This place is like Mom’s kitchen, and Dad’s living room! Really cool architecture from 1955 in what used to be a state of the art soda fountain for thriving Wailuku town. Michele the barista is the sweet cousin we all wanted, and John is the cool uncle. Really feels like home away from home, and the coffee & pastries are VERY good! The lunches look very great too. A great hang-out place!

What is not to love about this lively warm coffee shop? Friendly owners and staff remembered me my second and each next time. I haven’t been to any of the scheduled evening events, but the quantity and variety sounds amazing — magic, music, community. So far I’ve tried the cold brew coffee, delicious, perfect and an ice matcha latte made with coconut milk(yum, cold, sweet, but not too sweet) Lots of space to plug in and use the free wifi like me, or to play card games(like a fun group of 5 kids who hung out for over an hour) or to noodle on your guitar — like a couple of different guys on different days or to bring your small kid and dog and grab a bite — or to have a business meeting — or catch up with your cousin or to give and receive a guitar lesson. All of these activities seemed to be successfully happening over four visits in the last coupla weeks. O and it is air conditioned, very helpful for these still sticky central Maui summer days.

Initial impression is that this place is eclectic. If you miss the first driveway you end up parking on the street which puts you on the lower floor and might leave you confused because the coffee is upstairs. There is no design to this place which it needs a little bit of, like I said eclectic. The reason I give it so many stars is because when you buy an iced coffee, the ice cubes are coffee cubes. So nice that when our ice cubes melt you get more coffee! The owner was there on our second visit and seemed like a nice fellow. There was a keyboard player and guitarist singing songs on a weekday afternoon. So a good place to kick back and take a break.

This place is great. It’s family owned and operated. The wife is from Nagano, and the place has that great ambiance of a café in azabu-juban or side street off omotesando, with a dose of Maui. There is a great deal of tlc here and it shows. The establishment seems popular with the local community(the REAL local community — not the notoriously ubiquitous timeshare«locals»). There was live music perfectly hitting the subtle key appropriate for a Wednesday morning. The pastries were incredible, as the lattes were almost as good. The staff were extremely pleasant with to chat. At the risk of sounding cliched, it was almost«cheers-like,» if cheers were a Japanese-Hawaiian fusion café and not a bar. I was very happy we stopped by here en route back to the airport. After having made the dubious decision to spend the last several days in Lahaina, this place was welcoming and refreshing.

There’s so much to say about this little coffee house in Wailuku. First off the décor is like going home to your favorite grandma or aunties house. Complete with the comfy couches and vintage chairs and tables, mismatched China tea sets and fresh-through-the door home made baked goodies made by the owner Gwen. The staff is so friendly and fun to talk to. It’s especially nice to come in and see how the owners and staff interact with each other and their customers. If you haven’t tried them before do yourself a favor and stop in, put your feet up, have some coffee, a bite to eat and have a laugh or two with the friendly staff. You won’t regret it!

Aloha! I wasn’t impressed with interior, but this may be just my personal thing. Coffee was ok, but quiet bitter and not that tasty. Barista was very nice, smily person. I dono if I would be back. Mahalo for reading this.

This place makes you feel at home if home was ever a beatiful cottage in the magical forests of paradise. My sea salt latte came beautifully and lovingly presented and the owners made you feel like a long lost family member finally coming back home. There’s a huge TV, board games, and downstairs musical equipment to play with. I wish I could live here.

A cute little spot. Kind of reminded me of «central perk» from friends. It’s literally an interesting living room. They seem to have a pattern of varieties going for them: in the board games, specialty coffees and even the events that takes place at the open space they’ve got going on the first floor of the attic. Food though is a bit over price for the quality. However it is a cute place to just have one on one with friends or a friend.

Ok, place. Just had simple house brew coffee, tasted horrible. Had coffee from Food land this morning, it was million times better. Plus, $ 4+ for large house brew coffee??? I understand it’s Maui but they can’t just rip people off like that… I am no coffee expert but can tell between a good coffee & water down flavorless coffee, this was just simple flavorless coffee. I asked the owner(I believe), about the coffee & asked if they had Kona coffee but was told that McDonald’s have Kona coffee, I dint understand what that meant?

Every time we go there, order the samenthing, it’s different. Not consistent. But they are good enough. Slow process but it’s okay. Prices are great too and that, keeps us going back every week or every other week.

