The food at chick-fil-a is always the same — no surprise there. There’s a reason we come here at least once a week, and since it’s the only one even remotely close to us, it’s the one we always return to. That being said, it’s our least favorite of all the chick-fil-a restaurants we’ve ever been to. Since it’s hard to screw up the basics, I won’t comment much on the food except today that never in my life have I seen a smaller dollop of whipped cream on a CFA shake than every time we get one at this store. A quarter sized dollop? What gives? Isn’t it customary to fill up the whipped cream to the top? Every other one we’ve ever been to does this. Whenever we come here during dinner hour, it’s a madhouse. No surprise there because, hey, it’s CFA and the food freaking rocks. But on more than one occasion(including right now) there was one lone cashier for a huge line of people. This isn’t a snow day, and there doesn’t seem to be much of an explanation. That’s poor planning on the managers part and when customers have been waiting over 20 min it doesn’t create the best of experiences. Speaking of customer service, not sure what the deal is with this location but it totally fits the CT vibe of never going above and beyond in this area. I’m from CT so it takes one to know one, and while we generally prefer being left alone, when stepping into a place that is nationally known for its southern hospitality and general overuse of «my pleasure»(which I love, by the way), it’s a bit of a let down to never once be asked if the meal is good or if we need refills. In conclusion, you can’t really ever go wrong with the food here. It is what it is and it’s why the place is always packed. But if you are the GM of this location, you would do yourself a huge favor by training your staff more thoroughly on customer service and by generally looking at the holes and gaps in efficiency and finding remedies for them. For that reason, this particular CFA only gets 1 star.

It’s s typical fast food restaurant but clean and efficient. I try to avoid eating at these place but if I have to… I take my kids and come here. The chickens always good and we love the waffle fries!

Went to see a show at the Toyota oaksdale theater and figured this would be the best, cheapest, and quickest option available. Little did we know that the place really does have a cult following and really is outrageously delicious. The line was almost out the door and the dining area was packed. My fiancé and I didn’t really understand that they bring your dine in order to your table for you, so we may have seemed inappropriately dumbfounded when we had our food brought over a the plastic tray. The food was delicious and we left with additional waffle fries because we were temporarily addicted, albeit stuffed. The only reason I can’t award this place 5 stars is because you can distinctly taste bigotry in the chicken sandwiches.

Used to really like the chicken sandwiches here but I guess I got sick of em. Now just the thought of their chicken and their fries grosses me out lol. Anyone else feel the same?

Not sure what all the hype is about with this place. To me this is an upgraded KFC. Food was good and service was fast. Nothing spectacular to me.

My family and I were looking for someplace that we haven’t tried before. We are rapidly growing tired of all of the typical fast food chains that focus on the assembly line mentality of getting people in and out as fast as they can and making money while letting customer service and food quality suffer. We decided to give Chick-fil-A a try and are definitely glad we did. Even though the line was out the door, we were able to order pretty quickly(within 3 minutes). I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich and a Cobb Salad, my wife ordered a Grilled Chicken sandwich and a side salad, and my son got Spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Both of them ordered a shake. I was pleasantly surprised when we were told that they would bring the meal to our table(I guess that’s how the line moves so quickly). The food was a little bit more expensive that I was expecting but after tasting the food I didn’t seem to mind anymore. The staff was extremely pleasant. The only minor issue that we had was they forgot the the shakes, but that was very quickly rectified. Overall the food and service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

This is a typical Chic-fil-A, not that I’m an expert. I tend to avoid fast food unless on a road trip. We stopped in here for just that, on our road trip from Boston to NYC for a quick bite. I looked up the secret menu for Chic-fil-A on the way… You can tell I starving! I ordered the fried chicken club which subs in the fried chicken for the grilled on the club sandwich. It was pretty good and the staff was very accommodating, and even a bit excited by my order. If you eat in, they bring you your order and not only that, the owner himself bussed our table. He wouldn’t even let us take our tray away and this was late on Friday night. We heard him asking a customer how his meal was, and the customer asked him if he was the manager, and he said, he’s the manager, the owner, the busser, the dishwasher, the janitor, etc. Now that’s dedication to your staff and really sets the example for your team! I was really impressed. Even the other customer asked if the pay was high since all the staff members seemed happy to be there, which they did. The customer service here is really impressive!

This was my first time eating lunch at a chick fila and I have to admit that if I was blindfolded I wouldn’t be able to tell what I was eating. The chicken sandwich had absolutely no flavor at all. I have no desire to ever go back to this restaurant again.

This is one of only two CfAs in CT, so don’t be surprised at the large crowds. Because of that service was understandably a bit slow. However, the workers gave us special individual service, walking our food to our table and checking to see how we liked things. There was a small mistake with our order, and despite the crowd, the correct thing we had ordered was brought out to us in just a couple minutes. If you love Chick-fil-A, you won’t be disappointed when you come here.

Good: grilled chicken anything is amazing. Salads so fresh and not even remotely fast food like. Servers and cashiers are very courteous, very Barbie like. Bad: pretty pricey, but I guess there is a cost to quality. Also, maybe because they are all so young, they seem a bit clueless. I had to wait over 20 minutes inside for a meal. Then, I get home and find they didn’t put the dressing in. I have gotten the same salad three times and never has it had the right accompaniments! Unfortunately it’s still delicious so I won’t let that piss me off. Just make sure to always double check on the kids. Yum.

