I live in Colorado now and still crave the chipotle chicken sandwich. It’s just so damn good!

I ate here on a Friday in June of 2014, and today I called to make a reservation and they’re no longer open on Fridays??? Makes no sense! It’s a pretty good spot, but to close on a very happening evening is rather odd and disappointing. Our previous experience was alright. Service was a bit slow, but I’ll be hones, t we had a lot of wine, so it wasn’t a huge deal.

I eat here all the time and have not been disappointed yet! I highly recommend the Ave Maria, a beer-mary with a shot of tequila, it is delicious and surprisingly refreshing for how savory it is– can hardly go wrong. I am also a fan of the veggie patty made here, you can substitute it for any burger and its delicious. The bar tender, Roberto is very friendly and knowledgeable, makes excellent drinks and is happy to experiment with something new if you ask him. The service at green spoon needs to be looked at with perspective since it does get really busy. And the servers have their quirks, as we all do, but the do work hard and it shows :) Hope this helps!

Everything was great! Great flavor, service and a fair price. The only reason for not giving 5 stars? First place I ate in town today, and I was famished!

We’ve been here before and took my folks there for brunch last weekend and we all loved our selections. If you’re looking for a healthy option to a typical, sugar and fat-heavy meal, this is your place! Vegan and vegetarian dishes are available and they do offer great burgers.

I was in town for the holidays and it was a day where everyone was running around doing different things so we decided to meet up for dinner. and stopped by in the afternoon to make reservations for a party of 14 at 6:00. We picked the green spoon because of the Unilocal reviews. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We ordered a wide variety of food. Lots of burgers but plenty of other things also. So this is how it went. At 6:00 when we arrived there were only a few small groups — 2 to 4 people, there. We were a little slow ordering but it seemed to take a long time for food to arrive. The waitress apologized that not everything was ready yet when she brought out one burger order and the fish tacos order. They tried to wait for the rest of the food but when another serving came out the three of them started eating before their food got cold. Little by little the rest of the food started coming out, except for the Mac and Cheese that a couple of us had ordered. I’d say the time from when the first plate was served until I finally received my mac and cheese was close to half an hour. Most of the group had already finished eating by the time my order came. The only reason I wasn’t the last person eating was because three people in our group ordered a rice dish and they sent it back and re-ordered something else because the rice was so undercooked that it was crunchy. Their re-orders came after the rest of us had finished eating. By the time my mac and cheese arrived I was really hungry. It’s a good thing too, because otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to eat the half of my food that I managed to get down. I expect mac and cheese to at least show signs of being baked. This came in a bowl and looked more like cheese soup with pasta than mac and cheese. I had to eat it with a spoon. And their was very little cheese flavor. Mostly what I tasted was raw flour. It tasted like they didn’t cook the roux thoroughly before adding way to little cheese. I have no idea how they managed to get a gritty texture in the sauce. And spooning on some panko crumbs is not the same as baking them on top. Before this I would have never compared«real» mac and cheese to the stovetop«Kraft» version. All I can say is that I would have preferred Kraft boxed mac and cheese to this. And no, this not an exaggeration. It was that bad. Literally, Kraft mac and cheese is better than this. The person who ordered the fish tacos liked their food and the ones who ate hamburgers were happy. But then, all the burgers were over $ 10.00 and if you wanted potatoes instead of salad it was an extra $ 2.50. I did sit across from my brother who ordered a burger and is someone who never complains. He ordered it well done, but when I watched him cut it in half it was bright pink inside. I’m normally pretty forgiving and not overly picky. I don’t expect things to be perfect. I am a big fan of independent locally owned restaurants. But, I’m sorry. This was downright bad food. Would have had a much better meal at Applebee’s. We chose this place based on the Unilocal reviews. I want to know where those people really ate. If I ever have to eat here again I’m going to sneak in a Big Mac and only order a dinner salad. I won’t feel so bad if I can only eat half the salad.

lots of gluten free and veg options. food was good, but a bit overpriced for what it was. 2 appetizers, 2 burgers and a glass of wine was $ 52 before tax. nice ambiance and a very pleasant server.

Everything I have had here is so amazing. And I disagree with the previous comment about the seafood and pasta being bland. It has SOMUCHFLAVOR! It’s the only food in town I find myself craving.

