Went on a Saturday, live band. Only good thing about this place unfortunately this is also the bad thing. It is to small inside for a band. Couldn’t hear people talking to me the bar tenders are spread to thin and ordering a drink is a bitch if you’re on the balcony or even if you’re at the bar. screaming at the top of your lungs to get a drink should never be an issue.

Fun night life! Waitstaff was great as well as the live band. Went with a large group and had a blast!

We heard that Eddie Vedder was hanging out here ahead of the GOTR concert spurring rumors that PJ or Vedder Solo may play an impromptu concert for the faithful. Marcus Mumford and bandmates were also spending time here the days before their set on Saturday night. We started to make our way in when the joke of bouncer(yes tiny Sapolil in tinier Walla Walla apparently needed a bouncer) decided to try and flex his flab and try to be «big city» for a moment. He was completely rude and over the top when there was zero need to be, perhaps in an effort to impress his local buddy or the attractive city imports nearby. This chubby wannabe and his attitude toward some others immediately changed our minds so we decided we did not want to reward this establishment with our dollars since they decided to hire a buffoon like this(and there would’ve been quite a pretty penny that would have been dropped there). I can’t really comment on the drinks, food or atmosphere since the chubby«bouncer» turned us off due to his poor attitude toward people who didn’t deserve it. Sorry Walla Walla but you get one chance when a show like this comes to town. Plenty of other great places bent over backwards for the GOTR crowd. No reason to reward a place like this and their poor hiring practices.

Fun Fun Fun! What a great little venue! Great Music! Great Staff! Super affordable! The night we stumbled in there was a great blues band playing– Frank-O!- $ 5 cover. We tried to go back again the next night and they were packed to the gills and at capacity! Definitely a place to check out for some drinks/music!

I can’t say enough about Sapolil. When my boyfriend and I go out(which isn’t very often) this is our top spot! Great music — the bands that play at this location are fantastic! There’s even enough room to dance next to the band… or sit on the balcony and relax! They have a fun beer/wine/cocktail menu with specialty drinks and local wine. The owner makes lovely red wines — her dwelley syrah blend is my favorite! I recently had there beer mac n cheese — a hint of spicy, creamy and the provolone puts it over the top! YUM! Great nightlife, fun atmosphere and wonderful customer service!

Such a fun place to hang out and it actually stays open later! Notice in Walla everything closes EARLY. Not sure why but this place is guaranteed fun night life. Lol woman dance on the piano and bar!

A bar, this place provides wine tasting for Sapolil Cellars until mid afternoon. A very laid back bartender poured our wines in no particular order, and without much commentary. Friendly enough, they seemed to want to tell us about the tastes but really let us discover on our own and then answered questions. Their wines were pretty good but not sure the tasting room setup was ideal.

Stopped in after work on Monday to have a drink with a friend and was completely ignored. The staff was sitting at tables with friends/regulars instead of actually working. I sat with an empty wine glass in front of me for 30 minutes. If it has been busy I would have understood, but there was only 3 table occupied. We left and went to the Marc. Much better atmosphere and we received great service.

Oh, how I miss Salsa Sundays here. 2012 will go down as a great day for salsa dancers because this establishment had a great Salsa Sunday every week. My crew and I would drive the hour to WW to order some snacks, drinks and get our salsa dance on. The floor was a big slippery, but that just meant you wore running shoes instead of your dancing shoes. The atmosphere was nice. The dancefloor was smallish, but we all squeezed and accommodated. Then it stopped. It was a sad day. Oh Sapolil, why stop a good thing. Normally slow Sundays lead to a fairly packed place.

Came out to Walla Walla for Thanksgiving weekend with Sue and two of our other friends. Second time out to this part of Washington. I’m hoping the third time out will be during the warmer months as it was pretty damn chilly out here again. It was decided on Saturday night that we would head into downtown(about 2 miles from the house we were renting) to catch some live music. We knew that there would be a blues band playing and that the cover would only be $ 5 per couple. Good thing we were two couples or it might have gotten awkward. Once you enter, the bar is on your right. The popular spot in this joint although there is table service too. We didn’t realize that until after we found a table on the second floor. The place was packed on a Saturday night. The band was ok. I think I enjoyed it the most out of our group as I knew most of what they were playing. The facility itself wasn’t bad looking either although the second floor carpet looked a bit run down. Not a big deal. We did not have any of their wine, but I imagine people come here for that.

Checked it out twice in one night. Smart business operator. Photo gallery on walls, rotating. 5 – 7 pm was live piano aimed at older crowd. Packed. Later had dress up for Rocky Picture Show, which was packed. Whole different age group. I didn’t eat here, though pizza looked good. Service quite good. Place is narrow, but it works. Good nonalcoholic beer.

Real friendly staff, the bar is comfortable, and they have live music. We were there for the owners daughters birthday, had several glasses of syrah with a lasagna dinner, and danced a few numbers. Nice night out!

We enjoyed this place so much, we went twice during our short stay in Walla Walla. The owner is a fun character and the staff was excellent. They made us feel very welcome. We had some of the wine, which we enjoyed. The food we had was also good. Worth visiting.

We had been wine touring in Walla Walla with some friends and stopped by Sapolil Friday afternoon for one last tasting. We left 4−½ hours later. We had a ball! First, the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner, the bartender, the waitress all mad us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. This is not just a tasting room, but a full bar and restaurant as well, with entertainment, too. And it was the entertainment as much as anything that kept us there so long. I’m sorry I don’t know her name, but the piano player was simply amazing. She played mostly requests, and wasn’t stumped once the entire night. And she played without a break from 5 pm to about 8:00. Okay, this was not 20 something music… but it fit the crowd. The cocktails were great, the wine excellent and the food very well prepared and tasty. But the friendliness of the people and the music made this an evening I’ll not forget for a long time.

Was just okay. Service was lacking, it felt like the last thing the wait staff wanted to be doing was their job. The wines offered almost tasted all the same.

Atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Nice local pianist played. Ordered a chicken ceasar which was average at best. Limited scraps of chicken with bottled dressing and canned parm cheese. Wine taster was good and worth while. Service attentive at bar but wine knowledge was worse then mine… Which says something.

Our last tasting of the day. We also got dinner here. Honestly, I was tiring of wine by this time, but it was a nice tasting none the less. The dinner(I had spaghetti & meatballs) was good but somewhat overpriced for the portion size. Oh, also, we sat outside and moved the table around and snagged some chairs from other tables to fit everyone in and the staff didn’t care at all, they were quite nice. They also split the bill with no complaint.

My first visit to Walla Walla, I didn’t know what to expect. What a nice surprise! This is nestled in amongst a long list of merchants, you might accidentally walk by. From the outside, it looks teeny — but that’s deceiving. They offer a decent glass of wine, live music(including out-of-state bands), and surprisingly good food. The owners are lovely, and really make you feel comfortable and at home. I almost wanted to put my feet up… but that would have tipped over my wine and who wants that?
