Pizza Express

Still love these guys — they’re our default whenever we order pizza delivery. In 5 years they’ve only gotten one order wrong and that was a long time ago. The pizza sauce and crust are perfect.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I am usually a very optimistic Unilocaler. Today I ordered a pick up order of 3 pizzas (cheese, roni, & 1 specialty). Immediately after ordering I realized I ordered too much and called to reduce the order. Being a Sunday, I thought this wouldn’t be an issue since there are many families ordering cheese/​pepperoni pizzas for the pats game and it’s a SMALL business. I was rudely told that it was TOO LATE to reduce my order and would have to pick it up. I didn’t give my credit card but karma got the best of me and I continued to pick up my large order even though I was treated horribly. When I entered the restaurant I was treated awful by the cold and bitter staff.
Bottom line. Pizza is ok but the service is horrible. I would expect this service from a chain but never a small business. I’ll be taking my business to nicks pizza from now on!

I work nearby and we eat here often for lunch. The restaurant has something for everyone but the «go to lunch» for the office staff is the garden salad with grilled chicken. The chicken is always fresh grilled and never dried out. The grilled chicken sandwich is also delicious. The menu is extensive for the more adventurous folk. Everything tastes fresh and we’ve never had a bad lunch.

Just went here for subs (Italian, buffalo chicken wrap, chicken ceasar). All are great. The meat in the Italian are all boarshead products. The fries are crispy on the outside but softy on the inside. Def recommend getting subs and fries here.

I called and ordered «The Big Bird» one evening. A few minutes after calling it in, I had an immediate family emergency and wouldn’t be able to pick up the sandwich I had just ordered. Out of courtesy, I called pizza express to let them know this in which the guy on the phone responds, «That’s too bad. It’s already made; you have to pick it up.» Are you kidding me?!! First of all its a $ 6 sandwich, secondly it’s chicken salad, which is obviously pre-​made, thirdly. I could’ve just left it sitting there since they didn’t take my number, but instead I called to let them know. I even told the guy I had to get to the hospital for a family emergency. I’ve never heard of such horrible and rude service! Not returning ever again.

One of my favorite places to eat in Wakefield. I work pretty close by but can’t always leave my job to pick up the food and they always deliver. The food is amazing. My favorite is the chicken Caesar wrap. Simple but not everyone can do it right!
I am a big fan! Support local business and check this place out! :)

My kids prefer Pizza Express over Bertucci’s, and I have to say they make a pretty delicious pie. And they deliver.

Pizza is the best in town, sandwiches are always fresh and big, cold cuts are boars head and good quality and even their soups and bread bowls are good. They usually deliver quickly and with a smile, won’t stop ordering anytime soon!

Pizza Express is my go-​to for delivery when I don’t feel like cooking. I love their pizza — garlic/​cheese is one of my staples. Their pasta dinners are really good too and their meatballs have great flavor. I’ve had many of their subs which are all very tasty (I love that they have sprouts for a topping and their braided sub rolls are fantastic!). The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they are very skimpy with the meat in their subs which is disappointing because if they would just beef them up it would be the best sandwich around!

This place is awesome! Their pizza may not be as tasty as some other well known pizza shops (Papa Ginos, Regina Pizza, ect.), but it’s worth it! They also have some good looking burgers, fries and more. It’s perfect for on-​the-​road, but not for having a 5-​Star meal.

Ouch! This place is terrible.
I don’t know really how to describe this place, it’s just really bad. The cheese might be the worst part. It’s tasteless and chewy. Half of the time I take of the cheese. There isn’t a lot of sauce either. Your better off just eating the dough. The subs and calzones are bad as well.
I don’t know what else to say. Do not come here! For good pizza parlors in Wakefield go to either Slice or Lisa’s. I need to get my mind off of this pizza.

The pizza is good, the staff is Horrible. But it is pizza shop so whatever.

Today I when I called in my order, I was told that there would be a $ 1.50 charge to use my credit card over the phone. When I questioned this charge I was told that «we are passing on the fee that we are charged for accepting a credit card over the phone.» I would like to bring to your attention that this is not only illegal but you are in violation of your «Merchant Card Agreement.»
VISA states that «you may not impose any surcharges on a visa transaction.» 1
MasterCard states that «a Merchant must not directly or indirectly require a Cardholder to pay a surcharge or any part of any Merchant discount or any contemporaneous finance charge in connection with a Transaction.» 2
American Express states that «You must not accept the Card for cost or fees over the normal price of your goods (plus applicable sales taxes) or Charges that Card member have not specifically approved.» 3

I find this to be a shady business practice which does not reflect on your business in a becoming manner. Also an inconvenience as I opted to pick up my order to avoid this charge/​fee.

This place is the worst. My boyfriend and I both got sick from eating here. The food was really gross, only could take a few bites. Delivery took an 1.5 hrs and they forgot party of our order.

Service is very good, fast, and friendly… food is… meh. Pizza is so-​so, sandwiches could be better if they actually put something in between the bread. At least they use those braided scali rolls… yum.

Steak Mafia Pizza = AWESOME!!!
I have not tried any of their other specialty pizzas and their Greek Salad was nothing to make me want to go back here… so this review is solely speaking on behalf of the Steak Mafia Pizza and how yummy it is.
This pizza consists of sliced tomatoes, topped with marinated steak tips and smothered with a mix of feta cheese, Romano Cheese and mozzarella cheese… try it!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

After recently moving to Wakefield I was on the search for good pizza and sandwiches. I was in town less than a week when I found this gem. They have a huge menu and so far everything has been excellent. I love that they have 9 pizzas without red sauce. That kicks ass!!! I’ve tried at least 7 different sandwiches and all have been fantastic. I love their soups and you can even get it in a bread bowl. One of the things I really like is it says right on the menu that if you want something special done that is not on the menu, just ask they will make it. So in less than a week I have a favorite sandwich shop and its only 2 blocks from my house…

Yay for trying random local pizza joints. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but if someone put a pie in front of me, I wouldn’t complain. It was the right cheesy-​ness and greasy-​ness that i require, for sure, but I didn’t love the crust. I had a BLT, and this thing was big, the bread was fresh, and it was sooo delish.
The menu is also much more extensive than I would have expected. If I lived in town, I’d definitely go here a lot.

okay, so not the best atmosphere… but you wont notice when you sink your teeth into a «Turkey De-​Light» this a sandwich that I actually dream about!
It’s just that fresh & good! Lesson here… don’t allows judge a book by it’s cover… this place is an «all — time» favorite! Food & service A+

Of the many Pizza joints I’ve tried in the Wakefield area, this one seems to be the most consistently great. Italian style pizza with all the standard toppings.
The deli sandwiches are above average… good stuff.
If you get food from here, you will not go wrong!
