Had a yellowtail poke bowl, very tasty and fresh. Comes on big tray with crispy fried sweet potato, edamame, miso soup and small salad. Will return again!

I love this place first off let me start by telling you how nice and welcoming the owner is. He is the sweetest man you will ever meet. He’s very accommodating, he always makes sure that I have everything I need. Me and my fiancé eat here almost every day if not every other day and I have never been disappointed. Every order comes out exactly like how I would like it to be. Everything is fresh and it literally melts in your mouth LMAO! I recommend this place to everyone BTW, shout out to mark and katie. They’re the best see you guys everyday

so my husband been wanting to take me to this place to try their poke bowl after he went here for lunch one day. This is actually my first poke place I been to and it turned out great, even though its not what I expected. I was expecting something like subway. Like how you line up and pick your own ingredients and pay at the end. But this place you actually can look at the printed menu or the menu they have hanging on top. pick the item you want without getting to see what it looks like and then pay for it and they bring it to your table. overall the fish taste fresh and lots of parking and lots of other stores you can check out too. will definitely be coming back to try their sushi burrito.

Service service service!!! There hasn’t been a time where I’ve come here and haven’t been blown away by the amount of customer service I receive. The owner personally goes out of his way to make your dinning experience spectacular. Now that that’s out of the way let me talk about the food. The quality is great and the portions are filling. All MYO meals come with miso soup, salad and two sides! There’s an option where you can craft your own bowl or have one of their signature bowls. Also they have complimentary hot fruit tea, it tastes like candy. So good! Hands down you have to give it a try. Pros * Everything * Service * Food

Been here at least ten times now but always fail to check-in. Oops. Love the place! Owner and staff overall are super friendly and helpful. But the last time I came in during lunch on Tuesday. I was pretty disappointed that the cashier spent so much time catching up and tending to her friend at a table that another customer taking an order to go had to approach her and ask her if her order was ready – in which she spoke back to the woman respectfully, but continued catching up with her friend a few more minutes before finalizing the packaging of her order. It was pretty obvious that the order was done since the take out boxes were on the counter. I’m pretty hopeful that this doesn’t happen often as this is the first time I’ve seen anything below extraordinary customer service from MYO. So still deem them worthy of 5 stars. But just needed to put this out there. Still, food was delicious as always and has a great portion size. Will still be coming back!

Haven’t been here in years! I first came when they had their soft opening, and haven’t been back since as I thought it was okay. Upon coming back a couple days ago, the restaurant looks exactly the same with minor changes in the menu. They offer make your own rolls, burritos, sushi bowls, as well as regular menu items. I decided to get the salmon poke bowl(it’s cheaper than making it yourself) with a couple substitutions. The bowls were currently buy one get one half off, so the two of the bowls including a $ 1 smoothie(yay for cheap drinks!) was around $ 20. Each meal comes out with miso soup, tempura sweet potato, edamame beans, and salad which is totally worth it in my opinion. The people here are very generous with their toppings– I had so much of everything and the salmon was super fresh. The fish was cut well, and I could barely finish my bowl! Maybe it was because there were so many sides included. I would also recommend ordering extra sauce on the side as I wish I had more spicy mayo. The smoothie we got was also delicious, and it went really well with the bowl I got. We also ordered an extra roll on the side which ended up being way too much food as it also comes with the side. I would recommend one bowl per person and no more as it is a lot of food. I love the variety of choices they offer here, and was impressed with the quality of the food! You can tell that they are very meticulous with their bowls and take time in doing everything. Great sushi spot to grab lunch with friends!

I think I’m spoiled by all the good poke in OC. MYO Sushi was A-OK in my book. Not bad, but definitely nothing stellar(definitely not 4.5 stars stellar). We ordered tuna poke bowls and yellowtail sashimi. The poke bowl is an okay size for $ 11, but really doesn’t include much fish. Same with the sashimi bowl, which comes with about 5 slices of yellowtail($ 12). They compensate by giving you sides(miso soup, fried sweet potato, salad and edamame) and providing complimentary(delicious) hot fruit tea. The tuna is different than poke bowls I’ve had in that the tuna is slightly smoked/seared. Interesting taste, but didn’t fit that well with the rest of the flavors. The bowl comes with cucumbers, avocado, pickled onions, crab and masago — all covered in a light poke sauce. While food is average, the service is great. We were handed menus as soon as we walked in, and the cashier was very helpful and friendly. She gave us coupons for the next time we come back and $ 1 off gift store items. Same cashier also brought our food and hot tea straight to our table. As an FYI — they have a ‘no tipping’ policy here.

