I will start with saying that Bob Evans was our favorite breakfast spot since moving here about 9 months ago. Today we had a terrible experience even though I am giving one star and it is for our waitress, as she had nothing to do with the issues we had. We all ordered. My kids food came out and at that time the waitress let me know that what I ordered, the cornmeal hash breakfast, was no longer available. I said okay and quickly ordered the chocolate cherry pancakes, since I no longer had a menu and saw it on the little table bifold. Everyone else’s food came out. My husband had ordered the border scramble and when it arrived it looked way different than the photo. It was covered in jalapeños and there were no homefries on the plate like the picture had. We inquired abs the waitress went to the kitchen and came back and said that she was told it came pre-mixed so there was no way to change it. I asked where were the chives and sour cream and how come the jalapeños and she said she would have them redo it. At that time my pancakes came out and were drenched in cherry syrup. No chocolate or whip cream again not like the photo or what I ordered. The waitress was so nice and earlier had let us know she was new. I didn’t want to cause any more uncomfortableness for her so I said you know, these pancakes are huge we will just share them, even though they are also wrong. She asked if I was sure and I said yes, it wasn’t her fault. She took the western disaster away and that was that. My kids meals were fine, no complaints and we picked a little of their plates and we were okay. I was really let down though because we only do breakfast out once every few months and today really sucked! If something isn’t on the menu, then mark it off. And don’t add spicy jalapeños as a garnish when you don’t have chives! $ 37 later and I did not have one bite of anything that I ordered or wanted.

Amazingly bad service. The head waiter was running the floor by himself. No host, no manager on the floor. He had to go into the back to get menus at 5:30 pm. My waiter was a total [deleted]. He was wearing his outdoor coat. He didn’t make eye contact. He didn’t greet me at all but stood, slouched, and unsmiling, with his notebook out and his pen poised until I ordered. He spoke: «Links or Patties?». He brought me hot but stale coffee, and didn’t ask if I wanted cream. He brought me a cold plate of eggs, undercooked hash browns, and biscuits in a to-go carton.(that is bad sign number 2). After I asked for a refill on the coffee, he did bring it right back. He didn’t check on me between the order and the delivery. As soon as he dropped off the coffee, he left the store. He didn’t tell another waiter, or me, but left.(coat and to-go container, see?) No one checked on me. I went to the counter to pay, and the head waiter wondered where my waiter had gone. His colleagues let him know that the deadbeat had left already. He offered to find the manager when I asked and even asked if there was something I wanted. Regrettable service doesn’t piqué the appetite. Drive a couple of miles south, there is another one on the right where I have had better luck.

Um. The food was good. Never heard of a 20 minute wait over staffing issues with clean empty tables. Service was so so. Our server seemed inexperienced and had problems with product knowledge. I ordered my meal with endless bread, never had any bread let alone endless bread. We usually forego appetizers for bread if offered. We were traveling back to Virginia, I may consider coming back.

Very bad service. Coffee served cold with no creamer and sugar on the table. Entire breakfast including eggs, sausage and French toast was served cold. All the servers were walking around like zombies; slow and seemingly incoherent. A few drinks others in my partly ordered were incorrect. They didn’t have nearly as many customers as Cracker Barrel had in their parking lot, which I thought was going to be a plus. Now I see why. Overall just plain bad. Cannot recommend and will not be returning.

Things didn’t start out too well… On a Friday around lunch was very busy They ran out of burgers but didn’t let me know until 30 minutes later… Manager fixed the issue quickly and was very friendly. Because of how the manager handled the situation I will return to this establishment.

This was my first time visiting a Bob Evans in Maryland and the experience was fantastic! We came for breakfast on a Monday morning. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all, we were sat immediately at a very clean booth, and our server Linda was amazing! She has such a beautiful smile, and was not only super friendly but extremely attentive as well! Our drinks were never empty, and the food was filling and at a great price. Really though it was Linda that helped make this experience so great! Definitely ask for her if you come on a Monday or Tuesday morning!

Really like Bob Evans. Fantastic breakfast. Served all day! Service here is good. You can usually always get a table or seat at the counter. They offer take out and pick up orders on entire family meals. Decent prices and the food is good! I’ve never had a bad meal here. Must get the biscuits and gravy!

