The Sicilian pizza is fantastic! I also have gotten there meatball sub which is a good size but I mostly go for the Sicilian it calls to me!

Best sicilian pizza north of boston. zaza sauce is good, but its more along the lines of a bruschetta topping in case you are wondering. my wife is not a fan of zaza so we get the regular sauce.

Love this place. No longer BYOB, which sucks and is not their fault(thanks Wakefield), but I typically order to go anyway. Their soups are perfect, especially stracciatella. Salads are good too. If you like chicken salad, or Italian tuna, on your salad, try those. Their regular pizza is OK, but you should go for the zaza thing, that’s where it’s at pizza wise. Aaaand, the escarole hippie role calzone thing. Subs and pasta are great too. Lots of people think it’s pricey for the small portion you get. The portions are smaller compared to your typical sub shop, but this isn’t a typical sub shop so I think people need to re-evaluate. Bring cash if you want a drink from the machine!

Morena’s is my favorite Italian Restaurant, and has been for years. They have authentic Italian dishes and amazing pizza. The Stracciatella Soup is a MUST have, every time, no questions asked. Pedro and the entire staff are beyond friendly and the food is amazing.

Just moved to the area and tried the sicilian zazza pizza with peppers and pepperoni a week ago. ITWASAWESOME! Great crust and sauce, very filling. The Sicilian easily fed four hungry adults and we had leftovers as well. We asked for breadsticks, as many reviews mentioned how great they are. Even though they only serve them in the restaurant when you sit, they threw some in. Very friendly :) We are ordering again tonight!

Good food and pizza but everything is a bit overpriced since the portions are very small. My chicken parm sub was about 8 inches and had very little chicken in it. I expect more then 1 ½ chicken cutlets for 8 dollars

Tried the gnocchi and meatball recently. Not impressed… meatball was not very good and sauce was terrible– had very little flavor and was just unappetizing. Gnocchi was cooked well so I suppose that is a positive. Overall not impressed at all.

The food here is amazing. It is, by far, the best Italian-American restaurant in Massachusetts. Everything taste amazing and home made. When searching for a restaurant that excels in quality and taste, this is exactly where I go to first. I would recommend their Chicken Marsala and Chicken noodle soup! I just love it!

i was just recently looking at reviews and as i have been coming here for years… i thought i should write a quick review for morena’s i have only had pizza and soup here… the zaza pizza and it is always so delish it is nice to be able to taste the flavors and since i love basil this pizza is one of the best i have had… but i cannot say enough about the tortellini soup… always taste like it was just prepared by my nonna and believe me after living in italy .i have had the best! this soup is so fresh, tasty, hot… can’t say enough… and the hot bread sticks they give you are a tasty treat to go along with the soup… try it — you will not be disappointed… the staff is warm and friendly… hey their italian :)

This place has the best pizza in the greater north of Boston suburb area. No contest! Get the Sicilian with zaza sauce. It’s not that bland rubbery dough that everybody else uses. It’s the real deal! Great service too, just wish they delivered. Haven’t tried any pasta or sandwiches yet but have heard great things.

We love the pasta here! My favorite is linguine shrimp. I get the white sauce and it’s so rich and delicious. My fiancé gets meatballs with gnocchi a lot and the sauce is great. It’s very consistent! We get take out a lot since we live around the corner and it’s always hot and fresh. Some items we’ve tried: –pasta primavera(no meat and delicious) –chicken parm –soups It’s a really great place to get homey Italian food!

Morenas is the perfect place for a quick bite to eat. While I’ve had some of their meals and their pizza, my favorite items on the menu are the soups. The pasta figole is my favorite even though the broth is not traditional. I’ve also tried their minestrone and my Mom enjoys the Italian wedding soup. Their menu is reasonably priced and they never keep you waiting long. The only things that I would like to see change are the fact that they’re not open on Sundays and that they would get rid of the beverage vending machine and replace it with a regular cooler.

The last place in the area to get a good slice of Italian pizza. Try the calzones and hippi roll as well.

This place is amazing ! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl with my family. Place itself is small, but fast and prompt. They have take out as well. Pizza is Sicilian Style, bomb ! Soups & Salads are delicious. The pasta dishes are just like your Grandma made them, perfecto! Great for a date night, girls night, quick lunch break, or take the food home.

Greatest pizza around! Just need 2 things to get five stars from me: 1. Delivery would be amazing 2. Replace the soda machine with a soda fridge so people who have no cash can still get a drink

Top notch chicken parm classic joint. Always fresh never frozen. Hidden gem of the north shore. Feels like there are dozens of pizza places in wakefield, morenas is sitting pretty at the top of that list. Has been since the 90’s. Long live morenas

We’ve been going to Morena’s since the early to mid 90’s. I’ve NEVER been disappointed with a single item I’ve ordered!!! Their square sicilian pizza is to die for. It tastes just as good cold as it does hot and fresh. Our favorite is a Sicilian Pizza with extra garlic cooked slightly well done. We sometimes buy one on a friday night and dine on it through saturday. Their escarole soup is delicious and perfect on frigid winter night. Everything seems to be made from scratch and if you can’t taste the difference, your taste buds must not be functioning. The staff is extremely friendly and personable. I’ve seen the same nice people working there for years and they always greet us with a smile. Also, this place is immaculate and one could eat off of their floor! Thanks Morena’s !! I’ll be back very soon !

Such a place! I’ve met the owner a number of times. She and her crew make all the food from scratch. Soup is fantastic, pasta, pizza, hippy rolls(just buy one and try it) all great stuff. And there’s a guy named Pedro working there — Love that guy! I’d bring cash, they don’t handle plastic well. Also, drinks come out of a vending machine. I guess this just adds to the charm of the place. Excellent little place to have a low key dinner.

The name is false advertising, this should read, Morena’s everything good Italian!!! What can I say about Morena’s; this place is so worth the drive! I have been eating here for well over 10 years; I have never had anything off the menu that wasn’t absolutely amazing. They have one of the most over the top soup menu’s you will see at any Italian restaurant. I would defiantly recommend trying their Straccatella soup, out of this world. I really don’t know how to give this place enough credit, once again if you are looking for a place to eat a quick lunch, or take out, or just go up and order, and eat some amazing Italian, look no further. Truly a N. Shore jem!
