Not very good. The fish and the rolls are not very tasty. I paid $ 19.99 for all you can eat. Very disappointed.

This is my first time here and I enjoyed myself. I was only able to order a few rolls because of my gluten intolerance but the staff worked with me on some of them by changing the imitation crab to spicy tuna. The fish was fresh and the rolls were pretty big. The staff was super nice and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Came here with a friend after work to wait out the rush hour traffic. The business itself is kinda hidden when you drive in through the ‘main’ entrance off of Lemon, but the highlight of that is there’s not a lot of people, so you’ll get good service for sure. I wasn’t intending to do AYCE, but after looking at prices and being unsure what rolls I wanted, we caved and went for it. Between us we had 7 rolls, all of them were great and had a lot of fish packed in(I can’t remember names, but we stuck to non-salmon rolls for allergy reasons, and most anything with avocado in it). I think I’m still full from last night. It’s definitely a little more money than I’d normally spend, but the food was great, so I don’t mind too much. If I’m in the area again and want sushi, I’ll be coming back. :)

Came here for AYCE dinner. This place is not bad and located at the corner of the plaza. Depending on when you come, it can be empty or full! Only reason I’m not giving 5-stars is the service; they’re slow considering there was not much people there when I went. Additionally, it took them about 10 minutes to bring out each roll. Luckily the delicious sushi made up for it! I ordered: –California hand roll –Teriyaki roll –Baked lobster roll –Tuna and salmon roll All rolls were fresh and delicious. The highlight however was the Baked lobster roll! A definite must have! I understand they torch the roll which adds flavor!

Gave this place another shot. So I wanted my sushi fix but time not on my side I just said f-it I’ll come here since it’s close. The beer special is what kept me from giving one star. I usually for the most part get nigri. If you like me and mostly always eat that go somewhere else. The fish to rice ratio is not good. If I wanted a rice bowl I’d order one, and that’s what you get with nigri. It’s a lot of rice and the fish slices are small. With other options in West Covina by the 10 this one is on the bottom of the list…

First time here and also the last time. It’s American sushi AYCE, rice has no sushi rice flavor, and fish is barely on par. Selections vary quite a bit, the menu seems to focus on the rolls, which typically very filling. I didn’t make it to the second round, had no desire to continue to try other dishes. I wouldn’t mind just eating cheaper fish sushi but the rice and fish have to be done right. It’s not bad if you just want AYCE sushi in the area. They charged for«Green tea bag in hot water»…

Oh, Imomo… I finally got my group of friends to try this place. Being seasoned AYCE sushi eaters, I always ensured them that Imomo would not disappoint. I always raved over the quality and consistency this place has to offer. I left with my little soul wailing. There was only one occupied table when we went on a recent weeknight. I noticed the bar area was manned by two very young workers instead of the usual sushi chefs. We ordered a small amount for the first round … and each plate took way longer than usual. The FOOD. The fish was cut thin like paper sheet and the rice was super dense. You can see from the picture that I posted. The sushi looked like the rolling hills of Colorado because the fish was cut so thin that it just blanketed the lump of rice like winter’s first snow. Every plate came out like that. I almost shed a tear. We were still starving by the time the last thing arrived. Waited… waited. we even finished that plate and our ordering sheet never came back and we had to ask for it. Long story short, the second round was faster, but it was as unappetizing as the first round. By the time the order paper was brought back to us, we were ready to go home. /insert sad music WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Great service and the quality of the fish is amazing for the price. Best ayce sushi restaurant I’ve been to. Make sure to try the albacore and salmon nigiri sushi! And don’t miss out on the $ 0.99 draft beer.

I don’t always leave a review unless I really LIKE the restaurant or HATE it. & this place totally deserves 5 stars! As a matter of fact, just happened to stumble upon this place after my son’s basketball game. Didn’t know they have AYCE sushi so it’s no surprise that my husband wasn’t disappointed. We ordered the hot night roll, Cajun tuna roll, Hawaiian roll, Philadelphia roll, salmon & tuna nigiri. All were amazing! The fish was fresh & the presentation was amazing. So if you’re looking for an AYCE sushi spot you gotta try this place! Even better, no crazy crowd & excellent service :-).

