We stopped in for breakfast and it was amazing. Rather simple items, but executed properly. Food came out quickly, and our server, Leslie was incredible. She was very attentive to our needs and made sure we didn’t go without anything. We will definitely be back!

The«owner» is the rudest business man I have encountered. The hostess sat me at a table and my son was to be there shortly. The restaurant was 2/3’s full so plenty of open tables when the hostess sat me. A gal came up to me and said is your party all here and I said my son will be here in a few minutes. She told me I had to get up and told her I was seated here by the hostess and would not get up. She got the«owner» supposedly who told me in front of all his customers that I had to get up which at that point I said I would not because there are plenty of open tables and your hostess sat me here. He was so rude. I was shocked he had the nerve to tell me to get up after his hostess sat me at the table. SHAMEONHIM!!!

This is my second time here. First visit, could not believe how clean and how thoroughly the bus boy cleaned up after each customer. The food was a delight with new and different ideas for breakfast compared to the typical small town diner. Lulu’s is going to be a regular haunt for my whole family!

My family and I were in there on a sunday morning around 11 am on June 5th2016. We requested a seat for a party of 5 and were told by the manager that we could not be seated until our entire party had arrived. We were 3 people waiting for the other 2 to come along and explained to her that they were 2 minutes away from arriving. With a bad attitude, she refused to seat us and started seating many different families before us. We are long time costumers of Lulu’s and will not be going back there again because of the managers bad attitude and unfair policy.

My family and I eat LuLu’s carry-out once a week. They are the most AMAZING greek salads which I know sounds really strange since greek salads are usually not something to write home about but trust me! There is something in the dressing that makes the greek salads so tasty and delicious! The lettuce and veggies are always fresh and presented so nicely, the pita bread is also very fresh and soft, and the containers they come in are very convenient. They use the plastic containers instead of the styrofoam that most places use which keeps things clean. This place fills up with high schoolers around 2pm or 3pm or whenever they get out of school, I wouldn’t recommend going there at that time but any other time of the day if fine. They also get very busy for breakfast on the weekends.

The first time I went, service was okay, not outstanding but good enough. Today, the waitress mocked my order with a full on eye roll, then never returned– had someone else take over the table while she stood behind the counter and talked to other co workers. The second waitress wasn’t «friendly» but good enough. Greek salad is phenomenal! The salad dressing and amount of feta is just sooooo good! My first visit the lady asked if I wanted everything on it and then to substitute chickpeas in place of the peppers and olives I decided not to get. I hate being wasteful and never eat them, so I thought this was an excellent idea— but this was what got the eye rolling and disgusted sigh out of my second visits order. Chili cheese fries are great and enough for 3 people. Sweet potato fries are awesome, maybe minus the horseradish dip. I’ll return because the Greek salad is the best I’ve ever had… but hopefully I will never have that waitress again and it will be these friendly people that all the other reviews have!

It’s a little expensive but one of the best coney islands I have been to. The staff is super friendly and the food is good. I would just avoid getting a salad there. I find they never put enough lettuce in it. Best chicken quesadilla though!

Based on tonight’s carryout, I give 5 stars. This was my first time trying Lulu’s and it won’t be my last. Tina(manager or owner) was extremely friendly and helpful. She promptly took my order, talked me into getting a slice of pie(choc cream… yum) and even threw in some soup for us to try. I ordered a chicken Greek salad(LOVE the pink greek dressing!) and chili fries, both were excellent and my husband ordered a gyro and onion rings and he very much liked his gyro. Onion rings were fine. The chicken noodle soup was very yummy! The place was clean and everyone seemed friendly. Looking forward to eating here again. Maybe for breakfast next time

If you can get a table, you won’t be disappointed. Lulu’s is really tasty, which is probably why they are always so busy. Sadly, numerous times we’ve had to go elsewhere. A toddler just won’t wait 20 minutes for a table! If you do get a seat there are plenty of good things to choose from off the menu. The coney dogs are very good(though the best come from Nick and Tony’s), the fries are fantastic. This is definitely a go-to spot for breakfast. The omelets are on point and the fried potatoes in place of the standard hash browns are a step above. I’d skip the patty melt, nothing exciting, but the wraps are really good and big(even better with onion rings). What I really love are the specials. In particular the lasagna they serve on Thursdays during the winter and the egg salad on croissant on Mondays. There are a million coneys in the area, but LuLu’s is definitely a step above the rest.

I got takeout tonight the gyro was drenched in sauce, the salad lettuce was not cut at all, the dressing was bitter, and the chicken was flavorless– I have eaten here many of times. And tonight may be the last

I definitely do not see why this place has great reviews! My wife and I had to rush home to our facilities. I guess people will give a great review if the food is cheap and has no taste! What ever they are calling cheese, it’s not! How hard is it do french fries? I’m not going into details but I will never be returning to that establishment. If you like cheap, no tasting food this is your best choice!

If a place is packed and there’s a line to wait for a table, you can tell it’s a good place. Lulu’s is just that! Went here on a whim and am SO happy I did! It was packed when I walked in, but since it was just me I was able to sit at the counter. My waitress was very friendly and suggested the Brioche French Toast which was on special. It was topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar and it was delicious! It also came out pretty fast which was nice. I will definitely be visiting again!

Pros: Great value, excellent food, friendly and very attractive waitstaff. plenty of parking and a great, family vibe. Cons: None come to mind. The best breakfast place on the west side of Detroit’s suburbs. Period.

We carry out food from Lulu’s often at work and every single time I pick up our food this place is packed. I struggle to find a parking spot! Lulus is awesome. The staff is so nice and friendly. They know me by name because we go there so often. It’s not your ordinary Coney Island. My favorite is their Greek salad. It’s so fresh unlike other Coney’s where you’ll see a few wilted or brown pieces of lettuce. All of their soups are also delicious. Their gyro meat is also very juicy and tender. We will continue to come here often!

Lulu is really a yummy place. They have a fantastic and caring staff. Unlike any ‘chain’ coney island. They are always busy so they’re doing something right. They have every comfort food and great breakfasts. I recently had the yogurt parfait which was healthy, yummy and beautiful. I took a photo I was so impressed.

Another coney island withing a 3 mile radius of all the others. Michigan is great for that. However it is the restaurant itself and the staff that sets them apart. Lulus is very clean. Its got a little bar for the singles coming in for a quick bite and it has long tables enough to seat 6. The staff was really friendly and talkative. By talkative I mean that rather than just the typical server lingo, they acted like people which is a nice change. Even the manager came over to make sure our food and service was good and if we needed anything. We had about a 5 minute convo with him and when he left he did the same thing with almost every table. The food came out and everything was huge portions. Very cheap, hige portions. It was delicious though. Everything was great.