We came in for the 2nd time today. I fell in love with this place the first time I walked in. I love the vintage feel. It feels so homey. I ordered their strawberry lemonade. It was a little too sour for my liking. My boyfriend ordered the milk tea with ice cream and boba. The boba wasn’t cooked through. When you bite into the middle, there was a unpleasant powdery taste. Other than that, the milk tea was very yummy! I think I spoke with the owner today? She was an older Asian lady. I was astonished to find out that they’ve been open since January of last year. Where have we been all this time? She was very pleasant and invited us to stay and watch the magic show, which was going to go on @ 5pm. We wished we could’ve stayed, but we had other errands to do. The only thing that bothered me today was after the cashier took my order, he told one of the other guys, who was sitting down, to make our drinks. If I remembered correctly, the guy replied, «I don’t want to work.» It was very off-putting. Overall, I really love this place. My boyfriend & I will be finding ourselves here very often.

I visited twice during my stay in Maui and I wish I had a place like this back home. The first morning I was here I chatted with the owner for about an hour and had to come back to try the Sea Salt Caramel Latte which I did on my last day on Maui and it was oh so good. This is the most comfortable coffee shop ever. It feels like m chilling at a friend’s place. Hit to sofas or sit at the counter and chat with the staff.

Relic from the past. This place is a cross between a library, vintage shop and café. I got the Triple Layer Thai Coffee. It comes with a small layer of condensed milk. For 50 cents more, I got it iced. The cubes are frozen coffee and when mixed together is a twist on Thai iced coffee! Love! I also ordered the kalua pork quesadilla. It was delicious! Comes with salsa and sour cream. Perfect for two or 1 if you are super hungry! I also tried the lilikoi iced tea. It’s unsweetened with a hint of lilikoi. On the side you may choose your sweetener! Not that bad! Sit down café ambiance. And there’s always chicken outside ready to welcome you! An update: today I got the white pizza! It comes with onion, sliced pieces of garlic and chicken with lots of cheese! If you’re a garlic and onion lover you’ll definitely love this dish. I wish I had se pepper flakes for a good kick. Staff always so friendly.

I came here a few weeks after first hearing about it because of the Monday night Magic show! It starts at 5pm, and the full menu is open, so if you haven’t had dinner, it’s a great reason to come by – magic show and food. I had the margherita flat bread and kalua pork quesadilla, and I had the POG slush. All were amazing! The magic was magical… seriously super talented. The set up is awesome with seats at the bar for watching the magic show. There’s a downstairs where a pianist played for hours(he came up at the end of the magic show). Totally worth going for the food and drinks, and of course, the magic!

Oh this place. It’s so quaint and full of character. I loved it right when I walked through the door. The décor is classic and has that DIY/upcycled theme goin’ on. Comfy couches, lots of natural light and happy, helpful employees. I grabbed myself a cup of chai tea and a white chocolate scone. The barista told me to have a seat and he would bring it out. Minutes later, a hot cup of delicious chai and a warm scone were delivered as promised. Both were so tasty. I can’t wait to try the blueberry next. There is a large area downstairs if you need more room. It’s also available to rent out if needed. If you contact the store, they can tell you more. Coffee attic(or «coffee addict» as I wrote in my planner and realized later) is a nice place to work/chat and get delicious treats. The prices are fair and the vibe is really chill.

I’m a big fan of all things vintage, so this placed had me at «original cash register — sixty years old». Loved it! A friend and I met here recently to catch up and the seating was so cozy that I felt like I was in my living room at home, which is a good thing. The staff were super friendly and on point when it came to great service, even taking our coffee mugs for us without so much as a blink. I’ll be back to work on my laptop sometime, too! Most Saturdays I believe there’s live music, so I hope to attend in the future as well. Thumbs up!!!

LOTS of parking, friendly family run business, best food and coffee of any establishment of this type, reasonable prices, generous portions, upstairs and downstairs, LOADS of places to sit(couches, bar, tables, indoor, outdoor), chill vibe, night entertainment complete with stage, lighting and sound system, crafts, free wifi and outlets, not too noisy. I was a regular at few other coffee places, but this is the only place I go to now. It’s hard to beat.

I love Maui Coffee Attic! Their coffee, snacks, and other beverages are reasonably priced and very tasty.(I’m a big fan of their pizzas and salads!) Plus, if you pay with cash, they don’t charge tax and you have the privilege of being rang up on their old timey cash register.(How nostalgic!) The owners, John and Gwen, are the nicest people you’ll ever meet; some of Gwen’s stories have made me laugh so hard I had stomach pains. Lol! In all seriousness, it’s great to support small local businesses, but it feels even better when you know you’re supporting good people. :)

Best coffee in Wailuku. FIVESTARS!!! One of my friends told me that this coffee shop just opened up in Wailuku. I decided to give it a try and I was blown away with the top quality coffee and service! It’s a family run business that offers tons of hot and cold drinks, treats to eat, a nice lounge area, and super friendly and welcoming staff! Maui Coffee Attic is my go to place for coffee in Maui!
