This place is by far the best breakfast place in the area. The food is always so good no matter what you order. My boyfriend and I come here all the time and the service is always good, food is always good, and it’s not expensive at all. Best part is its BYOB.

I had the best breakfast today. The huevos rancheros I ordered was amazing. My husband enjoyed the corned beef hash too. We’ll be back very, very soon — maybe tomorrow morning.

I absolutely love this place! It’s got such an amazing friendly atmosphere, the food is consistently delicious, and the waitstaff is always exuberant and cheerful and seem to really love their jobs. The food and prices are a reason to keep coming back, but it’s the waitresses that seal the deal. There’s this one waitress who treats everybody like they’re her best friend and completely redefines«customer service». I highly recommend the Blue Bird Café!!

Bluebird Café is tucked away in a little shopping center off of Kingstown Road in Wakefield. My family and I have been here a few times and it’s a really nice breakfast joint. They have a good selection of items and it’s very reasonably priced. The service is always quick and friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing food. Having lived in Boston and New York my standards for a good breakfast have been raised to unreasonable levels and Blue Bird more than meets them. The inside of the café is underwhelming but the food is phenomenal. I go for the verduras rancheras. The buckwheat pancakes are also delicious. The daily special muffin(grilled, always get it grilled, is a winner).

Well they said 25 minutes but they didn’t say they’d skip us for other groups to be seated. The wait was more like 35 because we got bumped yet we never left the area. I’m sorry we’re not regulars, but we’re still customers.

So glad I found this place on Unilocal when we were staying in Narragansett. Great breakfast: huevos rancheros were a hit with the husband, Belgian waffle loved by the daughter, and I had an omelette loaded with grilled onion, spinach and tomato… yum! Home fries were the real deal, perfectly cooked and delicious not some deep fried pieces like at other places. Service was excellent and friendly; just an enjoyable meal!

This place is great. If you have been to the south you will see the influence in the food. While not the same as food from Louisiana and other southern states, for RI it is pretty damn tasty for what it is. The people who work here are great too.

I’m going to break character for a second here, and just totally let loose about how amazing this restaurant it. The Bluebird is an absolute gem, and I will sing their praises to the rafters or anyone else who cares to listen. Our food(a couple of the Friday night dinner specials) was amazing, the service was friendly in a genuine way, and the prices cannot be beat! In particular I was amazed by the fact that my crawfish piquante was actually pretty spicy! In the West Bay! Who KNEW?!? It is clear that the people running this place care about both their food, and the community they serve it to. I can’t wait to become a regular and I hope the rest of you will join me in working to make the business owners wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice.

Holly cow bells Batman. What a great little place. So there is a just something special about cooking with a Cajun influence. God loves a good Coon Ass cook. And no, that was not a degrading remark. So what did Big Bob eat. A little bit of everything. 1) Corned Beef hash. This is not typical RI Hash, this is just a bit different. So if you love CB-Hash, go in with an open mind and you will be rewarded. 2) Biscuit. I know, ‘it is just a biscuit’ you are saying to yourself. Nope. I love being in RI and NE, but biscuits are not in your culinary wheelhouse. This one on the other hand is. And on Sundays, they do Biscuits and Gravy. The clouds part and the angels sing. 3) Grits. In the case Cheese and Jalapeño grits. Finally. And no, grits are not in the New England wheelhouse either. These were fantastic. So what I am saying here is if you are looking to do something different and put a little south in your mouth as Paula would say, you should head on over. I also say Jambalaya as well as étouffée. I believe it was crab étouffée and not crawfish étouffée, which I would prefer. Anyway, I believe this is going to require several trips. Oh, might I add that the service was fantastic. The place was well laid out. It is in the back of a strip mall, but that is okay.

The Bluebird Café is a quaint, family-owned restaurant that specializes in mainly breakfast items. A group of us were very hungry on a Saturday morning after a long night of activity and craved good breakfast foods. We walked in and the place was quite busy. We were seated right away, however, and the server took care of us almost immediately. I ordered a build your own omelet, which consisted of three fresh eggs, served with toast or a biscuit, and my choice of home fries, yellow grits, or black beans. I’d highly recommend the biscuits and home fries. You are able to pick your ingredients – ingredients included grilled onions, mushrooms, feta cheese, Swiss cheese, jalapenos, chicken, ham, tomatoes, sausage, chilies, spinach, bacon, and more. It’s completely up to you! All of this for only $ 6. We also drank coffee, milk, and orange juice. All toast is served buttered, so if you don’t want butter, you must request it without. Bluebird was exactly what I needed.