Out of towners looking for the Cowboy game, but got a delicious breakfast instead. Service was friendly, intelligent and quick, and the food was hot and well presented. Yummy vegan and gluten free options with the gluten free toast being the best i’ve ever eaten. Turns out our waiter(possible owner?) just recently left the genius that is Jam in Portland, OR on Hawthorne. Some of the best breakfast you will eat… unless of course you make it to the Green Spoon in Walla Walla!

I had the meatless veg sandwich and it was super fresh! It had great flavor and the sprouts were amazing on it! The salad that went with it was fresh too! Great service and I loved the silverware and cups! So much I bought 4 cups!

The food was mediocre. I had the combination of all three tacos and the only reason I got through them was because I was very very hungry. The pasta that my friend ordered was okay and the fish was nothing great either. The service was fine. This is somewhere in the region between two and three stars.

Nice, remodeled space, that feels much more big city than Walla Walla. The beer menu was rather limited with only four on tap. Also surprised that the menu was mostly burgers. Had the ahi fish tacos(3 to an order). The corn tortillas were good and quite flavorful, but the fish was very overcooked, even after asking for it to be rare. The sriracha sauce helped liven things up. Service was too rushed. Nothing memorable in a positive way.

I met a friend here on Monday at noon. I got there at 11:58 and it’s a good thing because by 12:05 all the tables we full! The waitress came by about 30 seconds after my friend sat down and asked if we could order. I said we needed a few more minutes… 30 minutes later, after we asked someone if we could order, we got out order taken. The place was busy but it seemed like there were plenty of people to get it all taken care of. It was strange because our waitress walked by us several times taking care of other tables. I ordered the blta and got sprouts instead of the tomato. It was a decent sandwich but the wait to order was a pretty big flaw. On the side of the sandwich was a limp soggy green salad. The dressing was so bland and oily. I wish I could give this cute local business a shiny review. Unfortunately not the case. Not sure if/when I will try it again.

We are from Boise and mid Saturday afternoon, post airport winery tasting we were starving. Anxious to head downtown to the tasting rooms there, we stumbled across this delight. The front entry is inviting, bright happy colors. The interior has modern colors, but still plays here and there with the old buildings character. Bottom line, the service is great, the good delish and the gluten free bread to die for, better than any I’ve had in Idaho. Very generous portions, and very fresh salad. They have a full bar as well and beer on tap and a vast wine list. We had a minute to talk to the owner, Greg Smith. Compliments I felt, were due. He was involved on the floor and willing to help the staff any way possible. An owner that can get his hands dirty with the rest is a GOOD owner. We will be back for sure!

Word of advice: have reservations. We were greeted at the door with a «Do you have reservations?» As it was just 5 p.m. and the place had just opened for the evening, we assumed that we would be seated. Wrong. We’re also locals and usually eat next door at Olive, but tonight, we had decided to give Green Spoon another try(we were here about a year ago, but not significantly impressed to come back on our weekly«date night» until now). After being asked if we could eat and leave by 6 p.m., we were seated at one of those tall tables, which is definitely not a favorite, and no place to hang one’s coat. Also, this particular table was right by a door that went into storage. How do I know that it went into storage? One of the waitresses and one waiter went in several times. Since the last time we were here, the place has changed its arrangement of tables, and unfortunately, there are still marks on the wall where the paint wasn’t retouched. Now for the food. We had the ahi fish tacos and the curry with quinoa, and it came very quickly. Perhaps, it was because they needed us out of here before the 6 p.m. deadline or because there was only one other table of people. The fish tacos would have been acceptable except there was some type of sauce drizzled on the top that tasted too much like 1000 Island dressing(or what I remember 1000 Island dressing tasting like when I ate cafeteria food at college years ago). However, the two little dishes, one salsa and another one of avocado, were tasty – just no spoon to assist with placing the yummy sauces on the tacos. Yes, I could have asked for one, but where is the customer service? And, we wanted to make sure we made the deadline of getting out by 6 p. m! Would I have this dish again? Absolutely, hold the 1000 Island sauce(or whatever it was) and bring me a spoon, please. The other dish, the curry, produced a burst of flavor in the mouth. However, the same burst was there for every bite, and it got old after a while. The quinoa is good for you, just not exactly tasty, and the chicken was little over-cooked. The green onions added flavor to the dish. The mushrooms were plain white ones, and the dish would have been enhanced by using a different variety. We were out well before the required deadline.
