Best Thai! I have been to Thailand and love to Thai food. Hands down best Thai in Boston area. Food is fresh and delicious. Spring rolls are yummy. Pick any curry and you will not regret. The only downside is small seating space but there is never a long wait time. Friendly family owned business. Highly recommended

Great food! Bold and flavorful — I can order it again and again. Had the Drunken Noodle with chicken and it was near perfect(I should ask for a spicier version next time), and Red Curry — too sweet for my taste, even though the sauce was very flavorful. Too bad the seating area is small and they don’t deliver.

Food = excrllent taste But i saw the lady and the man chef use the same taste spoon more than once to try the curry to make sure it tasted correct. That is so fcking disgusting, it makes me not want to go there. If youre gonna put your saliva in my food at least dont let me see you do it. Shouldnt be doing it in the first place.

The best Thai in the area, bar none. In fact, the only better Thai food I’ve ever had is in Thailand. It’s that good. Ingredients are fresh and flavorful, service is always very friendly, and its BYOB. The interior is small but intimate, with the kitchen practically being in the dining room(which makes for entertaining views) — this isn’t a spot for candle lit dinners, but is a great place for a fun night out with a small group. A great thai restaurant!

The best restaurant in Wakefield. I’m always trying different things on the menu and never disappointed. The only downside is that they’re closed a lot and not always on schedule.

This is probably my only favorite Thai restaurant around. Sandy the manager/owner always make you feel welcome with her wonderful personality. It’s a small little joint but has great good. My GF and I always ordered the usual item because it’s that good. We always get the drunken noodles which is spicy, basil fried rice(also spicy) and their wonderful spicy crab rangoon and wings. Full of flavor, not too spicy, just enough to have a running nose.

My favorite go to Thai restaurant. Everything is delicious on the menu. I come here quite frequently when I crave delicious and savoring food. From the red sugar wings to the drunken noodle. Everything is amazing here. I have not been disappointed once. The owners are great and very attentive as well. Few favorites: Spicy Crab Rangoon Red Sugar Wings Basil Fried Rice Mango Fried Rice Chicken Drunken Noodle You need to go!

I love love love this place! im a big fan of crispy crab rangoons, and Red Sugar has theirs down to an art. the wontons are really thin and get nice and crisp, while the inside is flavorful. YUM! I tried Red sugar for the first time with my boyfriend and his friend that he teaches Judo to. We went all together after the lesson and I had the drunken noodles. My boyfriend got the Red Curry. Both were really really good. I also asked for a lot of extra egg inside my drunken noodles and they did not disappoint. usually when i ask for extra egg they just put the same amount of eggs and say its extra. here they put EXTRA. which is exactly how i like it. The flavor was excellent in both the noodles and the curry. I used to work in a small thai restaurant in Woburn, and their curries are delicious, but I think these are better. The prices are kind of expensive here but the better quality of the dishes are worth it. I plan on going back soon, but I wish they would open for Lunch! I work right down the street and i have been telling my co workers about it but its only open for dinner. Boo. Also, the place is Bring your own beer, so If you like to have a drink with your dinner keep that in mind! Also, there is not much seating so I’d be open to take out if you are going during a dinner rush.

Simply put, this is the best Thai food around. The restaurant is very small and out of the way with little parking, but it is predominantly takeout oriented. The family that runs the restaurant is local and takes pride in their food-it shows. The flavors are strong and ingredients taste fresh. The prices are not cheap, yet not out of line. In a word, yum!

Honestly never thought I’d say the best Thai food I’ve ever had was in Wakefield, MA but it really is! Everything here is delicious(personal favorites are the gyoza and drunken noodles) and made right in front of you in their tiny kitchen. The staff is incredibly friendly as well… better for takeout, as there are only a couple tables inside but bottom line — food here is incredible.

There are no words to describe how much I love«Red Sugar». Their food is so delicious! I mean EVERY dishes! I specially love their Spicy Rangoon’s, Pas see you, Thai ice tea, Drunken noodles, Red Sugar chicken wings, etc. Service is also wonderful, too. People are always friendly ! It always makes my meal perfect! I would recommend highly to anyone who likes Thai food!

Omg BESTYELLOWCURRY in the area!!! Out in CA, I used to get yellow curry all the time, they generally use carrots, onions, and potatoes out there, but I’ve found that pineapple is common out here. The really sweet lady(I wish I had learned her name so I could properly thank her), let me swap out the pineapples for potatoes… and this may possibly be my favorite yellow curry of all time!!! Chicken is juicy, not dry, and the sauce is just the right amount of spicy… Definitely has a good kick but my mouth isn’t on fire… Delicious and huge portion too. Probably won’t be leftovers because it is THAT good. Thank you!!!

I ordered here after seeing all the fantastic Unilocal reviews. I picked up my order and brought home to eat and it was«fine». There was nothing wrong with it, but it wasn’t excellent. I ordered the Pad See You, which is my go to Thai dish to try as a first at all restaurants and although it wasn’t terrible and it may have been the best Pad See You I’ve had on the North Shore, it was still just ok. I will give Red Sugar another chance and try something different the next time. I will just adjust my expectations and then hopefully enjoy it more.

We went to this place because we found it on Unilocal and then when we drove up we were a little skeptical. We ordered the crab rangoons because we were told they were the best and they were. I am a huge crab rangoon fan and these were amazing. We also order masaman curry and it was so flavorful and amazing. Everything we had was extremely good. This is a classic example of don’t judge a book by its cover. Only problem was it was cash only and they did not advertise this anywhere. We were fine because the prices were so reasonable, but they should tell people before they sit down.

Horrible experience! Waited over an hour for food that was mediocre. The pad thai was too sweet. Udon was too salty, curry was too spicy when we ordered mild. When I spoke with the owner after the meal for some consideration on the bill for the excessive wait(we were the only ones sitting at tables but many people walked in for take out over the hour) I was offered a free small rice. When I put my coat on she threatened to call the police thinking I was skipping on the bill. I said I would pay the bill, but then she told me to leave so she could call the police. You get the idea, this is a horrible place. Another customer told me on the way in his food wasn’t very good, I should have taken that as a sign. Avoid it like the plague. Absolutely the worst restaurant experience in my life… on my daughter’s 14th birthday no less.

Only a handful of tables — approximately 8 — and a tight fit all around. But… service was fast and reliable and the food was fantastic. We shared an order of spicy chilli wings, and they were wonderfully seasoned, crispy, and cooked perfectly. We then shared two entrees: an order of pad thai and a spicy rice dish(with chicken and shrimp and an assortment of veggies); note the latter was seasoned with sriracha and carried with it just the right amount of heat. Delicious food at a terrific value. Can’t wait to go back!

BEST Thai food I’ve had in this area. Everything on the menu is delicious, especially the chicken dishes. The pad Thai is also amazing. The servers are incredibly friendly and more than happy to customize a dish if you want it with or without something. AMAZING!
