DOYOUFEELLUCKY?(UPDATE) UnilocalHELPED! I am very happy to update my 1 star review, add a few stars, and describe how well UnilocalCANHELP. The very next morning, I received a call from the owner of Pizza Guys, Walnut Creek. He apologized sincerely for the incident which occurred the night before and made everything right by giving us a new replacement pizza at no cost(with extra portions of our 2 favorite toppings). I could not ask for anything more valuable than a person reaching out immediately, taking full responsibility for his or her actions, and providing total restitution to make everything right again. We are most grateful. And, based upon this 180 degree turnaround, we can heartedly recommend Pizza Guys WC to anyone looking for great pizza and integrity you can count on(however, extra portions of your favorite toppings cannot be guaranteed). How wonderful our world would be if more businesses and people in high places would act this way and do the right thing. BRAVO! 444444444444444430831720125185653340756770816 I have never felt compelled to write a 1 star review on Unilocal before this one. But after I had the utterly distasteful experience that led me to write this, I knew that warning others about Pizza Guys on Newell Avenue in Walnut Creek is, without any doubt, the right thing to do. As far as I am concerned, business is based on trust. If any business fails to be honest and trustworthy in their business practices, I will spend my money elsewhere in a heartbeat. That is exactly what happened with this business tonight. For at least two years, we had been ordering pizza from them on either Saturday or Sunday nights, twice or three times every month. Over this long period of time, we narrowed down our favorite combination and they knew precisely what we wanted to order after we unblocked our phone number. They always charged us the coupon rate and, after awhile, they gave us an extra amount of our 2 toppings for no extra charge. As a rule, our pizzas arrived promptly, exactly as we ordered them and reasonably warm. As with most businesses, there were times where our pizzas arrived quite late, were cold and/or had the wrong type of crust. Nevertheless, we never called in the same night to complain, and at the utmost, we told them the following week what had happened the last time we ordered and moved on. Until last weekend, on December 27th, 2015. On that night, the pizza they delivered was a total disaster. Not only was it late and cold, but it was significantly undercooked, with dough that was so soggy that the pieces drooped over completely. When we reluctantly ate some of it, the taste was bad and different than any pizza we had ever eaten — from any pizzeria! Needless to say, we ate very little of this pizza-like mistake. So, for the very first time, we called Pizza Guys, described what we received from them, and asked for a replacement. We were immediately told that they could not do that, but after we pressed our issue a bit, the lady we were talking to said that she would call her manager to see what she could do. After a short while, she called back and said that her manager told her that though they would not replace our pizza that night, they would give us a free pizza the following weekend. As this was the best that they would offer, we agreed and reckoned that everything would be corrected this weekend on January 3rd, 2016. At least, we trusted that it would be. When I called tonight to order our free pizza, the same lady we spoke with answered. She immediately recalled our discussion, and wrote down our standard order. Before we hung up our phones, I told her that we would give the delivery driver $ 5.00 so his costs would be covered. She acknowledged this, and the call ended. So far, so good. Less than 5 minutes later, the phone rang and it was the same person with whom I had been talking with. She explained that the owner had been there and told her that they would not send us the pizza we had been promised for no cost. I could not believe my ears! When I asked to speak with the owner directly, she told me that he had left and could not be reached. So that’s the high and low of our experience with Pizza Guys. Here’s the bottom line. If you feel lucky, you can go ahead and order from them and and hope for the best. But, please keep in mind that if you are not happy with your delivery, forget about it. Even if they promise to make it right a week later, you will be better off if you pick up your dinner the following week from someone else — anyone else — even if pizza is not on your menu.

I only order from this place because there cinna stick are the bomb! They are basically bite size churros! But back to what happened tonight I ordered a Tuscany thin crust pizza that came like it was still in its bath of grease so I didn’t get to taste any flavor. Oh and the diliever guy harassed by expecting a tip at the door even though I showed him proof I already gave a 25% percent one online. Um you ever heard of those people that don’t have cash at the moment??? Well I was one of them.

