My friends and I ordered the Nachos with guac, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and jalapeños and it was alright. It tasted decent but there wasn’t much of a wow-factor to the dish. While it satisfied my Mexican food craving, it definitely was not a mind-blowing culinary experience.

It’s cheap and it’s the closest to real mexican food in Walnut Creek. Their tacos are awesome. At just under $ 2 a pop you can try most of them in one sitting: Carne asada, pork, chicken, and lengua. The seafood tacos(fish and shrimp) are a bit pricier. I tried the pork, lengua and chicken – all three were excellent. The first two were served as corn based soft tacos, and they double up the tortilla for each one. The chicken was served in a crispy corn taco with some cheese on top. The meat for all three was juicy and tender, it nearly melts in your mouth! My girlfriend got the shrimp fajitas. It was a generous portion of shrimp. The color of the guac and lettuce seemed a bit bleached out but everything tasted just fine. I’m definitely coming back to try more. Burritos, tortas, quesadillas, etc.

2 stars is generous! We were waiting on our daughter and her friends to finish their Kitchen Sink next store so we decided to grab some food to go from here. I’d have had better tasking food asking for ice cream to go and having to walk 10 miles in 100 degree weather before taking a bite! Steak burrito — hello, did I just ask for a Burrito or did you forget to put in ANY steak? Yea, not cutting it there. Mushy refriends, no flavor to the rice and the cheese was as abundant as the steak! Steak chimichunga — even if its misspelled, it probably tastes better than what they served my wife. Slop with no flavor is giving it credit. Sorry folks but with soo many other choices in WC, please find take a chance on them. I didn’t think to Unilocal this place because we were right there, it was WC, and its hard to go wrong with Mexican food. Boy, did I learn my lesson! Oh the salsa bar… yea, you might want to get some lids for those little plastic containers. That’s for offering hot sauce with no way to take it home to enhance the blandness! Next!

This was the first time ordering food from this place and I’m sorry to say that food was not very good. my co-workers and I order the super nachos. They had way to many beans, had very little cheese and meat was scarce. Disappointed spending $ 40.00 for this food. We used delivery service which was the only good thing delivery was on time.

On the busiest day of the year for a Mexican restaurant these guys did a fantastic job. We ordered two trays of hard taco’s and enchiladas, rice, beans and all the fixings a couple days before for a pickup at 12:00 noon. Got there and it was a bit of wait for the food but under the circumstances, very acceptable. Food was very good, somewhat Mex/American but fresh and very tasty. Thank you Louis and staff for a very good meal !!

Prices are reasonable. Most authentic place around in the lamorinda area. Never disappoints me.

I had a chorizo chimichanga today and it was incredible. I actually really like the atmosphere here since it’s not as high end as the rest of the places in this area. My wife also enjoyed her bean, cheese, and rice burrito. For a couple currently on a budget this place is nice on the wallet. There is also a nice outdoor seating area that you can enjoy. I’m not sure why this place got only 3 stars, but it’s worth checking out

I won’t come here again. The people didn’t care about their job. Their food was ok. I ordered asada tacos and Jamaica and I would rather go to El Fuego across the street or Chipotle down the street. Don’t waste your time or money

A 2.5 rating it is. Unfortunately, this place didn’t impress all that much. My personal gauge for Mexican food are the fish tacos, and I don’t know that this is the place to get them. The place across the street from them that is closed now, served excellent fish tacos with fresh ingredients. The«relatively» tasty things that I tried here are their chicken flautas(based on another Unilocal reviewer’s recommendation), and their freshly-made«warm» churros(so good!). Another Unilocal reviewer here recommended their breakfast menu item: huevos rancheros. Never had that before but I think she is right — it probably is one of the few well-seasoned and tasty items on their menu. It was pretty greasy, but tasted good anyway. Service was ok — they seem to be hard-working people, going about their job. Probably the best items on their menu are the breakfast items.

the roaming cat finds himself in Walnut Creek once again. I have to say, I usually tend to stay away from areas with«trendy» restaurants as I am one who likes to find the cool little hole in the wall places where looks can be deceiving. but today, I was pulled along by a good cat friend, and we happened across this place and decided to give it a try. the place has your stereotypical«USA Mexican food» kind of feel, with menu choices you would expect to see in such a place. I decided to order a veggie burrito and some chips. the chips were kind of bland and didn’t seem very fresh I have to say. not too big of an issue, but from the many other places of the sort I have been to, I’m used to getting warm and fresh chips. the meal arrived very quickly, and I was happy with the burrito. It was pretty large and the ingredients tasted fresh, and of course it was served in your everyday wrap of foil. I would say that this is a good option if you are looking for something on the cheaper side around the Walnut Creek area, but it isn’t anything too outstanding from other such places, but that said, definitely not bad at all! *chirp!*

I always enjoy the food here and the service. Food is comparable to some other Mexican restaurants and its reasonable. If something is not right they make it right. I enjoy stopping in and having breakfast.

This little idiot working the grill just(8⁄26 @~8PM) hassled me about getting two more salsa cup lids for my to go order. I guess if I ate there, I could have all the salsa I could stomach but because I was carrying out… nope…3 salsas only. Get a clue moron, what’s it to you? Walnut Creek, please get a legitimate taqueria so we locals don’t have to put up with this kind of BS and over priced, mediocre food. Please.

Cheap Mexican food! Two tacos for just over four bucks. Wish there were some tomatoes on them but it’s ok. Carne asada was good but not great. Is come back for a burrito or nachos if I felt the craving and didn’t want to spend bookoo bucks at one of the neighboring restaurants.

We were craving Mexican and wanted to stay local. My husband knows that I’m very picky when it comes to Mexican food and a couple of other Mexican Restaurants in Walnut Creek already disgust me, but I decided to give this place a shot. Ordered a couple of burritos and a chicken taco salad. The food was just okay. To be completely honest, I don’t even remember what kind of burrito’s we ordered anymore because I was too busy praying to the porcelain gods after eating. So… yeah…never again. I’ll stick to getting my Mexican food in the Mission.

2nd time here and this time I got a carne asada torta. Super scrumptious! The sandwich was literally as big as my face! If not bigger! I’ve had their burritos before and wasn’t very impressed, but their torta is where it’s at! Nice large toasty bread with meat, guac, lettuce, tomato, lightly grilled onions(translucent & crunchy), jalapeños with just enough heat & a delightful orange sauce. Got an horchata too, all less that $ 10.

Carne Grizzle Burrito. Worst late night Mexican ever. The carne asada in inedible. It’s so fatty that I spit out nearly every bite. Also, the tortillas are plasticy and low quality. Don’t do it. Ever.

So I really want to like this place I really do however, just ate here for lunch for the first time and was disappointed I ordered a chicken burrito then walked to my office to eat only to discover my $ 8.50 was completely full or refried beans, barely any chicken and about 20 napkins later I felt like I was eating a soup burrito. Let’s start with the pros: Great location Outside seating Service was fast I didn’t wait long Now the cons: They don’t tell you there’s refried beans and don’t bother to ask what kind you would like Skimp on meat Overall taste wasn’t good I might give this one more chance only because it’s the only Mexican place close but never the burrito again!