Hearing about this place from a few people, I had to check this MYO sushi out. My girlfriend and I decided to come on a random Thursday night and luckily it wasn’t too busy. She decided to get a sushi bowl while I went with the sushi burrito. I really enjoyed the sushi burrito because not only it was really good and the Salmon was pretty fresh, I saw one of my friends post about a sushi burrito he got from MYO from earlier during the day and I was thinking about his picture all day. Each order came with a few tempura which was amazing, some edamame, salad, and miso soup which was good. Also what it appeared to be the owner also offered us complementary fruit tea which I finished completely. I also got a mango smoothie because they are one dollar with each order which I was down for. So for a little over twenty dollars I got a sushi burrito, sushi bowl, edamame, miso soup, tempura, salad, fruit tea, and a smoothie. I would say that was really worth it. Will definitely come back soon!

I don’t eat seafood so when I come I’m definitely here for their fruit tea: D My family loves their tuna poke bowl so I always come with the fam when I’m back home visiting. They do have rolls without seafood such as the pork tonkatsu and something else don’t remember . Their meals come with this fried sweet potato thing that is SO delicious. i just eat everyone’s sides :) & drink their fruit tea … oh my gahh so yummmy!

3 ½ Stars. Came in on a Wednesday evening before 5:00 pm so the second entrée was 50% off. The complimentary hot fruit tea was perfect on a cold rainy evening. I ordered the yellowtall poke bowl which came with sides of edamame, tempura, salad and a cup of miso soup. The quanity of yellowtail was small and flat tasting. The service was friendly but the food fell short of my expectations. Although the price was reasonable I would have rather paid additional for higher quality.

Came here again and ordered my usual, salmon poke bowl. I always come here with another person to take advantage of that bogo half off offer they have from 11−5pm on weekdays. Under $ 18 for two poke bowls! +Salmon Poke Bowl Yay! Last time I was here, they did not give us sweet potatoes): they replaced it with artificial mango(?) pudding. Now they have it again! Yay! The fried sweet potato was good and not too oily. I usually don’t like fried stuff like tempura and stuff because it’s too oily for me): but yea these fried sweet potatoes are good! The sauce on the salad is also very good. I look forward to eating this every time haha. The miso soup was good too The rice was on point today! Not too soft but not undercooked either. The sauce on the poke was bomb. The avocados and cucumbers and jalapenos were nice and green and fresh looking. The pickled onions had a nice crunch. They gave us a decent portion of fish too. The fish and veggies and rice portion is good! Did not get left off with any extra rice or anything. Restrooms are single person restrooms! The faucet is a little weird in the woman’s restroom. Overall, it’s not dirty or anything. Just a regular restroom. No tip necessary, leave your plates when you are done, and get utensils and water at that station across from the register!

The food here is awesome! My favorite things to eat here are their tuna poke bowl and their fresh fruit smoothies. Even though you order a tuna bowl M.Y.O will give you a bunch of side plates which are all really good! Even though I live in seattle M.Y.O is my must eats every time I’m i the area!

Across from a high school, it screams of hipster hangout. But with these deals, it’s hard to pass up. Regular priced items come with drinks for $ 1. My $ 1 Thai Tea is a steal. The rolls are ½ off. The poke bowls are fresh and well worth the 20-minute wait. Rich in texture and flavor. Yum! The rolls are not minuscule size too. Overall, fresh sushi comparable to a fancy restaurant but without the price tag or cheesy ambience. My son ordered a mango smoothie. Not as overwhelming as Jamba Juice. Light and fresh. The complimentary fruit tea after our meal is a nice touch. Great value for tasty and fresh Sushi.

Came here with the family who has a new found love for sushi. This is definitely a casual spot so don’t bring anyone here on a date unless you been dating at least a year and can use the bathroom in front of one another. Their specialty are bowls which are reasonably priced and come with a miso soup and three sides(amazing sweet potato tempura, edamame and a side salad). I would highly recommend staying away from the rolls as they are not very authentic and lack flavor. They have an amazing BOGO special with buy one full price meal and get the other half off during certain times. They also will add a smoothie to your meal for only $ 1 which is a bargain. The kids who work there are super nice but my one objection was the loud house music that played nonstop for an hour Or maybe I am just getting old. PS, the complimentary tea is amazing…

I thought this place was awesome. Came in on some specials. Seems like they have a few rotating throughout but this was my first time here. I love burritos so it was fitting to get my «bowl» in a burrito form. I ordered the«muscle man» special, basically it was a burrito that was stuffed with protein, like fish, chicken, and avocado. It also came with a side salad, miso soup, edamame, and a pudding dessert. When I first saw my burrito, the first thing that popped in my head was«that’s it?» But after eating the entire meal, I was satisfied. I wasn’t completely stuffed that I can skip dinner and I definitely wasn’t hungry. It was the right amount of food. Service was amazing! Super courteous staff. Can’t say enough about the customer service! I would definitely come back here in the near future.