This is a 1 star review for both grubhub and pizza guys, because both of them screwed up and did nothing to fix their mistakes. I ordered an XL pizza from pizza guys via grub hub. I clearly typed in my correct address. Somewhere along the line, either pizza guys or grub hub messed up my address. The pizza was sent to a location 6 minutes away from my house. After the driver called my house, we cleared up where the pizza was supposed to be delivered to, and it should’ve taken no more than 10 minutes from that point to arrive. There should not have been any issues after this. It took another 25 minutes for my cold and soggy pizza to arrive. I contacted grubhub regarding this whole situation. They called me promptly, informing me that since my money was now in the hands of pizza guys, they couldn’t refund me. This makes no sense. I do not need my original electronically transferred 0’s and 1’s. I see no reason for them to not refund my transaction, as there was clearly an issue with the order. However, they informed me that they chatted with a manager at pizza guys. This is where it gets good. The pizza guys manager graciously informed the grubhub guy that since my pizza made it to my house in just under an hour(when my house is only a 15 minute drive away…) that there was no reason to refund my purchase. However, grubhub dude told me that I could contact pizza guys to claim a 50% off coupon for my next order with them. Who in their right mind would want to spend another dollar with these jerks? They could’ve at least saved themselves a 1 star Unilocal review by doing the right thing instead of taking my money in exchange for late, cold, soggy pizza. By the way, this is the first Unilocal review I’ve ever written. If there was any doubt about how displeased I am, let that fact make it clear. Neither pizza guys, nor grubhub, will ever see my business ever again. I only hope that I can dissuade any poor fool from using either of these services.

We ordered two large pizzas(All Meat and one two topping) and an order of pesto cheese bread. Everything was quite tasty. There were tons and tons of toppings on both. You also can’t beat the free ice cream they give you. The price was very reasonable too. I highly recommend this place.

Watch the Asian girl at the register, she doesn’t wash her hands. She handles money then goes right to preparing food.

Solid takeout pizza at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy but gets the job done and won’t break the bank. I appreciate their flexibility on requests — extra sauce, different crust, etc. Close by so I’ll be back.

We usually get the same thing every time and the kids love it. The two pizza special one with bbq sauce as the base is a gem. The Hawaiian is not my thing but the kids love that as well. Fast friendly service and if they make a mistake they own it and fix it. In fact I am ordering the special right now.

An average place for a cheap quick in home pizza dinner. nothing special. the dough is premade you call tell from the bubbles in the pizza base. the toppings are sparingly placed. you will be lucky if you find 10 good pieces of chicken in your large pizza. price is awesome for $ 10 bucks you can feed 2 to 3 if you are light eaters. if you check in Unilocal when you get there you get to choose between a 1.5L drink or a small ice cream tub. If you are looking for a cheap pizza and quick service this place works out. if you are looking for good cheese and abundant toppings and fresh dough this is not the place. you get what you pay for. Bottom line will go back for my cheap and quick pizza service :)

Ordered for the first time and happy. The pink sauce & creamy pesto is an absolute must try. I also ordered the vegetarian munchies and surprisingly very tasty… Heard another has also opened in Danville and will try theirs next too!

Pizza Guys not my go to place for cheap pizza. Given the choice I’ll go down the street to Papa Johns.

As a frequent traveler, I sometimes just want to call and order a pizza. I had used Pizza guys previously and liked their pie. However, they no longer publish a phone number on their website, and they make no accommodation for a one-time order on the internet only order site. So I called someone else. The internet needs to be easier than using a phone, and I haven’t seen a good site for ordering pizza, ever.

My son and I just stopped here for lunch on Monday. We each ordered a personal size pizza and a drink for $ 6. I think that’s a good deal for a quick lunch. We waited about 8 minutes and each had nice hot pizzas. I got the chicken and bacon-it has a white sauce with chicken, bacon, red onion, fresh tomato and cheddar cheese. I understand what other reviewers have said about the crust-it was just okay-but the sauce and toppings were very good and it was very fresh. My son had pepperoni and jalapenos. He was very happy that the jalapenos were fresh roasted. We would definitely do lunch here again-way better than say, Burger King, for the same price.

