin here. Really nice gentleman served and cooked for us. Quesadilla was excellent, beet salad was fresh, and the poblano stuffed pepper was delicious.
