I went here for breakfast this morning. I was in a rush and we had no breakfast food at home. I must’ve arrived at McDonald’s around 6:15. I had a craving for rice since I hardly eat rice so I decided to get the breakfast platter. I looked at the drive thru menu and it looked like there were only a few options: Portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice or spam, eggs, and rice. I’m not a fan of their Portuguese sausage and I didn’t want spam(I try not to eat so much processed food). I decided to try my luck to see if they could fulfill my order. I told them I would like a platter but not with Portuguese sausage or spam. I told them that I wanted to substitute ham instead. They had no problem doing that. They put in 2 Canadian bacon instead. It was a good meal and I’m glad they were able to fulfill my request. I didn’t know you could customize your order like that.

Been waiting for 15 minutes for my spam and eggs, really? Breakfast all morning is great if you can hurry the hell up. Such bad service, one cashier to take the order, a lot of people standing around yet my food is not coming

Sad to say, but yes, my little girls and I frequent McDonald’s because it’s convenient and they just love it. We don’t frequent this one particularly as much as we used to since the newer Ewa restaurant recently opened up with it’s own Play Place. Just stopped by there on our way home from a dance lesson this afternoon. The cashier, Nica, seemed to be okay. Not your usual pleasant and humble employee, but alright. The transaction seemed to be going okay until the end when I asked for the coupon for a complimentary 10-pc McNugget that comes with a purchase of a $ 25 giftcard which I had just bought. She misunderstood and rang me up asking for the amount she had just tendered as payment. I tell her calmly and nicely, pointing to the advertisement on the front of her register, that I was referring to said promotional offer. She still doesn’t understand and looks at me with that unsure look, but asks for payment again. I tell her again. This time another customer assists with clarifying what is meant and tells her the same thing. She looks at him, calls for a manager and steps aside jumping on the next register to help another customer as soon as the manager arrives, but without apologizing for the miscommunication, which mind you, took place on her end. She argues a little with her manager, defending herself, saying she wasn’t aware of the promotion. Again, no apology or gesture of such. Fact: It is her responsibility to know what promotions are currently being offered, and if she doesn’t, she needs to be apologetic for not knowing and misunderstanding a situation resulting from her lack of knowledge or awareness. Fast forward to a few minutes later when I re-enter her line to make another purchase as there was no one else at the counter but her. At this point, she is even less pleasant and receptive. She has a smirk on her face and a tell-all attitude while taking my order the second time. Once again, there is miscommunication and this time I do not give her any chances. I tell her straight out that she could be friendlier, wear a smile on her face when she greets customers, and really listen to what is being said, as once again she is not understanding the order or requests I am giving her and asking of her. She blows up. She takes defense about how she does understand, but that I’m «not supposed to do that.» She says, «what you just did. You not supposed to do that.» Do what? What did I do exactly? Wait patiently for what I was due? Attempt to make her understand… all the while staying calm? Yup, so I totally lose it and am VERY upset at this point, but just mildly raising my voice, talking sternly to her, asking her what she meant, and pointing out the facts. Her manager who assisted me earlier returns and excuses her, but she is resistant. Nica wants to stay and cobtinue to argue! Omg and smh. I have NEVER had that kind of service or treatment, even when there has been miscommuniction or wrong orders given to me or my family, at any McDonald’s. Nica was out of line. Period. She needs a good reprimand and disciplinary action. Props to her manager who was professional, understanding, very helpful, and genuinely apologetic the whole time for defusing the situation and smoothing things out with me before I left. Will Nica get reprimanded for her actions? Unlikely or very lightly. Her manager is too nice. Hence, this review… Could’ve easily just given 1 star, but the manager’s handling of the situation earned them another star.

Wait time in their drive thru is hit or miss. My order is usually always accurate though. It’s the closest Mickey’s to me so gonna have to deal with the long drive thru wait times.

Typical McDonalds. You’ll have the elderly enjoying the music and coffee in the morning. The kids go in afterschool and make a lot of noise. And even the homeless people come in and ask for watercups and just chill inside w/the AC.

So overall this McDonald is pretty decent food came in a timely manner lobby looked clean and the workers seemed okay to me. I just think that if there’s another costumer in line that they should have another cashier open up because I was waiting to be helped not like it’s a big deal, but having 5 employees stand around staring at you while a «trainee» is helping another guest and not bothering to help them but all just stare or have conversations while another worker is busy is just rude.

I’m waiting for my car to get fixed… this was the only decent place to get coffee… normally I don’t eat at McDonald’s. So my star rating is only based on the customer service & environment. It was full of all the local senior citizens, hanging out & having happy conversations & enjoying their b’fast. Everyone’s joyful attitude rubbed off on me. It was just a great, comfortable place to enjoy coffee & lounge while waiting for car to be serviced. I have a 7yr step son who luvs McDonald toys. I picked him 3 of the Ninja Turtle toys & one Sweetheart push toy. The employee went out of her way to double check in the back for the plush toy I wanted. THANKS!

I go here all the time. Today they got my order wrong. I ordered a grilled sweet chili chicken McWrap. They ended up giving me a double filet o fish. I went back to the drive through to get my order and what they gave me was a freaking soggy sweet chili McWrap that has been sitting. The wrap was so soggy that it was falling apart and spilling out everywhere. I wanted to go back so they can give me a freshly made one but I didn’t want them to waste any more of my time. By the time I got to the last couple bites it was so soggy I couldn’t finish it; I had to spit it out because it was so gross. By the time my daughter was able to eat, she was so hungry that she gobbled her meal so fast. Thanks for wasting 40 minutes of a mother’s life.

