Great food! We have been here several times and never been disappointed! Fun environment and even pull tabs! :) I highly recommend coming in, despite the dive bar exterior!

Came into the stone hut today for breakfast with some friends. We’ve all been here plenty of times before. Today the service was VERY slow. Which, seems to always be. But that’s why we order drinks right? Anyways the drinks came at a semi normal amount of time, but then we ordered food. It was almost like the waitress forgot to ring in our order. After about 45 min she told us there was some trouble in the kitchen but yet a table across from us who arrived AFTERUS had got their food didn’t make sense. So about 15 minutes later our food comes. The food tasted just fine, except ALL of our bacon was like rock hard and burnt to a crisp. No one said anything because we were all so annoyed and starving from the hour long wait. We ate everything besides the bacon. I will be back, and hopefully next time the bacon will be better and the service will be a little faster.

Great place. Very friendly server. Cold beer. Awesome hamburgers. I had the June special California burger. My husband had the Cougar cheeseburger. Definitely will be back.

Traveling for business. This place hit the spot. Not too over done on anything. Let the waitress order the meal and it came out perfect. Great Stone IPA, French dip that was not greasy for a change and not over loaded with onions. The fries OMG you looking for something different than the standard frozen bag of fries get the cactus fries. I will come back every time I’m in town.

They do good bar food, with some of the best burgers and meaty sandwiches I’ve had in town. The beer selection isn’t amazing, but it has enough micro-brews to satisfy me. Of course, being a sports bar, it can get crowded during games, and the parking lot is a bit small.

I had only been to this place one other time for a drink and found it horribly overpriced after scanning the food and drink menus, but decided to make another visit after an invitation from friends. My girlfriend and I arrived after our men since we had been busy at her bridal shower. While waiting for us, they munched on burgers, fries and drank two beers a piece. As I looked over the house drink menu, I again decided that their«specialty» drinks were a bit overpriced and opted for a Beam and Coke, which I must say probably had less than a half ounce of liquor in it. No big deal. I wasn’t there to get hammered. My girlfriend ordered one of the $ 6 house drinks which wasn’t made right. The menu indicated crushed lime, but instead came with crushed lemon. No big deal. Just an oversight by the bartender. Since we were famished and had only eaten cupcakes for the last hour, we decided to get two«half-order» appetizers to save on money. She ordered onion rings; I ordered gizzards. It then struck me as odd that the waitress asked if I wanted my gizzards crispy or not. Is there any other way that they should be cooked? Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really dig soggy fried food. We were then given a choice of sauce; I asked for blue cheese. I must say that these were some of the tastiest gizzards I had ever eaten, but I had to get up to exchange the ranch I received instead of the blue cheese I ordered. Again, no big deal. Just an oversight by the servers. After one more beer a piece for the guys, another house drink for my girlfriend(again wasn’t made right), and one more delicious Coke with a splash of Beam for myself, we asked for our tab. Since our friends were soon to be married, we offered to pay the majority of the bill and were expecting something in the range of $ 65-$ 70 combined only to open-mouth gape at our bill of $ 97. Maybe this is normal for the Stone Hut, but I was stone cold surprised. After carefully inspecting the items on the bill, I found that the beers were $ 4.50 a piece(really?), my Beam and Cokes were $ 6 a piece(really??), and the guys’ burgers and fries were over $ 14 a piece(really???). No big deal. Just a local business trying to make ends meet, right? All in all, everything that I had to tell myself, «No big deal» about, really left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m a local, but there are much better options in this town. Needless to say, I won’t be back. I will say that the waitress was very pleasant, apologetic about the mishaps, and was well-deserving of the $ 10 tip she was given. Just because a business feels they need to overcharge their customers, doesn’t mean good help should go un-rewarded.

Recently moved to the area for work and love trying new restaurants! We tried 2 different pizzas(the man and garlic chicken) and the jalapeño popper appetizer. The pizzas both had a smokey flavor that over-powered everything else on it(possibly the bacon?) and made it difficult to even finish a slice. For what you get it is VERY overpriced and they charged a $ 1 for every item on the to go order! Although it is close to our house we will probably not eat here again, much better options in the area!

My favorite spot in walla walla. Great drinks and great food. Nice atmosphere. AMAZING bloody marys! Always clean and friendly. Be sure to sign up for the text club. They send you free menu items and reward loyal customers.

Had the fish/chips & chowder special. The fish was over fried and similar to a high school cafeteria meal. They used to serve Ivars chowder but have changed to a chowder that is awful. The drinks were good however. Later that evening I got very ill. I attribute it to the weird tasting chowder. Let’s just say I won’t be eating there for awhile and will not EVER recommend the fish.

