I got a tofu padthai which was so good. The environment is quiet. Service is okay. There usually one server each time I come. I usually park on the street side, but they have public parking in the back

Great price, huge portions! They may just have one of the best pad Thai dishes I’ve had in a long while! The dining room is quiet and clean, with nice ambiance. Wait staff is always courteous although when it’s slow, we have been given too much time to linger over our meals. Recently have not had a liquor license so there is no alcohol with the meal, which isn’t the worst thing, but before they lost it they had really nice Thai beers and I miss them:( If you’re in the Melrose area, definitely consider eating here and trying their coconut soup!

No liquor license, forgot an app. Forgot our rice. Stopped our order to answer phone. Food tasted like salt city. Been here many times before, but this place has gone way downhill. Disappointed. Service and food get an f today. Update… got the bill and was charged for the rice. Wow, tough night for these folks.

Good food! Provide vegan options, which can be hard to find. This is spicy, so be warned.

Seriously irresponsible service. never returning here again. after making extremely clear that we were strict vegetarians and will not eat any meat, chicken or eggs in the food we were served chicken which ofcourse in a tempura camouflaged as tofu. ended eating that. when confronted with the issue, the answer I got was and I quote ‘oh, it’s chicken’. Are you serious? Then instead of offering an apology they are more interested in whether we will finish our dinner or like the check? And ofcourse I was made to pay to eat their mistake. I mean this raises serious concerns — is the restaurant following any regulatory standards? How does the chicken just slip into the veggies? Was it just walking over? How would this restaurant perform for people with allergies. is the response to an anaphylactic patient going to be ‘oh, it’s chicken’ All in all, ofcourse I am never coming back here but would advise that anyone who after reading this plans to go there, beware. Most pathetic management I have come across so far.

No. Don’t bother. The pad thai smelled like feet, tasted like yarn and a box of orange mac and cheese would have tasted like elegance on a plate compared to what I received today. Save your money and go eat somewhere else.

This place is serviceable. It could be so much more, but it’s still solid. It serves its purpose for us: when we’re feeling very lazy and don’t want to put in much thought or effort, we’ll order from Spice. The paid thai is just ok but that’s common for the area. Won’t get much better Pad Thai, but that doesn’t mean theirs is great. They should change up the recipe for it, it’s a bit stale, but passable.

Spice is always our go-to for thai food. We’ve ordered quite a few things on the menu and it’s always good. Tom yum is my favorite soup, hot and sour. I’ve tried the Tom ka gai, but I’m not too fond of the coconut in it, which makes it sweeter. Lemongrass Madness, the lemongrass in it gives the dish such a great aroma and it’s so delicious. Yellow curry chicken, we’ve never ordered curry here before, but this was so good(and the chicken wasn’t dry) it’s now one of our favorites. I also like spicy food so 2 chili peppers is just right, you get a nice kick throughout the meal and sniffles at the end. None of the dishes come with white rice, so you have to order on the side(or make it at home) Their menus have coupons, so whenever we order over $ 25 we use the coupon to get free crab rangoons or free thai rolls. I love their crab rangoons, they’re shaped like half moons(vs triangles) so you get creamy crabby goodness in every bite. Service is great. We always pick up or get delivery and they’re always quick.

I liked the food here, but there is a notice on their window(Dated 8÷10÷15) that they have been closed per order of the Health Department.

Yum! We moved to Malden recently and we were concerned about having to find a new, solid Thai delivery place. We expected some hits and misses; but Spice was the first one we tried(thru Foodler) and it was an instant hit! I think we’ve ordered from there 3 – 4 times in the past 2 months. Their Pad Thais are excellent — I really appreciate that you can get one with shrimp AND chicken — so many places make you choose one or the other. We’ve tried the classic and the crispy and both are great. We’ve also sampled a bunch of the appetizers and haven’t been disappointed — Thai ravioli, Thai rolls, crab rangoons, shrimp wontons, etc all arrive warm and perfectly fried. Delivery has been mostly early; one time was slightly late but the fellow was very apologetic and nice about it. Our house can be a little tough to find and there are a lot of stairs involved, so any person who delivers with a smile is always appreciated :) Some day we will go dine-in, but in the meantime, 5 stars for the delivery experience!

They have excellent food and polite staff. My favorite dish is the Malaysian Beef Fried Rice. It’s awesome!

We ordered the Cashew nut with chicken and Thai roll through foodler. Unfortunately there is no warning that the curries don’t come with rice! When I called to ask if this was correct the person answering the phone was very rude and was not listening. The best part was when the restaurant called back about 15 minutes later. I thought it would be to apologize, but the caller just said«Are you Nancy?» So I guess my number was used for someone else’s order. I hope they get it.

Excellent panang curry dish with chicken. The heat of the curry is just right compared to most Thai restaurants that leave your nose running and palate burnt. The staff were friendly and the food arrived promptly. Ambience is not too invasive on the meal.

Spice of Melrose is a quality Thai restaurant. I’ve dined in the restaurant, and gotten take out multiple times over the last few years. I’ve never been disappointed. The food is good, and consistently so. However, I gave 4 stars because there’s nothing really spectacular to say. Just a conveniently located restaurant with enjoyable dine in and take out.

We wanted to have a good Thai place in Melrose but Spice is not it. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was good either. The search continues…

Good mango curry. And the rangoons were excellent too. I like mine more on the cream cheesey side so these were great. A little pricier than I was expecting but I did get the crab rangoons.

Food was awesome. Prices were very reasonable. Good service. No complaints. First time for Thai and they knocked it out of the park for me.