Why is there a limited time period for breakfast menu and others. We were told that lunch menu is only served after 1030a. WHY? All yr competitors provide all menu items ALLDAY. Inconvenience and behind the times. Also food quality is better at others anyway.

Moving back to Hawaii I told myself I would indulge in all the local foods I grew up on and stay away from chains I know I can eat in the mainland. But let’s face it sometimes we are in a crunch for time and these fast food places are really quick fixes. When I didn’t prep my morning oatmeal the night before I usually try to grab breakfast somewhere. When I’m pressed for time I come this location since it’s not too far from home and allows me to easily get on H1 or go straight to Kunia. The restaurant is clean, modernized, one of the few with a playground still intact. It can get busy at times but the staff keeps it flowing and somehow finds a way to keep it clean. Plus this particular location and I have a long history but that’s another story. Like I mentioned I usually go for breakfast if anything. McDonalds Coffee is actually pretty good. I go for iced coffee with hazelnut. It comes out just right and not overly sweet. The McCafe line is pretty legit and is my choice of coffee if I don’t have the time to relax in a coffee shop.

I come here often because of its convenient location but the service here is dismal. First of all it seems like ALL the employees are ESL… don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that except That I Have no idea what in the world they are saying to me… And they ALWAYS seem to be having a crisis in the store that is clearly more important than the drive through… I must say that they have beautiful landscaping and I really appreciate that view while I wait in the line for my morning water with some oatmeal… My tip: ALWAYS ask for light water in your oatmeal!

I enjoy this one because it has a playground. Abira likes to go there :) Aside from that, this is a relatively busy but slow moving McDonald’s. I waited 5 minutes for a soda… and at that point, other people who ordered AFTER me got their food ANDDRINK before I did.

I’ve come here around 100 times in the past few months and most of the time it was was packed. The service is slow and even for a McDonald the quality isn’t very good. Every time I order an ice cream from this McDonalds it’s REALLY small! Worst McDonalds for ice cream for sure!

I’m not a fan of fast food, but Sat. I dragged my kid on errands through town. During a meltdown of nightmarish proportions(hers…not mine) I had to promise playground when we were done. I ordered. Then, trying to get back my usual goofy composure after a stressful afternoon, I asked if I could change my diet coke order to a jack and coke.(and I NEVER drink!!!) The female counter person did not know what that was. So I asked the male employee next to her, and he didn’t know what it was either, but they both had HUGE happy faces anyway. My kid did not want to eat, just fixated on that playground, and I knew I was not going to be able get her out. I asked the playground attendant what time it closed, hoping she would say«sundown.» Nope…9! Dammit! My kid would be there 24 hours if anyone would allow it. Now how am I gonna get this kid to leave? «Few more minutes» wouldn’t help, and neither did signing«one more, all done.» Kid deliberately stayed on the top of the habitrail, knowing that if she came down the tube, we would leave. The nice playground attendant, who looked to me like she was LESS than 100 lbs., offered to get my kid down. Like one of the kids, she effortlessly and confidently went up the multiple platforms(I guess you need to be A) young, B) LESS than 100 lbs., and C) not afraid of heights) like some kind of olympic gymnast, disappeared into the habitrail and eventually emerged from the tube with my kid. This above and beyond service earned this 5-star rating. Yeah, there were the smiley counter people, but this awesome employee tending to the playground on the evening of sat. 8⁄3REALLY helped me out.

I don’t understand why this location is SOBUSY! It always takes forever no matter where you go. Double drive through pakced, walk up ordering packed. Loud, hard to find a seat, crowded. BOOOOO! Sometimes I think I’ll save time because I’m in Waipahu and need to pick up some filet o fishes for my dad, but to be honest I could drive to Waikele or Kapolei and make up for the drive time with faster service. I guess I don’t learn my lesson because I still end up coming here thinking«Maybe this time will be different».

I gotta say that this McDonald’s always gets my orders right! – I LOVE onions. Being that I’ve worked at a McDonald’s before, I know that there are 3 different types that they use. Dehydrated, slivered, and red onion. I’m very picky when it comes to my onions and I will make a big fuss if my order is wrong. I don’t really care for the dehydrated onions so I always ask to either replace it with the others, Or if it doesn’t come with onions I ask them to add it on. They’ve been pretty good at it so far!(crosses fingers) The drive thru line don’t get too long, but sometimes it just moves really slow. The workers here are always friendly. They often tend to forget some condiments such as ketchup, napkins, straws. But no biggie. Luckily we have extras at home! :) This location has a playground. Not many others have them. It’s a nice little gated and secured area for the little one to run and play. Good to let them burn all their energy while you enjoy your meal!(:

Awww. the only few places that still have the playground. Yes every-time I see this place it makes me want to just jump into the pool of balls with all the other little kids, but I know there is an age limit! Just wished I could do that again, someday… But besides the incredible playground for the kids this is the best McDonald’s Restaurant on Oahu. I say that because it is the cleanest I’ve seen a chain of McDonald’s Restaurant and the service is outstanding. The layout of the place is so spacious and although it gets busy, it doesn’t feel so claustrophobic. There is no weird smell that lingers and the soda fountain is clean and free of any spilled soda residue. If you have little kids to watch and can’t seem to wear them out of energy, I always bring my niece and nephews here. I bring them outside to eat there happy meals on the tables and let them watch all the other kids playing. I bribe them to eat all there food before they can even put on there socks. Yes SOCKS, you need them to play in the jungle maze. If you don’t have any with you, they sell socks. There is usually an attendant at the shoe storage selling socks and keeping an eye out on the kids.
