The best breakfast I have had in a long time. Eggs cooked just perfect. Flavorful food. Staff friendly, fast, on the spot, & courteous.

Pumpkin pancakes were good but the apple pancakes were amazing. Tasted just like a slice of apple pie. Big serving sizes and friendly staff. Home taters were a little greasy but had good taste In town visiting friends and was a great spot for brunch.

Been going here for years and can say I have never been disappointed! The wait staff are always friendly and welcoming to guests! If you’re looking for comfort food then this is the place! Home fries are absolutely amazing and the butterscotch pancakes are my absolute favorite! I will continue to visit whenever I’m in the area, definitely two thumbs up

I’m giving this place 5 stars because of our waitress. She was so unbelievably sweet. I came here on the fourth of July and me and my 6 other friends are all from out of town. We had bad luck with the other place that we tried to go to and the morning was starting to get frustrating so we tried this place and got taken care of very well. The food was decent. Typical diner food, you can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely come back when I’m I’m town.

The staff is very friendly and always serves you with a smile. They’re on top of their tables with the refills. Food is good and if you have kids order them the M&M pancakes.

The Nook added shredded hash browns to the menu! Had a great breakfast today with eggs benedict and M&M silver dollar pancakes.

First off, the staff were EXTREMELY attentive. I was never wanting of coffee nor did I sit waiting for what seemed like forever once I was ready to order. Our server was very cheery and didn’t seem at all put off over questions I asked. I had the waffle with banana and while it wasn’t the best waffle I had ever eaten it was good(way better than Denny’s sad excuse for a waffle) and it was topped with a massive amount of banana(just how I like it). The coffee was also good though Im not a fan of the only sweetner option being Sweet and Low. I know its the cheapest(compared to Splenda, Equal, etc.) but it tastes horrible. My biggest complaint was the ridiculous price for the fruit bowl. Five dollars for a small bowl of banana and strawberries is a little steep. This place has a cute diner feel and overall I was very happy.

Went at 1:30 on a Thursday– place was full. Waited 20 mins for table, 10 mins to order, 40 mins for food to come; orders came separately. «Hash browns» are really just french fries in chunks. Greasy, no-good food. Nice server. I will never go here again.

I saw a previous review describe this place as «quick, clean, and inexpensive» and I believe that’s the perfect way to sum it up. It’s the ideal hangover diner breakfast and it’s just how you’d imagine a small-town diner to be. The staff is hilarious, bubbly, and full of life. Our waitress was very sweet and still smiled at my roommates and I even before we had our morning coffee. They serve hot or iced coffee and have an extensive menu. It’s perfect for all ages and the décor is just how you would imagine it to be. They decorate for every holiday(adorbs) and serve their delicious diner food on old fashioned diner plates. The local crowd is definitely not the youngest, but they’re still a hoot(yes, I said hoot). Their typical eggs, bacon, sausage, and homefries is my go-to every time.

This place is a cozy little spot. We went on a Sunday and luckily beat the lunch/brunch rush. We had our three children with us and only had a to wait a about 5 – 10 minutes which wasn’t too bad. Breakfast on the other hand took entirely too long to get to us, with three young children 30 minutes is just too long to have to wait for food to come out. We were very lucky it was loud in there and our kids were very very well behaved that morning. Service was absolutely wonderful, our waitress was sweet apologetic and made the experience of waiting much better. I did have a problem with the«french toast sticks» being deep fried. I didn’t want my kids to have deep fried food for breakfast and if I would have known I certainly would have made another choice for them, they should really note that on the menu. Aside from the deep fried«french toast sticks» all the food was very good. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area.

The service was excellent. The food was exactly what you would expect from a «greasy spoon.» It was quick, clean, and inexpensive. For what it is, worth a stop.

My first trip to the breakfast nook was an extremely good experience. I was vacationing in the area and someone suggested trying them out. Everything on the menu looked so appetizing but it was the drool-worthy selection on the daily specials board that made it hard to narrow down my decision. Our waitress, Carol, was literally the sweetest woman in the world. She was so friendly and personable, and made us laugh quite a few times! She suggested the banana bread French toast and recommended ordering chocolate chips on top. They were PERFECT. Moist warm banana bread with slightly melted chocolate chips on top. I have no other words! My second time a few months later while in the area again was just as amazing. Upon entering my girlfriend and I had agreed we were going to request for Carol, only to be met with surprise that she was in fact our waitress! She is the best. We got the home fry omelette with bacon and cheese. It was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend trying it! We also ordered the banana and walnut pancakes off of the daily special board. They were amazing, the perfect pancake. This place is great not only for the awesome food but also for the great friendly service and people like Carol who truly care about the customer experience and keep us coming back every time!

I have to agree with the reviews regarding service. The wait staff were great and attentive. I received coffee even before I sat down. The downside, the food was mediocre at best. The home fries felt like they came out of a frozen bag, the Benedict with asparagus was made with a gravy like, lumpy hollandaise sauce and canned asparagus. The corn flakes on the«crunchy French toast» were stale and rubbery, the waffle was decent, but nothing to write home to mom to. Very disappointing considering the service.

The hospitality is great here. On a saturday morning it is a warm and cozy. All the ladies call you honey and sweet pea. Lol the food is good ol down home cooking. Wait, i just heard one of the ladies call someone babydoll. They have there regulars they tease and have conversations with. It is overall a great place to dine. Oh before i forget, the first time i came to RI was late december my 3 yr old son and i strolled in and ordered takeout. I talked with the waitress about being new here due to me being in the Navy. And when my food came she said it was on the house and merry xmas. That really touched my heart. So they will always get my business. Check them out!

The wait staff is superb. Friendly, on point, no attitude. Even hooked us up with an extra omelette. The drawback? Everything is just sorta laid in grease on top of grease. I know diner food isn’t exactly known to be healthy, but they could be less generous with the artery cloggers.

This place has such a traditional diner feel. You enter and feel as though you have been transported to the past. It is self seating and the prices are totally reasonable. Egg, home fries, and toast for $ 3.95. They have a specials board with great selections to choose from everyday. This place is with a visit! Also, they have Gluten free options!!! How great is that???

There are many many many diners in New England. Very few rise above the depths of frozen crap served from a fifty page menu with obligatory Greek nonsense. Breakfast Nook II, on the other hand, stands out. When one is summering in Rhode Island, certainly check this place out. Friendly waitstaff and good food and coffee. The lobster benny was utterly charming without a hint of coyness or attitude. Great place to recharge for a new day in the surf.