Service was slow, and it wasn’t busy either. Ordered drinks and received the wrong ones, and had to remind waitress for things. Quality was OK, general pub fare, and just so so. This place has potential but seems to cater to its local patrons. I tend to use Unilocal exclusively for trying new places as I think a lot of people do so I think this place would be better off to be more friendly. A pleasant waitress would have given this place an extra star.

Once upon a time the stone was a great place to go for drinks or food, that is no longer the case. Like this morning the food was under cooked and blah to the point I feel queasy. Such a disappointment.

In one of the weirdest turns of events, it has become evident that this is one of my grandparents favorite places. And even more shocking, I quite like it as well. Common ground — who’d have thought? I’ve been here a couple times now, and the obvious thing to like is the beer. Especially for a small town like Walla Walla, they have a pretty good tap selection. They’ve got 12 handles, most of which are craft/local options. The first time I was there, I had a couple different beers from WA and OR; last time, I had some Stone IPA(it was on special). Considering I wasn’t expecting anything more exotic than«Blue Moon» on draught, What actually keeps me coming back with my grandparents is that the food is pretty good. Mind you, it’s pub food, but it’s tasty. I usually order a burger, and they are damn tasty. Completely unhealthy and will probably kill you within 5 – 7 years, but tasty. They also give you the option of tater tots, which is never bad. Service is hit and miss. Sometimes it’s a little slow, but I’ve never had particularly bad service. Decent place to stop if you’re meandering around Walla Walla. Good food, good beer, and it helps you avoid the myriad of chains in the area.

Got the burger and beer deal for 6 $ and my fiancé said it was the best burger he had in a long time! Cajun chicken wrap was awesome-tons of veggies and meat & not full of gross sauce! Fabulous service. Def will be coming back here!

While I’ve heard good things about this place, I’ve been unable to have much of an experience here. I’ve tried twice and both times I and my party felt so unwelcome in the cramped, crowded space that we’ve walked right back out. A little acknowledgment from the staff would have gone a long way.

Sarah is/was a grumpy, rude bartender. We went out for New Years, around 7 o’clock, to avoid the craziness that was sure to ensue later in the evening. We went in to order some food(as I heard it, their Ruben is amazing) and a couple drinks. My wife asked what kind of fun shots that Sara would recommend, and we got a frat house version of options.(Ex. Jaeger-Bombs, straight vodka, etc.) The clientele didn’t suggest a frat house bar, but the attitude that Sara was giving off, along with her crap alcohol suggestions, certainly gave a contradictory feeling. We spent about 3 minutes looking at the drink menu, before deciding to just get a beer. Ordering the beer felt like an inconvenience to Sara, even though they weren’t that busy. I should mention that they had plenty of staff to accommodate the current number of patrons in the bar. Moving along, we then looked at the food menu for about 5 minutes, decided what we wanted, and sat there for another five to ten minutes, with no acknowledgment from Sara. Hoping to get a better server, we told Sara we were moving from the bar to one of the open tables further from her, as well as the cold wind coming in the front door. We then sat there for another 20 minutes, with our food menu, with none of the staff even acknowledging that we were there. Made eye contact a few times, but no one stopped by or asked if we needed anything, even as our beers were getting low. Also, this new spot we decided to sit is about 8 feet from the bar, directly across from the taps, and perfectly visible to Sara from behind the bar. My wife is adamant about going back some other time, because she loves their Ruben, but I’ll let her suffer the horrific service. No sandwich is worth that. I thought Red Monkey had the worst service in town, but this tops it!

«This place started as a bar, but became known for it’s food so they expanded their dining area to accommodate the patrons coming in just for the food.» This was told to me by a local long-time resident and family member of mine. If they made the bar any bigger they wouldn’t have room for parking for all those potential customers. I wouldn’t have gone into the place looking at it from the outside; they’ve got a slobbering neon bulldog on their sign and it doesn’t necessarily look appealing at first. But once inside the wait staff are prompt and friendly enough. I had the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Burger with onion rings on the burger. It was delicious and hit the spot. I would go back again if I were in town.

Every time my mom and I come to Walla Walla we usually end up coming to the Stone Hut with our family. This is a bar and grill that has pretty good food and beer and they usually have some sport on the televisions. It can get quite busy at meal times and in the evenings it can get a bit loud and attract a crowd that is more rowdy. We usually partake in sandwiches and pulltabs. Their sandwiches are pretty solid. This time I branched out and got a pizza. The veggie pizza was to die for. If you are a lighter eater the pizza can easily make two meals. There was a layer of toppings and cheese thicker than the crust and yet the pizza was tasty and not soggy or floppy. The thin crust held up the toppings! My family members were all pleased with their sandwiches as well. The service this time was pretty good but it can be hit or miss. I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for some good bar fare.