First time eating here. Thought we would try out a new place. Didn’t get a good first impression. Went on a weekend night surprised it wasn’t busy for dinner time. We got seated with a menu, chop sticks and napkins. Ordered our drinks. We ended up ordering the AYCE. However our waiter didn’t check up on us till they saw 4 plates stacked on each other and that our glasses were empty.(15 minutes at least after he gave us our drinks) We sat at the bar and the sushi chefs weren’t very friendly at all. The sushi itself was okay. Not bad but good enough to over look the poor customer service.(They didn’t ask if it was our first time or they didn’t ask if we had any questions. They didn’t really check on us at all. It’s like they forgot we were there.) ordered a miso soup which I never got. Pretty disappointed with the service here. Hope other people get a better experience of they go here. Customer service goes a long way. I don’t plan on coming back here any time soon or probably not going back in general. –unsatisfied customer

AYCE is $ 24.99 for adults, $ 13 for kids, $ 6 for toddlers. And the all day happy hour beer on tap(Kirin and Asahi) were 99¢ each. My experience was good. Not the best, but not bad at all. All you can eat includes 3 rounds and although we had grand intentions to pace ourselves, we hit a wall after the 2nd round(probably because I filled up on beer). We started with spicy tuna hand rolls which were nice and spicy, uni nigiri(limited to 1 order per person) which was surprisingly good, and my favorite: mackerel nigiri. I enjoyed the mackerel so much that I ordered 4 more pieces on the 2nd round. I was disappointed with halibut nigiri(limited to 1 order per person). It tasted off and there was a squeeze of lemon flavor attempting to mask it. My mother in law and husband both enjoyed their salmon and tuna nigiri, and they put minimal rice which is considered a plus for some– but those who are sushi purists would be disappointed. The rice lacked the vinegar flavor as well and the temperature wasn’t right. But what do you expect– it is AYCE and orders are coming to the table all at once. The kids enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, edamame, vegetable tempura, and unagi that we ordered from the AYCE menu. We also ordered a few of the specialty rolls and they were drenched in that typical«yum yum sauce». It isn’t my favorite and I only had a couple pieces. We definitely got our money’s worth because the kids ate a ton, but I think I will stick to quality sashimi elsewhere. This quantity eating is just once in a blue moon. We arrived at 5:45 for dinner and were seated immediately. By 6:00, there was a wait. Service is friendly and it’s true– every server has beach blonde dyed hair. The sushi chefs are cool– giving my son extra seaweed paper because it is his favorite.

It was a gloomy day fit for sweats and uncute apparel. I, along with my mom and aunts decided on a pigout for lunch, though, we opted for sushi in some effort to «keep it healthy». At the time, it was about 2pm and empty on a weekend. There were 2 or 3 servers present, who were very friendly. Unlike most places with an ayce option, not everyone had to order Ayce. My mom got the ayce option and my aunt and I ordered off the menu. We had ramen, tempura, both«old school» and fusion rolls. Which were combination of hits and misses. Notably, the ayce orders were quite large and they were nice enough to allow us to take them home. I know usually this isn’t allowed so we totally appreciated that. I really liked the roll which had this green outer coating to it. Deelish. I’m pretty sure it was fried. The only item I wasn’t a fan off, surprisingly, was the roll which was stopped with short rib, primarily because the short rib wasn’t so good.

A bit pricey for the mediocre quality of sushi you get here. Linch is more bearable. The fish here is definitely not up to par with many of the other sushi restaurants that you can also go to for AYCE, the alcohol during happy hour is a pretty good price, also it’s close by to where I live in sleepy little Walnut. So if you wanna settle for some OK, and just ok sushi and are willing to pay the usual price then this is your place. TL;DR NORMALPRICEBUTMEDIOCREFISH GETTHESALMON, STAYAWAYFROMTHEALBACORE!!! In the sea of All you can eat Sushi Places, this place doesn’t hold a candle to the rest… Went to the JY Crew and we all pretty much felt the same thing. The sushi tasted a bit generic and underwhelming. Guess I’ll be sticking to Crazy Mike’s, Sushi Show, or who knows even Asahi… JY.

