Very nice campsite! Volunteers /park employees were very friendly. You can buy a bundle of firewood for $ 5.00 until 8pm. We were having a little bit of trouble starting a fire our first night there because we didn’t have much kindling and they were nice enough to give us a fire-starter at no cost. Our campsites were one of «those» sites where you could actually see see Hwy 101 from our tent. During the day? Sure, it’s a little noisy. It’s a pretty busy highway, especially in the summer. However, at night I honestly do not recall being bothered at all by the proximity to the highway. There are middle campsites that are farther away from the road if you’re a light sleeper. But even being so close to Hwy 101, I could still hear the ocean from our tent. You really are that close to the beach! And the beach itself is a really lovely one. Big and open and not crowded. Clean sites. Clean bathrooms. Clean(and hot) showers! We had a wonderful experience camping here.

spent four night in an ocean front site with the family. This is a great State Park and was very clean, although we stayed in our rv, the bathroom/showers were always super clean. It was also close enough that we went to the Alsea Bridge interpretation center in Waldport. The kids really enjoyed it and it was free.