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here during the week day. There were very few customers and we were seated quickly. Service was great, but food was average. Our waitress was very courteous and congenial. The chef seemed to still be asleep as my eggs were runny when I ordered the skillet. I asked for turkey sausage and they still added pork sausage. This was not my first visit and I have had better food service in the past; but this was lazy service by the kitchen.

This was our first time eating at this Bob Evans and it was great. The hostess was warm and very friendly as was our server Sharon. We didn’t wait long at all for service and our food came quickly. Although my order was incorrect, they replaced it quickly and even gave me some extra red pots They were very busy(which is to be expected on a Saturday morning) but you could hardly tell as Sharon was very attentive.

The old Bob Evans really looks good since they renovate it.

First let me say that our server Debra was very friendly and entertaining. This was our first time eating inside a Bob Evans and she def. made sure it would not be our last. The food was tasty and the prices were average. Side note: I will say that the pot roast sandwich was not exactly what I was expecting as it had only a sparse amount of shredded carrots inside instead of cut carrots. It was good, but I doubt I would get it again.

Ate here for breakfast. Wife’s eggs were burned. Had to ask for silverware. Wife asked for a spoon for her coffee, never gets it. My favorite thing I like to do after a bad meal is to wait forever for the check. They were happy to oblige. So I go up to the cash register to pay and there is no one there. Another couple gets in line behind me. After 3 or 4 minutes someone walks up to the people behind me and says«I’ll take you over here and walks them to another counter. How about the people at the front of the line? So I now have to get in line behind the people who were behind me. Then I have to wait 5 more minutes while the lady in front of me complains about her horrible service. Joy. I must say I understand where she was coming from.

Good comfort food and great service. We usually go for breakfast on Sunday mornings but have gotten several dinners here too — all satisfactory. The place is clean and staff is friendly. What more can you ask for at such a reasonable cost.

The service wasnt all that great my waitress was very inattentive and i kept having to get up to get my own extras(which i thought thats why to go to a restuarant to get waited on!) But next time i will keep on going past this establishment & take my business to Cracker Barrel down the road.

The food here is horrible, even for Bob Evan standards. We have visited a few times(‘m a sucker, what can I say. So little decent options in this area & I always think it could not be as bad as last time… and it always is) and it is always terrible. Service is almost as bad as the food! The food is that bad! The 2nd Bob Evan’s in Waldorf is as bad as this one fyi. Avoid both

Thankfully I’m not afraid to walk out of a place. The staff was hanging out in front of the door smoking.(Yuk) we waited about 5-min to be seated, but never were. There was only one other couple in the place. When the smokers came in and walked right past us we decided enough was enough and walked out. What a shame. I grew up in OH, home of Mr. Bob Evans. He would be so disapointed in what his name has become. Oh well. Another once good chain falls from grace. Too bad. I hate to say it but this is typical.

I went to this Bob Evans because there was a wait at a nearby restaurant and was starving. The restaurant didn’t seem very clean, it took forever for our drink order to come to the table, and the food was HORRIBLE. I didn’t expect much to start with(because it’s Bob Evans), but my horrible expectations were exceeded. I ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the sauce it was soaked in was horribly sweet, rich, and sickening. The roll it was on was stale, and the fries that it came with were so disgusting. I will NEVER set food in a Bob Evans again and I hope that no one else does either. This place NEEDS to go out of business. The lack of healthy options is a whole other issue…

This place is OK, there are 2 Bob Evan’s in Waldorf, the old one by Sam’s Club, which is the one I’m reviewing, and one further south on 301 near the New Giant. I like this one better than the newer one, it’s like night and day. Anyway, at this B.E. service depends on the server, there are a few that are great and a few that are lacking but not so much so that you’d get up and leave. I’ve never had an issue with my meals, they were always well prepared and timely. The prices are pretty good and there is a decent menu selection. This particular B.E. has the best breakfasts. If you get there before 10am, you will have to wait, on any day. When in Waldorf, this is a great place to grab a decent meal at a fair price.
