Calvin Craig does our bi-​monthly yard maintenance already, so when we decided to upgrade our backyard we asked for an estimate and asked him to do the job. Though it took a couple of days more than planned, the crew did an excellent job. They built a new retaining wall with a nice easy access to the new terraced area, brought in tons of good soil to revitalize the garden and now we have a very functional and beautiful addition to our garden. The crew was competent, agreed to our last minute small changes and gave us some good ideas on how to improve on the original plan. We are very happy and satisfied with overall end product. Well done!

I purchased my home a little while ago and the backyard was a little overgrown so I did not spend too much time outside.
I contacted Calvin Craig to see if he could help me out with my backyard.
He came over and we discussed what was possible. Calvin listened to what I wanted, asked what colors and plants I liked, and took into account how much shade was in my backyard. A few days after our discussion I was provided an itemized bid and an estimated completion day.
I decided to hire Calvin to have his crew put in a redwood deck, a decomposed granite pathway from the backyard throughout the side entrance, plant dog friendly foliage, and re-​sod the back yard. They had to clear out quite a bit of overgrowth and rework the sprinkler system.
The work was started and completed on time.
The crew cleared out their things and picked up after themselves everyday before leaving for the day (—that I was very impressed by because they were VERY clean — for working in dirt).
There was flexibility on what was done from whether I liked the mulch that was chosen to what type of railing I wanted on my deck.
There were a couple of items that I had to call them back on the following week, which happens… and they were out here the next day to resolve the issues.
I now spend more time in my backyard and have been enjoying my new deck. I am very happy with how the backyard turned out. I only wish I had not limited the work to the area that I did… if I decide to work on the other areas or on my front yard in the future, I would not hesitate in calling Calvin again.