Yet another AYCE in the 626 East. One of the newer contenders for Sushi Supremacy in the 626 East. This was the first time in a Long time I’ve actually tried something from the lunch menu(it was $ 5 cheaper). This place is somewhat hidden. It’s on the outside part facing La Puente. One of the bigger disappointment is that their rice is inconsistent. First batch of nigiri sushi was quite decent. The rice was not too hard, and the fragrance of the rice was nice. But the second round, the rice started to become a little hard. This place give a lot of a rice compared to the other AYCE sushi joints within 5 mile radius. With the lunch and dinner menu, they had limited signature rolls they were willing to offer. And for that, I will have to give it the old A OK3 stars. Although it’s not very good value($ 20 for lunch, $ 25 for dinner), customer service was very good. And parking was super easy to find. Hope they step up their game, and change for the better.

This review is solely about the AYCE option. For AYCE, it deserves five stars. This place is literally hidden in a strip mall. There’s two sushi restaurants in the same lot. This one is behind the Wells Fargo. The options you’re given for the price is well worth it. You’re given three rounds to order, but I can’t quite see how you can get past the second round. My family and I were full halfway through our second round. We had to ask them to cancel some of our orders. Our third round was really just ordering miso soup to help digest all the sushi we had devoured. Uni is offered, limit to one order though. The same goes for the halibut. $ 25 for dinner and I think $ 12.99 for kids. Kids do not get the option of halibut and uni. The price is a steal when most AYCE sushi places I’ve been to cost $ 27.95 during dinner. The rice-to-fish ratio is pretty good, except when you order rolls. Rolls are essentially just a blob of rice with bits of fish anyways. Just order the nigiri sushi. There’s a lot of roll options. I personally like to stick with the usual rolls and not those specialty rolls with names so unique you don’t even know what’s in them. The servers are real friendly. I don’t know if it’s part of the uniform or what, but all the servers have their hair bleached.

We stopped in 30 mins before closing. They were super sweet and attentive. We decided to indulge in the ayce option, my goodness we couldn’t have been happier! We ordered the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, halibut, uni(one order/person), unagi, baked lobster roll and a few other items. The salmon was pretty buttery and great quality for an ayce place. They are very generous with their cuts of fish. They have mochi ice cream for dessert. Yum! Yes, I’ll be back, the quality is great for ayce

It was okay. The muscles were particularly good but besides that, things fell on a short note. The baked offerings were good but just way too basic and not original. I will say that the Nigiri was solid and had a good ratio of fish/rice, though the fish should have been much cooler than it was served. I might return as I found it to be better than AYCE sushi on grand.

This is definitely one of the better sushi places in Walnut. It’s located in the same shopping center as Vons on the corner of La Puente and Lemon but it’s little difficult to find because it’s hidden in the back of the shopping center. You basically have to drive toward the back of the center to see the sign. I almost ended up going to the wrong place because there’s another sushi place in the same shopping center by Chase Bank. It’s easier to find if you enter from La Puente than Lemon. It’s near Yami Tea Time and Wells Fargo Bank. Overall quality of sushi is good but is a bit on the pricey side for nigiri sushi and rolls. However, their Awesome Sushi combo is a great deal at $ 22 for dinner and $ 19 for lunch. It comes with 2 pieces of yellowtail, 2 pieces of tuna, 2 pieces of salmon, and 2 pieces of albacore, and a choice of CA roll or spicy tuna roll. The sushi pieces are huge. The rice portion is about the same as any other sushi place but the fish are about twice the size so you are basically getting 4 pieces of each sushi. For me and my wife, this actually would’ve been enough for the two of us but we ordered couple of other items so we can get a better feel for this place. For nigiri sushi we ordered shrimp, halibut, and red snapper. The quality of fish was good but I was rather disappointed with the portion because I expected them to be a lot bigger after seeing the portions on Awesome Sushi combo. These were just average size sushi pieces. I’m definitely going to just stick with the sushi combo from now on. On our second visit we ordered the sushi combo again and also tried Baja California Roll which is made with spicy tuna, yellowtail, cilantro, avocado, green onion, and jalapeño. The roll was good but is pricey at about $ 16. Luckily we came during lunch special hour so at least our combo sushi was few dollars less than dinner price. By the way, lunch special hours are listed as Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on the menu but our server told us it’s everyday. Service has been great both times. They kept giving us free samples on the house so we were super full by the time we left. Only problem is the fish on free samples didn’t taste that fresh. However, I’m not going to dock them for this since these were on the house. For pure sashimi and nigiri sushi I still prefer ones in downtown LA but this place will do for rolls and overall sushi craving. I just hope it can last at this location because it’s in a very bad spot of the shopping center. I think I’ve seen several other businesses at this location come and go.
