Alas, The Duck Walk is no longer. I wanted to buy a huge batch of their peanut sauce and have their Woonsen Pad Thai one more time… I’ll never be the same :(

This is my chill Asian food place in Wakefield. The people are nice and they have a huge wine list. My fave is the Tom Yum soup and beef in Pik Pow sauce w a Singha.

This Thai place has always been my favorite! The staff is very very friendly — always remember you.(you are not just another customer). The food is excellent! They will Adjust your dish to your liking. Always so accomodating. The Martinis are the best — always chilled to perfection and strong! The décor has always been very relaxing and quaint with patio umbrellas inside. Give this place a try, you will want to go back — its nice to go somewhere where your treated very special and TV’s are not plastered all over the walls. There is soft music and a great place to socialize . Not sure why its not as busy as it use to be because the service and quality is still tops!!!

Another great restaurant in Wakefield. Staff was fantastic and the food was real good. One of the best dishes of Pad Thai in the area. Convenient, quick and not too expensive.

This place is really fun inside. The décor makes you feel like your in some far away place… Or in your grandmother’s house. Lots of plants, knickknacks, and patio umbrellas(yes, inside). Dimly lit at night which is nice for a romantic date night. The food is decent. It’s not the most amazing Thai food I’ve ever had but it’s definitely not the worst. Staff is very friendly!

I *loved* the Duck Walk in the past but my recent visit was terrible. I heard there are new owners, which may explain the chewy, fatty duck(almost no meat), and soggy vegetable tempura that tasted like defrosted frozen vegetables. The décor not only hasn’t been updated in years, the entire restaurant just looks and feels dingy. At least the staff was friendly. We left disappointment after paying over $ 100 on a subpar meal from what used to be a great restaurant.

I have to agree with what someone else wrote — the place is worn, in need of TLC. The walls are cracked, carpet worn, I almost felt like they have the lights down low so you can’t see the wear and tear. On the plus side the food is great… I’ve never had a bad meal there. I would say the prices are a bit steep but worth it if you like great food. I would give it 5 stars but they need to do some work on the place — clean, paint, refresh it a bit.

This is a really a great restaurant — the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! What really sets this place apart though is the customer service!!! Im going back!

Updating my review, as it’s been a while. Still one of the best Thai places around. I think they’re getting beat on price, as a few new places have opened up and are a bit more competitive in that area, but this is still the highest quality option IMO.

Best Thai food ever! My family and I go here all the time and absolutely love it. Try the crispy pad thai or the vegetable tempura, they are my favorite for sure! Oh, and their peanut sauce is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve even been to Thailand!

I’m going to keep it simple here. If you want a great meal, made WITHFRESHINGREDIENTS, and served by a staff which treats you like a King, then dine at The Duck Walk. My wife and I have been going for years and we’ve NEVER had a bad meal. And to those who say it is too expensive. It is 2014. They have a MULTITUDE of luncheon specials for $ 9.99. If that’s too pricey, maybe you shouldn’t be eating out. It is their exquisite twist on Won Ton soup, which keeps us anxious to return. Wonderful, polite, attentive and caring staff.

When you first walk in, you are met with the smell of incense. Then you take a closer look around and start to see the cracks. Literally. This place just seems rundown. Paint peeling, cracks on the walls here and there. Bad sign. We were the only ones in there at lunchtime. Another bad sign. The interior needs a little love and care, and so does the food. It’s overpriced for what you get. Pad Thai was serviceable but not good enough to justify the price. No one in our group of 5 liked their meal. I had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time, so it was all the more disappointing.

What a whimsical, fun, delicious and affordable place. Best overall Thai experience I have had in the city, and the price is right. Pad Thai was great, as were the golden bag appetizers. The little flowers on the straw wrappers was such a cute touch. We were super impressed with this place and will be back frequently.

The Duck Walk has some of the best Thai food in the area! I love the Woonsen pad Thai. The vegetables are so fresh and the bean sprouts add a great crunch! The rock n roll wings are amazing and are so sweet and tangy. My fiancé loves the Drunken Noodle and usually gets it with a spice level of 7. We have also enjoyed trying the dumplings and were not disappointed! The Thai iced tea is also the best I’ve ever had. The service is great here as well and we always feel welcome and at home.

(this waitress seems to be gone now) We used to like this place(although the meat was ALWAYS overcooked, it wasn’t BAD and the sauces are tasty), but now they have the most annoying waitress(they used to have a guy who was attentive, but knew to leave you alone to eat your meal!) who is over every two minutes checking on you and keeps bringing you random things to «try»(like drinks and such) and pouts if you don’t like them… it gets old really quickly(ok, you might think that that is nice, in which case, maybe you will like the attention, we started to find it incredibly annoying and intrusive, so stopped eating here– right now I am thinking about take out and STILL not getting it from here because I am just not in the mood to deal with that)

Wasn’t really impressed with the salads or the service. Had to ask for a wine list 3 times before we got one. Then they forgot to come take our order. We ate half of our salty salads(way over salted) that had entirely too much dressing on them. Ended up sending our bottle of wine back(which had still not arrived) and went next door to Sakurai Organic Sushi(5 stars)

This restaurant *WAS* a great place to eat. It seems like they have added a lot of sugar to their food over the last several years. The Thai iced tea is so sickly sweet that its not drinkable. Overall, there are much better places to eat in the area… unless you love sugary food.

Duck Walk can walk the walk when it comes to Thai food. I’ve been here several times and the food is always fresh and tasty. My favorite dish is a seafood noodle soup and I always order extra noodles. The soup has a trio of flavors — sweet, spicy, sour and is oh so delicious, a great way to warm up on a cold winter day. The apps are solid and their Thai iced tea rivals any other Thai restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is fun and clean and their service is friendly and attentive!

My husband and I absolutely adore this place. I always get the yellow curry and it always comes out fresh and just out of this world delicious. You can tell each entrée is made to order from scratch. The drinks are also super fresh and made with a heavy hand. The décor is unique and festive. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here a few times, twice with co-workers, and twice ordered take out. The couple times I’ve gone in the atmosphere is absolutely wonderfully decorated, and the drinks are STRONG. You get your money’s worth on drinks alone! ;) A bit pricer than other Thai restaurants, but Wakefield doesn’t have a ton anyway so its comparable! The first time I ever ordered take out I was disappointed. I enjoyed eating their Pad Thai while in the restaurant, and I assumed that the food would be just as good taking it home. Alas the first take out time it was not that good Today I had a craving for some tofu pad thai, but the place I originally called didn’t have pad thai noodles! I decided since my craving outweighed my previous experience to give Duck Walk another take out chance! I ordered my Spicy Tofu Pad Thai. Had to wait an additional 10 mins for it when I got there, but when I finally go it I devoured every last bite!!! MUCH better this time than last. I will definitely be coming back here. The prices are worth it. :)