OK, this place is just plain terrible. The one in Concord is actually pretty good. Recently moved to Walnut Creek and after trying this location, I can tell you I for sure won’t go with them again. Ok granted, it was Christmas, I can understand that. I would have waited 2 hours if I had to, no problem. Here’s what the problem was: they brought us a pizza with olives when I clearly asked for no olives, it even says it on the receipt! I’ll attach a picture for proof. Even the screw up I was ok with, though obviously disappointed. I called up expecting that they would bring us a new one no problem. Nope. Manager tried to just«give a discount with our next order» and when I said that wouldn’t do, he tried to get me to settle for a small pizza replacement instead the large I had ordered… Who does that? I was truly bewildered and I won’t be giving them my business again.

So the last time I wanted to order Pizza Guys for the house, my husband said NO. It was really the 2 for $ 20 deal I wanted. So I disobeyed and ordered it anyway. I was disappointed in the pizza but obviously had to pretend I really liked it when my husband raised his eyebrow after first bite. Since then, I’ve been introduced to Sliver, Build, Armendi’s and even Domino’s new thin crust. Thin, crunchy crust is my favorite. So when I recently went back onto the Pizza Guys website, in search of a good deal(they have lots of great online coupons), I saw they had two different thins. I called the WC location and asked the difference. Tuscany thin is supposed to be the crispy, crunchy thin. $ 3 for delivery and 45 min later I had an XL veggie specialty pizza delivered to my work. Unfortunately, the cardboard they disguised as crust was nearly inedible. It was tough and chewy and even hard to bite through. I made sure another girl in the office tried it and she agreed: inedible. Sadly, I’m not at a place in life where I can justify just throwing out a $ 30 pizza. And even though I imagine if I’d driven it downtown after work, I probably could have talked my way into a refund. But instead of fighting the traffic downtown, I went home and decided I’ll have to just eat the toppings when I’m hungry and not being picky. It’s been a long time since I’ve had pizza this bad. Plus, the delivery guy brought TWO tiny packets of cheese and TWO tiny packets of hot peppers — for an XL. Obviously I had tons of my own hot sauce(I keep getting it delivered to my office! Husband loves me). And I love husband enough to finally admit that I was wrong. Everyone’s got their own likes, but since I like crunchy thin crusts, I should never, ever order Pizza Guys again — too many other pizza options that are more what my taste buds want.

Look, Pizza Guys is great I’m-hung-over-and-I’m-not-getting-off-the-couch pizza. But if you have pizza for the reason I have pizza — a guilty pleasure on a diet cheat day, skip it. I have tried the chicken(not bad) and The Combination. The Combination is bland. Like, nothing on it has any flavor. The onions are bland, the green peppers are bland, the sauce and meat — bland. I have ended up having to put a special host sauce I buy in Mexico on the pizza just to get some flavor! Service is good and fast, but if the pizza sucks who cares about service?

This is my go-to place for delicious and affordable pizza in Walnut Creek. I usually go for their two pizzas, two toppings each deal for $ 20. If you pick up your order you get your choice of a free 2-liter soda or ice cream, which is a great perk! What I really like about this place is the customization options they have. You have a variety of sauces, toppings, and crust types to choose from. You can make several combinations. I like to get half garlic sauce, half BBQ sauce, with onions and pineapples on thin crust. Their garlic sauce is delicious! I have also tried their pasta. It’s a little on the greasy side but it is very flavorful and generously comes with yummy cheesy bread on the side. I like how I was able to get the«chicken pasta» without the chicken(I like vegetarian food). I love ordering from this place on Friday evenings — so nice to curl up to yummy pizza, soda and ice cream, and maybe some pasta, and watch a movie or chill with friends. The staff is friendly too. Never any problems. And I have also tried their delivery service — pretty fast. They’ve never been late. The delivery guys are quiet but nice and get the job done. Overall, an awesome pizza spot in the WC area.

I’ll order from this place if money is tight. The online order process is great, but the app for the Android phones sucks. The pizza is decent, but really lacks good flavor and that awesome filling feeling that good pizza gives you. The toppings are always used sparingly, and even when asking for extra, it makes you wonder what their definition of extra is. The delivery drivers are generally nice, but a few make you feel that tipping is not an optional thing when it REALLYREALLY is optional. There are better places to get your pizza pie, so look around before settling for the not-so-pretty, but has a good personality pizza place.