M.Y.O. sushi is yet another addition to the growing poke restaurant trend but being that I live in Pomona, a close and very welcome one. I’d probably have to say that out of all the poke bowl places I’ve tried, M.Y.O. doesn’t quite have the freshest poke I’ve had but that’s not to say it’s not good at all — it really is. M.Y.O.‘s strength is in providing incredible value for what you pay and a good amount of customization options with your meal. For the price of one poke bowl anywhere else($ 10.95), you not only get a poke bowl with generous portions of sliced cucumber and avocado, but also a piece of yam tempura, some edamame and salad, and quite frankly one of the best miso soups I’ve ever had. If you live in this part of the 626 and you’re looking for a more than well valued poke bowl place, M.Y.O. is your place.

This is one of the few poke bowl restaurants you’ll find in the east of 605 freeway /West Covina area. M.Y.O(the acronym for make-your-own) Sushi is located across from the Nogales High School(same plaza as Health Station & permanently closed Meow Meow Café). Service was excellent — the staff will go over the menu for 1st time visitors and offer a complementary hot fruity tea(made from the combination of peach, citrus, apple, etc) while waiting for your order. The fruit tea was definitely one of the highlights here — tasted very delicious and not overly sweet. Menu: You can either choose M.Y.O(make-your-own) sushi bowl /sushi roll /sushi burrito or pick from pre-customized bowls /entrees. For make-your-own sushi, you can choose one protein(from salmon, jerk chicken, or pork cutlet), 3 ingredients(e.g. cucumber, avocado, roasted mushroom, and 15 other options to choose from), and 1 sauce(9 different sauces). Each meal(make-your-own or pre-customized) also come with miso soup, salad, and two sides of the day. It is not listed on the menu, but you can get a smoothie for extra $ 1(regular price $ 3.95) for each meal you order. *** Salmon Sashimi Bowl(Cucumber/Shredded Cabbage/Avocado/Poke Dressing, $ 10.95): Good miso soup, delicious salad dressing, and not-too-shabby soba. Edamame tasted like edamame(nothing really special) and sashimi bowl had too much rice(not enough salmon); however, salmon was pretty fresh. *** 3.5-star on sashmi bowl itself, but its friendly service + delicious complimentary fruit tea + good side dishes made this a pretty satisfying meal. If I am coming back here again, then I would utilize all discounts(including $ 1 smoothie with a meal) to maximize my experience here. P. S. — I believe there’s a buy one get one(BOGO) deal during weekday from 11AM to 5PM and I also received $ 2 food coupon(only good between Monday through Thursday) and a $ 1 gift coupon ONLY for their merchandise.

I was a little worried about the no tip policy and was expecting pretty much unfriendly employees. I came with two other friends and it was all our first time. The cashier greeted us and explained how to menu worked. You pick your protein, toppings, and sauce and have them in either a bowl, roll, or burrito. If you don’t feel like customizing your own, you can choose from their preset menu. I chose to be lazy and ordered their salmon sashimi bowl. You get to choose to add a fruit smoothie, up to 3 fruits, for $ 1 with each purchase. Each entrée comes with miso soup, edamame, salad, and fried sweet potato. I liked how the salad had seaweed salad on top. The salmon bowl was good but I wish I customized my own since I don’t eat half of the toppings, but that’s my fault i was lazy to read what comes with it. Also it was supposed to come with poke sauce but there wasn’t much of it. There’s buy one get one 50% off monday-thursday before five, which is a really good deal. I took advantage of it and also tried the hangar steak roll which I was not a fan of. They also give you two«giftcards» which you can use for your future purchases. Overall a good value but it’s a little out of the way for me.

Amazing! I would go here all the time if I could. It is not only delicious, but super affordable. If you come in between 11 – 5 pm any day, all items are BOGO50% off. Whaaaat? Not only that, but you can get a delicious smoothie for $ 1(usually $ 3.95) with the purchase of a meal. Keep in mind, you can only buy 1 of these smoothies per order, all following will be normal price. Still an excellent deal. [card minimum $ 10] In addition to bowls, they also offer sushi burritos and rolls as main dishes. All the meals come with a generous helping of side dishes: miso soup, edamame, tempura sweet potatoes, and salad. I ordered the salmon poke bowl, and everything tasted great. To me, the fish was fresh and of good quality, but I know I don’t have a very honed palate when it comes to that. It was the perfect amount of food to make me feel pleasantly full. The humongous smoothie pushed me over the edge into full to bursting territory, but it was so good that I couldn’t stop drinking it. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you like sushi head on over here during your next lunch break. Food: 5, Service: 5, Environment: 4, Price: 5
