Very impressed with all of our food. Started with scallion pancakes and chive dumplings, also had a pad see ew, yellow curry and spicy eggplant. Restaurant was very accommodating of our dietary requests and among the Thai restaurants in Metro Boston, this is definitely one of the best. This is definitely more of a takeout /delivery place vs sit down.

tried them a few weeks ago — we were going to eat in, but the seating is very limited. we opted for takeout, and i enjoyed the pad thai. food is good and fresh, parking situation is less than ideal.

I waited years to try this – kept missing them in Chelmsford. Prompt, courteous service. Clear menu. Amazing food quality. Great flexibility for a kid who needed a gentle on-ramp to surprising food. Worth the wait, and I hope to be back soon.

I ordered the pad thai, Tom yum soup, and scallion pancakes and I could barely eat any of it. The pad Thai and soup were missing any Thai flavors and spices and were just bland. The scallion pancakes were just a deep fried mess and had no scallions in it. Worst Thai food I have ever had and I had high hopes since I live near Rod Dee in Brookline

Pad thai was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. Spicy fried squid over rice was delicious, consistency was spot on. Scrumptious food here! Wish they would get on Foodler! I had delivery, it arrived fast.

Glad this place landed close enough for delivery; even if they were 15min late… I judge all thai food by their execution of pad kra pao; and they did a fine job. The heat was great(super hot) but I found it a little strange they used jalapenos instead of traditional Thai chilies. The jalepenos were soggy in the dish, but the flavor was spot on. The family got a few noodle dishes that were good, in a ubiquitous thai brown sauce. We’ll order from here again soon.

5 star worthy for Thai food around these parts. The food is very good and they have a nice variety on their menu with many popular items like Pad Thai, curries, and noodles in addition to special dishes unique to Gin U Dee. The Indonesian fried rice, crispy chicken on a bed of flavor packed rice is phenomenal and really hits the spot! I’m salivating just thinking about it. Thai iced tea and Tom Yum Soup were also spot on. I noticed they have a special combo meal(you pick 3) served all day: 1 app, 1 entrée, and 1 soup for $ 9.95, which seems like a great deal. Will have to try that next time. It’s more of a delivery or pick up place although they do have a small seating area. Two bars seating about 4 – 5 people each, one bar overlooks the counter/kitchen and the other has a street view. There another small table(maybe two?) that seats two people. TIP: Call your delivery orders EARLY because they are sometimes slow. I won’t hold it against them though because the food is worth the wait. Hope they stick around!

Enjoyed our meal tremendously: drunken chicken and spicy beef salad. Great prices. This Thai restaurant is «to go» only. They said 20 minutes, and when we arrived in 18, the food was hot and ready for take out. What makes this place different for me is the variety of dishes. They have the usual Thai dishes you find at all Boston area restaurants, but there are new and different items on the menu that make Gin U Dee stand out.

I really wanted to LOVE this place, but I couldn’t. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and I really wanted to support a new place. I was given a free Vietnamese iced tea because I spent over a certain amount of money. the tea was delicious, and the food didn’t take too long to come out. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and hot and sour soup. Unfortunately, the pad Thai had about two pieces of chicken and literally only one shrimp. The soup wasn’t anything great either. Overall, because of the great service I got, I really wanted to love it, but the food prevented me from doing so.

I got take out from this place a second time this week. The first time I got a few dishes and they were ok. My favorite go to is generally Pad See Ew and theirs is only ok. This second time I gave the pad see ew another try and again was only ok… I def won’t get it again… but I also tried their Pad Thai, which I don’t get that often, and it was outstanding! Therefore I gave them a 4 star review, based on an excellent Pad Thai and I will definitely be back for that in the future.

Tried this place shortly after they opened a few months ago. Ordered pad thai and spicy calamari. It was, surprisingly, really good! We were encouraged and were looking forward to becoming weekly customers. The second time we ordered, we were told we had to wait for the chef to return(?). That he was«on an errand.» OKAYYYYYYY(???). It was mid-week, but still, it was also dinner-time. My husband waited 15 minutes, he returned, and cooked the order. Same pad thai, same calamari. Not as good. Just okay. Boooo. The third time we ordered(hoping to recapture the initial glow)…well, more like DIDN’T order, because we called… and no one answered. At all. It just kept ringing. On a Saturday night at 8pm(9⁄19). WHAT? Maybe they have closed already? if not, they may as well close, since they clearly don’t know how to run a business. It’s very sad. The first order we had was REALLYGOOD!

I tried ordering from here tonight. I ordered online using foodler and received a confirmation email. The food never arrived. I tried calling the restaurant many times and no one picked up. Now it is 10:15 and I have no dinner. sad. Glad there is another thai place in town– we will be sticking with that!

The place was clean and the staff was nice. My take out order was also ready on time. But… the food was really disappointing. I ordered the crab rangoon and yellow curry with chicken. The fried part of the crab rangoons tasted stale and the sauce left a lot to be desired. They weren’t even warm so I wonder how long before my order they had been made. The yellow curry was just ok. It was very hot temperature wise(so hopefully that means it was fresher) but pretty bland and the potatoes chunks were hard. My husband and I were very disappointed in the meal. Also, I calculated how much a similar order would have cost us as the Thai place in Melrose(which I know is very good) and we didn’t save much going to Gin U Dee. Maybe if we tried the pad thai or something else next time it would be better.

Great food at pretty good prices compared to what Thai places usually charge. Pad Thai was good and my girlfriend really liked the ginger and mushroom stir fry.

We did pick up. Our order was ready at the time they told me. Our food was delicious and even looked good which can be difficult with takeout. Spring rolls, Scallion Pancakes, House Sauteed Chicken with Peanut Sauce, BBQ Thai Pork, Pad Thai with tofu. Prices are reasonable. We have a winner in Stoneham.

Best Thai food in Stoneham and rivals the Thai food down in the city too. Got my go to Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Flavors were on point and customer service was excellent!

Relative of my favorite Thai place in Brookline, MA. He has all the right experience and the ingredients. Can’t wait to try more than just indo fried rice and rangoons. Thank you Jumbo!

The green curry is excellent. There is a huge menu of options to choose from, and I can’t wait to try more of what they have to offer. At the time I’m writing this,(heads up) they have a $ 10 minimum on paying with a credit card.
