ChopHouse Grille

Wonderful ambience. Give in and order the Filet, it is cooked to perfection! The bartender sure knows how to pour a beer, and carries a good cross section. If the lobster cheesecake is offered as an appetizer, don’t think twice, grab it while it lasts! This is my new Saturday night favorite place. See you there.

Have been 2x and the most recent I lingered over dinner, dessert and coffee for 2 ½ hours. It was a Monday night so not a lot of people felt like we were the only ones there even though that was not the case. The filet was great but the buffalo chicken and calamari appetizers stole the show. Will definitely be back!

Place is really cute with a nice vibe. However, there’s a but… I went on Valentine’s Day and I’ve given it a couple days to sink in. I have worked as a server for the last decade and hate when people use this to vent but I’m hoping it’s more or less constructive. the service was so so bad. Antonia was our server and she was pleasant but clearly uninterested in being at work. Our appetizers came out and we still hadn’t ordered our meals or been asked if we had decided. Then she didn’t check to see how we were enjoying until my boyfriend had finished the calamari (I didn’t eat it because it was pretty rubbery) and I sat with melting ice under my un touched oysters because I was waiting for her to get me horse radish for it. She brought back the horseradish but still didn’t take our order. A manager came over and refilled our drinks and cleared the oysters and we finally order entrees an hour after we were sat. Entrees came out but nobody ever checked on how we liked them and the manager had to ask a busser to clear our table. I get what it’s like to be a server and you get weeded but she wasn’t busy and 99% of the time she was standing 15 feet from our table gabbing with the other servers. She was pleasant but phony when she brought the check and I’m sure she could probably tell we were annoyed. Overall food was OK but not enough to overcome the lack of service.

3.5 stars. Very nice bar and seating area’s. attentive staff. decent menu. On a recent Saturday night we had a delicious dinner.

Pretty good. Took my mother here for her birthday. Service by the adult waitress was excellent to say the least. Food was ok, calamari app. Just ok. Wedge salad just ok. Steaks just ok. Very, very loud. If I am paying $ 32 for a steak I do not want to be looking at a TV with a URI game on it. Just me. Wine was excellent. Like an upscale Ponderosa with a transient college waitstaff.

Ok so I usually stroll into Spain of Narragansett on Friday nights and figured today I would break up the routine by heading to the Chophouse Grille. I am glad I did. There was one open seat at the bar and I found my way to it. The bartender introduced himself immediately and it got better from there. The 8 oz Filet is what I ordered and I asked for it medium. When it arrived everyone around me was fascinated by it as it was set down in front of me with ohs and ahs. Let me preface this by saying I would generally order fish when I go out, but this filet was unbelievable. It was probably cooked closer to medium rare than medium and I am glad as it was perfect. Seriously, it made me want to write this review. I was almost angry as I knew this meal was going to change my Friday night routine. I even bought a gift certificate while I was there as I wanted my sister and brother in law to enjoy this meal when they visit for a week in August… yes, 6 months from now. I see the reviews here saying to not miss out on the bread, but I admit I passed as I didn’t want to be a party of one tearing through a bread plate. If you go here and get the filet, you will enjoy it… a huge fan of fish did! See you next Friday.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I had a filet that was perfectly prepared and delicious. The sides were excellent and beautifully presented. I also had the lox appetizer. The lox is prepared in house. The waiter was well informed regarding the new menu and provide a number of good tips.

Amazing short ribs! Perfectly cooked stuffed haddock! Wonderful bread pudding! Service was great and everything was cooked and seasoned well. Love this place! Picked it randomly and an more than pleased :)

Took my son for his 19^th Birthday. We were seated immediately on a Saturday evening around 830 pm. The waitress Juliana, was very cheerful and named off the specials.
We shared the Buffalo calamari because we’d read the reviews. Nice and tender. We both ordered rib eye which came with baked potato and bacon wrapped asparagus. Everything was delicious. I also asked for a side of Bernaise which was very good. My daughter had the chicken parm with pink Vodka sauce and she said it was great. The chocolate cake was shared and it was very good. Overall a great evening.

Me and a large group of people went here for my birthday the other night and it was very good! We ordered a variety of things off the menu and I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed there meal. Me and 2 friends ordered the buffalo calamari to start which was beyond amazing. I would go back just for that. It was the perfect size to split between the 3 of us. Then I ordered the burger which was also pretty good. The one complaint I would have is that I asked for it medium and it was 100% well done. I guess I can’t complain because it was a large party and that was the worst thing that happened. If I went back with a smaller party and it happened I would bring something up. One of my friends ordered the chicken sandwich and was in love. A few others ordered the penne ala vodka and loved it as well.
The prices range from low to high so there is something for everyone. I definitely recommend it for just about any occasion and I will be back!

