Got the chef’s salad with tofu and chicken teriyaki! Everything tasted very nice and the place is small and cozy. The hand rolls were also a nice treat. Will be back soon.

Had lunch here for the first time and this place did not disappoint. It is small and quaint, very friendly and best of all affordable. We recently moved into the area and have been trying sushi place after sushi place and I believe we may have just found our go to spot. My husband and I were more than satisfied with the quality of the fish. Our 3 year old son ate the salmon sushi like a champ. And I got a better look at the whole menu on the drive home and I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other rolls.(Yes I am pregnant and all I think about is food. Even after I eat!)

Came here for dinner and managed to get a table. The restaurant probably sits about 20 people and is BYOB. For dinner, the hubby and I shared the sashimi and sushi for two platter. As others have mentioned, great, fresh fish. We also had the beef gyoza and it was delicious. Definitely think those are homemade. At the end of our meal, we were given a complementary hand roll. HOMERUN! What a nice treat! Really enjoyed this place.

Overall average sushi spot. Choice of rice or California roll with Teriyaki box… I been accustomed of getting both. Salad is a little lack-luster… just lettuce and ginger dressing. The«pickled» bean sprouts are to be warned about. Not every one would be ready for the taste. Delivery and service is excellent and makes up for the short-comings.

I say it everytime I come here and I’ll now make it Unilocal official — there is no better sushi than Moshi Moshi. I’m from Waldwick, I went to school in New Brunswick, live in Hoboken, work in Jersey City, and go to school in NYC. And I’ve always, always, always come back to Moshi — there is nowhere else I’ve been to in all of NY and NJ that compares. It literally gets to the point where I’m not even craving sushi — I’m just craving Moshi specifically. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and I don’t see myself stopping, ever. The sushi is the best — always fresh. Their rice is on point. I never appreciated how good it was until I had rice at other sushi places that… weren’t. Their menu of special rolls is fun and adventurous and I feel like I can always find something that I’m craving. You literally cannot go wrong because everything is so good! It’s owned by two of the nicest people ever and I’ve definitely been guilty of ordering a roll of sushi just for that free hand roll :) I can’t say enough good things about Moshi. It’s a staple in my life. And if you can find a chance to go — then GO!

Nice people. Poor food. They could really do much much better. I am from out of town and imagine there is no local competition.

This is the best sushi I’ve found in the area with good prices. It is small inside, but nice to eat in. It is also great for takeout and they always give you a free handroll. The shumai miso soup is especially good.

One of the best sushi places I’ve been to not in New York or Japan. Fresh every time! They even give you a free hand roll at the end. Worth a visit for sure!

Came here on 11÷10÷15 to satisfy a sushi craving that has been clawing at me for the past week. We started out with the shrimp and vegetable tempura. Then, we had the Green River Roll, Mexican Roll, and the Pink Lady Roll. It was cold and raining, so we warmed up with some Honey-Citron tea. We were very happy to have the hand rolls at the end, it was a nice closing to the meal. The food was fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. The rolls were exactly as described in the menu and exceeded my expectations. The cost was very reasonable and comparable! Even though the place is small, the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. I would highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!

So yummy and fresh!!! They always give you a free hand roll at the end of your meal and if you are ordering take out they give you one while you wait. It tastes great! Good lunch special too. Delicious food with decent prices for the area. Parking lot/entrance can be a little annoying but it’s fine once you get used to it. They don’t serve alcohol here as far as I know. I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve been coming for almost 7 years now!

Best sushi around. Try to go at least twice a month. I would go everyday if I lived closer. Mt. Fugi roll is out of this world always fresh fish.

Pickled jalepenos in a yellowtail jalepeno roll? Try fresh jalepenos like every other sushi spot. Im sorry but this place does not deserve the hype

I really like this sushi place when I was working nearby. I still try to stop by when I’m up here in new jersey. The lobster rolls and sea dragon are still awesome as always(really the only place I will order special rolls from). Owner and the rest of the staff are still very nice and awesome. Definitely a place I will recommend still

Yum! So happy to have taken a chance on this little place. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be our new go-to sushi. Try the pink lady or the forest roll, as well as the mushroom miso soup. I’m still craving it and wish I had some leftover. BYO and in an unassuming strip mall – don’t let that dissuade you. Go and enjoy!

I have been to sushi places all over the area(even NYC and San Francisco) and nothing compares to Moshi Moshi. The spicy sauce is not just pink mayonnaise it is actually SPICY! Whenever I am in the area I make it a point to go and order something. My go-to rolls are the Pink Lady and Green River roll with spicy sauce on the side. I you ever wait for longer than three minutes they will most likely give you a free salmon hand roll which always takes the edge off me waiting in hunger. It is a BYOB place which is nice and they do have really good ice cream if you’re in the mood. I suggest the red bean ice cream; it tastes like strawberry but better! The place is a little small and the tables fill up fast but it’s definitely worth the wait.

This would be nowhere close to the best sushi you’ve had in your life nor is it worth traveling for, but it’s good for what it is, which is the«local sushi joint» that delivers. I would cry if I had a sushi joint back home that delivers. Anyhow, the SO and I ended up here after 6 or so hours of driving in a dangerous slush storm on I-87 from Montréal. The menu is quite extensive and can get overwhelming– I did not count but I swear there were about 40 roll combinations to choose from in addition to a full page of donburi and bentos, another of udons and appetizers. I tend to go for more«classic» dishes when I try a place for the first time to make sure I have a safe bet(ie: hard to mess up) and ordered an eel donburi. I was pleasantly surprised that the eel bowl came with avocado, but not so much about the surprise bonito seasoning layer beneath the eel. I’m rather particular about when and how I eat bonito and I didn’t like it in this dish– it overpowered the eel flavor. The sushi rice was also a tad too wet for which made me glad I didn’t order real sushi because mediocre rice is a deal breaker for me. I was pleased the dish was not drowned in eel sauce like many other places. The miso soup was quite standard, nothing my call home about and the salad dressing was on the bland side, with only iceberg lettuce(made me glad I didn’t order a la carte and dish the 4 or so dollars for a salad.) The server offered salmon skin hand rolls on the house at the end of dinner service which is quite generous of them. Once again, nothing really to squeal about but I don’t knock free food. Overall they’re pretty a run of the mill sushi joint and I can see where locals would love this place but for the rest of us, don’t break your pelvis scrambling off the interstate for this one.

My girlfriend and I decided to order sushi here one night. We went to the place to pick up our order and as we walked in we could tell the workers were cleaning up. We got there 10 minutes before they closed. Instead of giving us bad looks like any other place would do to customers who come in before closing they gave my girlfrind and I free hand rolls. The handrolls were amazing. We couldnt wait to go back to the house and try the sushi. Right when we got back we devoured all the sushi. This place has such fresh, tasty, and delish sushi. By far the best sushi around and we love sushi. We will definitely be coming back here

Looks like I visit them once a month, will need to increase my visits as I just love their food and service. They always offer you a hand roll at the end of your meal but while you wait to pick up your take out. Their special spicy tuna hand roll is fantastic, it has the right amount of kick. Everything is great, had the udon tonight and the crab avocado salad. Hmm is all I can say.
