Came here for blinds, ordered custom ones that were cut incorrectly. Luckily, LOWES did allow us to return them, however we had to drive 1hr to the original store the order was placed from. After we had returned the blinds, we found a woman in the blinds dept to help us. Instead of helping, she lectured us that we were the reasons our blinds were cut wrong, and that they could not have messed up. She refused to sell us new blinds and was very rude!

Home Depot has just about everything I could need for the projects I have to do at home. The only thing it’s missing is instructions on how I should do everything without ever bungling it or making it worse. Good prices and helpful staff. Overall though it’s always only as good as he person working the area when you need help.

They don’t care about their customers. Went in to buy a door and no one was able to assist. Had to come back next day to get assistance. After purchasing the door I had to wait 2 days to buy, it has been a whole week and no one has contacted me about installing it at my house after I paid for the installation. Seriously rediculous. Now I have to get in my car and go back to the same store just to get my door installed that I already paid for a week ago. How convenient. Zero stars.

I like the people in the paint department. They are friendly and helpful. The staff and cashiers are nice and most of them speak and ask if I need help which I appreciate because I usually do need help. The people at Lowes hardly ever speak; it’s like they assume I must be just looking for my husband, lol.

Upon receiving a letter from my HOA that my shutters were too faded and needed to be replaced, I started checking around, pricing shutters and taking measurements with me. As it turns out the only place that had the exact color and dimensions was Home Depot — aka«The Orange Borg» and I was immediately assimilated. Being that I’ve had a few years experience installing this kind of shutter, I opted to not let their contractor install them for me. I’d be doing it myself. I was in a time crunch though, so I needed the shutters within a certain window(no pun intended) of time to avoid being fined $ 100/day by my HOA for non compliance with their directive. They said they could do it so I placed the order. It took about 10 days for the shutter order to be drop shipped at my home. The following weekend, I had new shutters up on my house. If you want to find the one mistake in the installation(because I had inexperienced help on the ground with the install), you’ll have to drive up to my house and play a game of «Where’s Waldo» Now I know where the homebuilder bought their shutters from… go figure.

Horrible service in appliances. Went in to buy a fridge… needed it same day, quick sale. No one ever asked if we needed help. Finally saw a lady at the counter and asked her if she could help us. She was so put out to have to walk to our fridge of choice. We told her we had just bought a house and needed a fridge ASAP. She told us us nothing could be delivered for 4 – 5 days. We then asked if she could check in the computer our model or even find us a quicker options, she said nothing until Saturday… it was Tuesday! We then went to the manager on duty… he said…“I will talk to her…” We left without a fridge and our mouths dropped open! Lowes was much better… don’t bother with his location.

Terrible customer service. Bought new dishwasher here and although they advertise they will take the old one away, that only applies if you already have it disconnected and pulled out of the enclosure. They came to install and said they wouldn’t un-install the old one. Had to pay someone to come take out the old one, and have HD come back out for the install. Then they said they wouldn’t install because the dishwasher is setup on a separate breaker. Once again paid someone to install the new dishwasher. 8 months later, the dishwasher stops working. Since it is still under the warranty, we call to have someone come out to repair. They only schedule appts in 8 hour time slots, so I had to stay home from work all day. The technician calls and asks what is going on with the dishwasher as he may need a part for it, which he doesn’t have in his truck. Nice to know after I have taken off all day! Asked him to come take a look at it to determine what was wrong and he never showed up. Call the company phone number and they relay to me that the repair tech said he knocked on door and no one answered. That was a lie, because he never showed up. Do not buy appliances here.

I think Home Depot has the worst customer service. I was shopping for a washer and dryer and talking with one associate. He quoted me a price for the appliances. I told him that I was waiting for my husband to get there and we would be purchasing the washer and dryer. The associate told me to have him called when my husband gets there. My husband arrived ten minutes later. I went to have the associate paged. A new associate arrived and told me that he would be helping me. The other associate when to lunch. I told him what machine I wanted to purchase and told him the price I was quoted. This associate told me I was crazy. There was no way I was quoted that price. He told me that I was wrong and that I was not told that price. I explained to him that it was indeed the price I was quoted 10 minutes ago. I told him that if he could not do that price then he should go get a manager because I would like to speak with him. I was told that the manager was too busy to come talk to me about appliances and that I could either buy them at the price he told me or not buy them at all. I had enough. I left and called the manager on the phone and told him the situation and he asked me to come back. I told him he was too late and I took myself across the street and went to Lowes. Save yourself a headache and just go to Lowes. They actually care about their customers.

Usually not a big fan of the Home Depot, as I find their crew to have less knowledge than the people in the blue uniforms across Capital Blvd. However, its in the Target parking lot and it was easier to get to, so I swung on in to give it a shot. On a mission looking for(what I did not know at the time was called) a drip apron for my shower door. Striking a path to the back of the store, looking for the sign reading«Showers & Tubs» we are met by a fellow in an orange apron asking us if we needed any help.(Thinking to myself, he will not be of any assistance, I decide to give him a shot and say —) Yes, we are looking for this plastic thingy that runs along the bottom of our shower door to keep the water in(making hand motions in sizing up the door etc.). He stares blankly and looks down at the floor. Long uncomfortable pause, and he smiles. He says lady, I know exactly what you are talking about, and I don’t have ‘em! He said you are about the 4323rd person looking for that and I can not keep it in stock. He explains its called a DRIPAPRON. He says he does not know where we can get one, but then later recommends a building supply company off Atlantic Ave. He takes us back to show us where they normally keep them on the shelf(when they have them in stock), but he says he can not get them from the manufacturer. He was extremely friendly and informative. Excellent work Home Depot! Go Orange!
