Target

I really love Target, but they are usually overpriced, but have occasional good deals. We visited today and were just browsing. I love target for Star Wars stuff. They usually have fun little stuff in the dollar area. I got some cool Star Wars stuff for about 15 bucks, a good deal on a big Clorox squirt bottle for 2 bucks, and some frozen steamers on sale for 2 bucks. I love the fun stuff at the checkout. (I’m talking about the Legos for 4 dollars at checkout see picture) Also love the card selection.
Although they didn’t have any Tops Star Wars cards left, they had some cool mini stuffed figures (see pictures) This target is perfect, from the amount of parking, store size, store choices, and the fun thing where you put your cart down the escalator. (lol)
This is by far the best Target in the east bay and suggest you visit sometime.
Also I love the customer service here, only reason for no 5 star is grouchy clerk. But usually the service is top notch and helpful. I even got help from a stocker before. Yes a stocker. Better service than Walmart, but not better prices.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this location yet. This is the closest to where I live and I go here pretty much every week.
Parking:
There is ample dedicated parking here both at the entrance level and the ground level. There are escalators and belts for the trolley from inside the store to the ground level parking. So parking at either level is convenient.
Store arrangement:
I always use their target app on my mobile to look up where I can find stuff. When you add an item to the app list, it shows the aisle number where it can be found and I’ve observed that it is correct most of the times. Even if, for some reason the item has been moved to a different aisle, the staff here are pretty up to date on where one can find the stuff. There are price scanners every few aisles, but sometimes it’s hard to find them. I wish they installed a few more of them. Some of the store staff have price scanners on them, so when I can’t find one, I just grab hold of one of the staff to scan the items for me.
Cost and quality:
Most groceries like milk, cereal, baking items, pasta ingredients, flour, cake mixes and snacks are reasonably priced. Fruits and vegetables are definitely overpriced. The inventory for fresh fruits and vegetables is not refreshed adequately. I have been unable to buy any onions or tomatoes during some of my visits mostly because the remaining ones on the counter were almost rotten. The eggs are always broken except the Simply organic ones that are boxed differently. On the other hand, the quality of clothes I’ve bought here are amazingly good even after several washes in the machine and absolutely NIL care. So, I would say, while some of the items are really worth buying here, some are not. Definitely don’t count on doing your weekly grocery shopping here, well at least the fresh grocery items.
Variety:
Variety is what I love about this store. There’s always more than one choice and this is the main factor that makes me want to come back here again and again. I also like how there is a Target brand item of every thing I want to buy with the same quality and lower pricing compared to the other brands.
Billing:
Again, my experience at the billing section has been mixed. When it is 10 items or less I just go to the express counter and I’m done almost immediately. In the regular billing section however, some of the counters are always closed and some other have a long queue. Most of the time the wait is around 5 minutes. However, in rare occasions the staff have been so talkative and it has taken forever to get past the billing. My experience hasn’t been consistent.
Overall experience:
With the target app to help find items, the variety of items and ease of shopping around here my experience has been pretty positive. But I’m not going to be able to give more than 3 stars until they revamp their fresh grocery section.

The lines were long and the store was bustling. I headed straight for customer service to pick up an in store order I’d placed two days before Christmas. The associate that retrieved my items was incredibly dull and obviously didn’t want to be there. I noticed the jewelry box she had handed me was badly damaged. She had already immediately walked away after handing me the items so I asked one of the other people behind the counter what could be done. This is where Matthew comes in…
Matthew not only was friendly and helpful, he went above expectations for a customer service representative in such a busy environment. He looked up the inventory on the computer and found a new unopened jewelry box in stock! He went to the back himself and brought it up to me.

I used to live in the area and it’s a Target that’s pretty much en route to home, but the day I went recently was for a purpose and that was to get a Christmas gift for my niece. Online it said that they had it in stock. I purposely drove to this Target and I basically rummaged through the shelves and nothing. I asked an associate and they asked the storage room and nothing. He then said I could order it online and deliver it to store which I kindly had to tell him, I couldn’t do that as it was not an option and the website told me to go to the store to find the item. I was sad and disheartened and spent almost an hour in there.
Otherwise, this Target gets a good crowd of folks. There’s parking in front as well as underground. I’ve always had the luck of parking on the top vs the bottom. This place is fairly clean and well staffed. Other than the hiccup I had with the gift. It’s a great target to have nearby.

Terrible service. All I wanted to know was whether they could price match an online price which every electronics store in the country WILL price match. I was just trying to drive less.
I was transferred twice, hung up on once, and then when I called back the lady who previously couldn’t answer the question asked me what the item was and before i finished she said no.
Obviously Target doesn’t think they’re in a service business so from now on I’ll drive an extra 10 minutes to go somewhere else.

A nice target that carries almost all the basics needs you could ask for. I love targets they are one of my favorites store to do shopping in. I sometimes just go there just to see if any new kinds of products are out .
They have Plenty of house hold items, with a pretty large clearance section. I love there movie selections area. I have added many blue rays to my collection. They have a nice movie sale right now 4.75 for a lot of different films.
Definitely a fun store to just stroll threw to see what you can find !! I come here at least once a week lol. but it nice going latter when its not so busy and you don’t have to wait in long lines.
Looks like this week they are doing killer movie sales!!!

I do a run-​through of this Target a couple times a week. Decent clearance throughout the store, and they’ve got everything you’d ever need. The prices aren’t the best on a lot of things, but it’s way better coming here than driving out to WalMart in Martinez. +1 for being close to home!
4 stars for always having plenty of checkers to get us out of there ASAP, and for underground garage parking that makes it way easier to get a spot!

This was the largest Target I have ever set foot inside.
When we arrives, we were lucky to find a parking spot near the front of the building, therefore skipping the parking garage (this Target has a PARKING GARAGE!). The parking spot had a time limit, so we hurried inside to buy our items.
We just stopped here for a sweater and some cold medicine. Target always has everything. I was impressed with how well the store was maintained and I found our items fairly quickly.
Even with how big Target was, I still had the same great experience.