ChopHouse Grille has the potential to be an awesome restaurant … but unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere that made me excited to try the food … and the menu was full of great choices. Unfortunately, the service was really slow and our orders came out incorrectly and well, the food was nothing to rave about. I don’t think we we will be returning.

The steak was great but the rest was just medocre for the price. Calamari was very oily. Pasta dish was not very flavorful.

We last minute booked a reservation for eight adults and two kids. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Got us in at the time we wanted so the kids would be chill.
The menu has some curve balls outside of the normal steakhouse style items but everything was great.
I grabbed the New England clam chowder and it disappeared quicker than expected. So tasty.
The buffalo calamari was unexpected and delicious as well. Not the traditional crispy like you’d expect from calamari but more like a buffalo hot wing. Their grilled sausage and beans were also prepared very well.
Jimmy was incredibly friendly and approachable. Attentive to our large group and the kids needs too. Charlie should give that guy a day off!
All in all we had a really good time and enjoyed all of it.

We have were quite surprised what a nice restaurant this turned out to be. In the middle of Wakefield RI, the location is fairly ordinary.
I had a French dip sandwich. It was good sized and was the roast beef was very tender. Unlike many other French dips, the su jus was not overly salty.
My wife had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. Delicious and a lot of lobster. Brie cheese. What can go wrong.

Was here Tuesday night for dinner and it was quite good. There were quite a few people here for a Tuesday night so I’m guessing my experience was one that others must have.
I got the legendary buffalo tenders, and while they were good, I think they were just ok. Then I had the chophouse cheesesteak and it was quite tasty. It’s a good joint for dinner and I’ll probably come back next time I’m in the area.

Chophouse was fantastic! We had Jimmy as our waiter and he was the best! Really personable and great service. The food here was unbelievable! I had the NY strip steak which came with lyonnaise potatoes, and it was actually one of the best if not the best steak I’ve ever had, and that’s comparing them to steakhouses in NYC. Others in my family had the prime rib, which was a huge 16oz hunk of incredibly tasty meat. My girlfriend is a vegeterian and she had the pad Thai with tofu and she loved it! She said the tofu was cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the 4 layer chocolate cake, which was the biggest slice of cake I’ve ever seen, and man was it good!
I definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you’re in the area! It’s amazing!

Decided last minute to try ChopHouse Grille on Friday night. I called at 4pm and was surprisingly able to get a reservation for 12 people for 6:15pm. When we got there I could see why. the place is huge. Very modern looking, with TVs everywhere and two bars. The «legendary buffalo chicken tenders» were quite legendary, definitely would get them again. The bread was hot and made me too full for my meal. Our group got a variety of stuff including steak and cheese grinder, hot lobster rolls, salmon, rib eye, surf and turf and the Delmonico steak special. Everyone really liked their meals except for the salmon. The hot lobster rolls were the big hit. Definitely a good place to checkout.

This place is a solid four stars. The calamari was excellent, the steaks were good. The asparagus side was delish. Service was good as were the drinks. We were able to make our reservations through the opentable app 15 minutes before we arrived, which I absolutely love.
The décor is really nice, I enjoyed the layout and the overlook view of the bar from our table.
This place is worth a visit if you’re in the area and will certainly go back again.

I’ll tell you all you need to know about ChopHouse Grille in one sentence: Happy Hour is from 4:00 to 5:30 every day and the apps are DELICIOUS.
Okay, I guess I’ll write more about my experience at ChopHouse… Their steak and cheese is delicious and their filet mignon is very good. Their béarnaise sauce is alright, but goes good with the filet. My advice to you is that if your server asks if you want bread, the answer should always be «yes». They have warm bread with cinnamon butter. The edamame app is good and VERY flavorful. If you like edamame with a little extra yum to it (aka not plain Jane with just salt), you’ll love it. The prices are a little steep, but for some of the dishes, it’s worth it. That’s probably why I’m a big fan of their happy hour.
The service is great. I don’t think I’ve ever come to ChopHouse and had a bad serving experience. All of the staff (from the bartenders to hostesses to waitstaff) are very attentive. At the entrance they have Andes mints, which you can’t go wrong with.
Here’s the low-​down on the happy hour. It’s from 4:00 to 5:30 (as stated above), but you can still get the delicious apps after 5:30 if you ask. The apps include prices from $ 3-​$ 5 and I believe there is a discount on drafts as well. The appetizers are finger foods such as loaded tatertots (with melted cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and chives), the most amazing buffalo tenders I’ve ever had, nachos, mozzarella sticks, and I think a few other delicious treats. It’s worth all of the nasty calories and the bartenders are fun.
I’ll keep coming back to ChopHouse for the happy hour and beyond!

WARNING– — this review is based only on the mojito I consumed at a recent 80^th birthday party for my grandma.
THIS WAS THE BEST MOJITO I HAVE EVER HAD!
We went there only for the event, there was a light spread and some drinks. I was very impressed across the board. Will be back for a full meal!
