At first I was a little skeptical about this place but it’s kinda empty and in a corner, but my mother insisted to try and so we did. Surprisingly, their food is quite good. We ordered the beef noodle soup and a side order of some tofu dish on the side. The owner was very friendly(maybe too friendly lol) and recommended dishes for us to try. She also told us that we would get a free chinese fried pancake because our bill is over $ 20. The beef noodle soup is GIGANTIC. It’s actually the biggest beef noodle that I’ve ever seen in anywhere, which of course I couldn’t even finish half. The beef is very tender and the soup tastes fairly good. The owner insisted that she doesn’t use MSG even though people keep telling her to use it(so the food would taste good). The free chinese fried pancake was also pretty good because it has very little oil(which my mom liked). Other places’ fried pancake is usually drenched in oil and that’s not very healthy. The owners’ English is very limited so I recommend you come with a friend who can speak Mandarin. She is super friendly though. I will definitely come back with my family. P. S. Cash only! They accept phone order too.

The best noodle place this side of Walnut. It is on Nogales and La Puente Rd. in front of the High School football field on the opposite corner of CVS inside the complex. The place is relatively new. The broth was so very tasty and the noodles were amazing. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and got a plate of the special dishes on the hot bar. It was a feast to enjoy. My wife got the duck noodle soup and she finished the whole thing. Quite a challenge to explain what I wanted because the owner was very nice but only spoke a little English. That cost her one star less. She said they do not use MSG, which was great because wifey is allergic to it. We will be back here again to try the other Shanghainese dishes.

I love beef noodle soup and order it religiously everywhere I bump into it.(Seems to be a safe bet at most Chinese restaurants, especially the ones where I can’t understand he menu well.) the Spicy beef stew noodle soup is one of the best I’ve had! Very spicy, tender beef, great textures noodles, great broth. Price is great for a good sized portion. Will be back soon for more :)