The service here is certainly excellent and each person I dealt with was super accommodating and kind. I also didn’t mind the setup or waiting a bit for the food. However I have to say Meggan A. kind of hit the nail on the head with her review because the food just was not very good. It was maybe slightly better than average fast food, so I feel it deserves the 3 stars which is «A-OK» according to the Unilocalometer. The spicy chicken sandwich just kind of tasted like fry oil and the bun was way too thick for the sandwich. The milkshake was weirdly icy. Like others mention, the waffle fries were a bit undercooked. So, I dunno. This isn’t a negative review. All I really want to say is that if you are at home with your children or the guy or girl that you love, just spend some time and cook with them. Fry up some chicken, heat up some fries, whatever, because I guarantee you that it will taste better than this stuff.

It’s chick fil a. not much I need to add to the comments. Southern deliciousness that we finally have in our State! The franchise has improved their service since the opening last year, def. more speedy. My go to is the spicy chicken, on the multigrain bun(yes special order). The special bun real ads some substance, and maybe some nutrition? Oh well. Make sure you have the chick fil a sauce with your fries, my refrigerator always has some in it just in case.

Maybe it was the hype that had me expecting more. I’ve always heard about Chick-fil-A and I finally had my chance. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich while I went for the fried chicken deluxe. The line moved fast, good customer service and the food was hot. I took my first bite. Juicy fried goodness. Nothing I’ve never tasted before. Nothing out of this world. Just a well made fast food chicken sandwich. My wife felt the same way. The waffle fries tasted great. I might be a little biased on that simply because I love me some waffle fries. I just couldn’t help but think, this is it? This is what people wait in extremely long lines for? Maybe it’s nostalgia or a connection to the south that I’ll never understand. Not a bad place at all. Decent food and good service.

Not your typical fast food place… First off, employees are very friendly and polite. Often they’ll welcome you as you walk in the door. The friendliness extends to the order taker. If you are eating in, you place your order, sit down and your food is brought to your table. A really different approach versus the other chain, quick service establishments. I’m a big fan if the Spicy Chicken Deluxe. Each time, it delivers. It’s cooked perfectly, has a good amount of spice and it’s not oily or greasy. Delicious! Minor gripe: the fries were a tad underdone for my liking last time. When they first opened, it was extremely busy here. Most likely because there aren’t many in the area. It’s not as crazy as it was before, but you can expect a line at peak times. The staff does well with keeping things moving. I usually try head over before the lunch rush. It worked well last time I was in the area.

I don’t get the hype. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and some of my wife’s fried spicy chicken deluxe. I heard good things about their chicken and we all know how bad grilled chicken is at other fast food places and I must say this was the same as the others. A little dry and rubbery. The spicy chicken was good but no better than Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich. Waffle fries tasted like every other French fry and if you get a woody because it is waffle cut than so be it. Service is friendly, place is clean(it’s also only a couple of months old) food was just standard fast food no complaints other than I thought the chicken would be better than the other fast food and I didn’t see it.

Look, politics aside, this is the best fast food chicken I’ve had period. This stop is pretty easy on and off back on trips down the Merritt. I even adore the small ice cubes for the way they cool. Nuggets or gtfo.

Service was extremely friendly, quick, and overall just far superior to any other fast food chain I’ve been to. The staff was awesome, and if this review was based just on their employees they’d get 5 stars. Other than that, I don’t get the hype. Don’t get me wrong, the chicken was good. It was«fresh» and cooked well — definitely better quality than McDonalds or Burger King, there’s no doubting that. The fries were okay, again, in the sense that they were«fresh» and a little undercooked. I know it’s fast food and I wasn’t expecting a culinary masterpiece, but the food had absolutely no flavor. And I was drunk. Chicken nuggets are always the best food ever when you’re drunk, yet I was still unimpressed. If I’m going to eat garbage food, I want to eat garbage food that has flavor, yanno? Even the sauces didn’t help, the food was just boring. That’s all I got. I’d be willing to give them another whirl, but it’s rare that I eat fast food so it’ll probably be another couple of years before I find myself back here.

Trips to Chick-fil-a are why I looked forward to my trips south to visit my parents. I never thought their bible-thumper red state style would make it to Connecticut but I was wrong. Let the hysteria die down a bit and enjoy some effin DELICIOUS chicken. The southern hospitality type attitude is pervasive here, which more places should emulate. Fast food places who employ people who act like crotchety douchecanoes aren’t cool. Service is a bit slow still but I think with time they’ll speed up. Give me nuggets, waffle fries, and honey mustard and I’m a happy camper.

What… is… all… the… FUSSABOUT?! It’s a chicken sandwich. A bun, a piece of pretty decent chicken, and two pickle slices. The waffle fries are different than regular fries because they are shaped like waffles. Mind blown… This is the new America, where people go absolutely gaga over a brand spanking new way to have the same mediocre, nutritionally-bereft crap food at reasonable prices. It also happened when Sonic had its own Central Connecticut honeymoon a few years back. People went insane with anticipation, the lines were impossibly long, and the reviews were such that you would think they were for Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. By now you already hate this review, because it is as grumpy as it is contrarian by its very nature. But I assure you that the public will eventually return to its usual sensibilities. I’m sure I’ll have Chick-fil-A again, though probably no less than a year from now, because it’s just not worth the wait. «You just don’t get it.» No, I get it. It’s a solid sandwich. But I’d much rather go to a local fried chicken place and get my fix there… for a similar price too.

Nice new location. CFA is investing its resources to deal with the huge business of the opening. The line was long but it moved very quickly and the food was delivered lightning fast. Because it’s new it is very clean. The staff are seemingly well trained and for a business that’s been open less than a week, they have clearly gotten their staff on the right page. I heard no complaints from any guest during our visit.
