I guess this place is better for sushi because we ordered pad Thai and chicken katsu and not only was it bad, it didn’t seem like a typical pad Thai and chicken katsu. The pad Thai was really just spicy orange noodles with chicken and broccoli and peanuts. The katsu is basically covered in eggs and a soggy outside topped with a large amount of ginger on top. Disgusting! The delivery was on time, that was a plus.

Miso soup was good, all the rest just terrible. We ordered house special noodle(with mark must try), which was salty, overcooked and tasted really bad. Sushi were just ok. One more thing i did’t like — they brought food for me 10 min earlier than for my husband, so we couldn’t eat together…

We go there at least once a week, that’s how good this place is. They staff is friendly, polite and efficient and the food is, as far as I am concerned, the best Japanese food in the northshore area. There salmon and tuna tataki is to die for, so is their shrimp shumai, gyoza and every single maki dish that I have tried(O Toro maki, Fire on fish maki, crunchy maki, Sakura maki, lobster maki, spider maki, pink lady maki, Patriots maki). I would eat there every day, if I could afford it. I think we will be trying some other dishes next time so stay tuned for an update, of this update. Please go there so that they never close.

Disclaimer: Never ended up eating here. Walked in, ordered some green tea and decided on our lunch order. By the time we ordered it was 2:45 and the lunch specials ran until 3pm(according to the menu). The waiter took our order and later came back to tell us they weren’t serving lunch anymore. We noted the time to him, he shrugged, and went back to his manager who came out and simply told us they wouldn’t serve us lunch. No explanation as to why, and upon realizing that if we were to order what we wanted off the dinner menu, it would cost us a lot more. We decided it wasn’t worth it, paid for our green tea and left. The décor was alright, but a big generic. We ended up having a great meal at Fugakyu instead.

The atmosphere was great, no wait for a Tuesday night, and the food excellent. The house maki was delicious and filling.

The best sashimi at the best price That alone gets it 5 stars. I’ve been to the rest and frankly the freshest best tasting fish is to be found at this unassuming location The Maki is pretty good too

One star for service. The guy in the front is consistently pretty rude when doing takeout. Like yes your life may suck, or you are having a shitty day, but you’re the face of the restaurant and its yoir job to greet customers and be nice! !! Their food gets maybe 2 stars because around this area sushi is just meh. Its very obvious that their rolls are made with a lot of fillers and cheap stuff. Prime example: spicy salmon is filled with crunchy tempura and spicy mayo with ground up salmon. Barely any actual meat! And then the una avo roll is basically avo roll with a tinnnnyyyy piece of eel. All in all, not impressed

This place is simply great. Tremendous service, always greeted warmly and checked on frequently. The food is always fresh and a great menu. The fusion take is fantastic as standard appetizers, lomien and rice will satisfy those in the party not up for the Sushi. So many great choices! Also one of the few local places that offers indoor and out door seating. Great service, great food, great drinks!

We were so pleasantly surprised by Sakura. Everything we had was delicious, and the service was excellent. We went at 4pm(parked right in front) with a baby who sat in the high chair, and the staff was really sweet to him. The sashimi salad appetizer was especially delicious, as was the salt and pepper soft shell crab and the #5 Snow Mountain Special Maki. The miso soup and gyoza were also very good. If we are in the area again, I will definitely go back! Very positive experience.

The entrees at Sakura can be hit or miss, but the appetizers and sushi are consistently good. If you like spicy food, the fire on fish maki is great. The egg rolls may be my wife’s favorite appetizer in Wakefield. As a bonus, the delivery is unreasonably fast, so this is a great option if you are too hungry to wait.

Last minute decision to go out for sushi and it was delightful. It was Saturday night and there was live music to go along great sushi and drinks. The hamachi-kama is always good. Fire on fish maki has a nice bite. Unagi and hamachi were fresh.

No joke, I eat here 3+ times a week. This is hands down the best sushi I have ever had, every time I come in. They have the freshest fish — seen them cutting a whole tuna behind the sushi bar. The service is great, and the owner, Mark, is wonderful! Always chats with me when I come in alone and makes my husband and I feel right at home every time we come in. I have celiac’s disease and they have never failed to accommodate me and my allergy. Gluten free soy sauce is available and almost every sushi roll can be made gluten free — even the AMAZING lettuce wraps can be made gf! This is the only place my mom will eat raw sushi because it is all wild caught and so fresh. Would highly recommend this place!

Sakura Organic skimps on their food. Hardly any fish in their sushi. The filling for their spicy salmon maki(roll) was a small amount of chopped-up salmon mixed with lots of what looked like tempura flake(fried wheat flour) and sauce. Spicy salmon maki are supposed to have thick, whole slices of fish, not a shredded, oily mixture that looks and smells like cat food. Their unagi(eel) with avocado maki had huge chunks of avocado, with very thin slivers of eel. Their salad contained 6 baby romaine leaves, 1 grape tomato, 1 slice of cucumber, and a tablespoon of shredded carrot; the rest was plain iceberg lettuce. I’ve had better salads at McDonald’s. Summary: Sakura Organic gives you as little as possible for your money. Maybe serving all-organic is too expensive for them to maintain. Seems like an unsustainable business model. They should either raise the prices, and serve fair portions of organic food, or they should drop the«organic» and be a regular sushi restaurant with regular prices. Their current approach of «regular prices for very skimpy servings» is unfair to the customer.

My favorite sushi place in the area! The have an extensive selection of rolls, as well as other non-sushi dishes. You can replace white rice with brown rice for anything you order! Staff is great too! Last time I was there they had some pretty nice live music!

I went there for dinner last night with my boyfriend. I ordered a glass of Malbec. It tasted like Merlot, which has a bitter taste compaired to Malbec and dose not go as well with fish. The waiter offered to get me another wine, I ordered a Risling. Before taking the wine off the table the waiter said to my boyfriend do you want it before I dump it? My boyfriend said ok. The manager came with a shrimp dish that we did not order and said try this, I asked if it was gluten free he said no so my boyfriend ate it and I did not. When the bill came the waiter said he could not figure out how to take the first wine off the bill, although he added the second glass and said that’s why we gave you a shrimp appetizer. I found the whole experience shady and felt tricked. Sushi was good, however there is another sushi place closer to my house that is just as good I just have to bring my own gluten free soy sauce. I like that this place is fairly good about gluten allergies, but needless to say I won’t be back because the experience was awkward and I felt tricked into paying for an extra glass of wine.

Went to an open house in Wakefield and decided to grab lunch while we were here. Jumped on Unilocal and found this place. Couldn’t be more satisfied with our choice. Tastefully decorated with a very relaxed atmosphere with great bar seating. Ordered some maki and loved them all. The ingredients were fresh and the food came out beautiful. Service was great as well too. Now I feel like I’m gushing… although in my defense the drinks we ordered were delightfully strong. The next time I’m in Wakefield, I will definitely come back. I recommend Sakura Organic to all!
