Great daily soups. Good Milanesa torta. Service can be very good, seemed to once be better. I enjoy the buffet, includes typically items like: cheese enchiladas, papas con chorizo, tacos de papa, gorditas, Huevo en salsa verde, machaca, beans, rice, melon, rice pudding, café de olla, una agua fresca, panes Dulces, and some other stuff that I’m forgetting or never eat.

Have been coming to Osuna’s for over 20 years now. Lately(within the past year or so) the service is horrible. The food is still good but the service has gone down dramatically. I had stopped coming here for about a year because of this issue and my last visit just confirmed why I stopped coming in the first place. I was sat at a table with no utensils. It took about 10 minutes just to get my drink order. Another 5 minutes to get chips, still no utensils nor my drink. Another 10 minutes to take my order(25 minutes already and my order had not been taken). Finally gave my order, still no utensils and now no more chips. Waited a good 10 more minutes just to get the complimentary soup that comes with your meal. In the mean time the place is being filled with customers and not one person from the staff is acknowledging them. At least 5 bags of to go food have been sitting on the counter since I got there. Finally get my food but still no utensils nor a refill on my drink. The rice and beans are lukewarm at best but still delicious although I’ve always hated the amount of garlic that they put in their rice. The enchiladas are good but at this point I’m so disappointed with the service that I didn’t enjoy them as much. I don’t know what it is or why the service has been slacking for so long but it’s enough to make me not want to come back and that’s a shame. I’ve started to go to Mayan Tacos and am now going to try Los Amigos(I hear it’s delicious). Step up your game Osuna’s!

Three things: 1. Michelada 2. Hollenbeck Burrito 3. Nachos(chile verde or shredded beef) You are welcome. =) lol Big shopping center, tucked in the back corner with family style type of service. Order one or all of the three above and you will not be disappointed. All of the ladies that server there are really sweet and nice, and the one guy that serves as well, is pretty darn good too. They are always checking up on you, fill your drinks without being asked, bring to-go boxes when neccessary — just treat you as you would want to serve others.

Ok so this place was kinda nice. The service was very good! But the food was definitely not the best. They give you alot of ok food but nothing memorable.

It was my first time trying out this spot. It was a company dinner for Christmas Eve. We came in a group of 10 and I think we sat in the«center» of the restaurant. We came in for the buffet. I had no idea what to expect. The buffet had an assortment of Mexican food. Taquitos, chilaquiles, hard tacos, menudo(I think?), chile verde(I think?), what looked like beef stew(this one was, by far, the best one in their buffet selection), what looked like chicken swimming in green sauce(this one was actually pretty good too), flautas(I think?), what looked like a sope(I think?), rice, beans, fried beans, and a couple of others whose names escape me. I mean, I don’t know what to call them but they were all wrapped in tortilla and there were meat and veggies inside. Some had cheese on top and some were swimming in sauce. All of them were pretty good, by the way. I don’t know if I would pay the price of their buffet(I believe it was $ 15 but don’t quote me on that) for such a paltry selection of all-you-can-eat Mexican food. For a company dinner though, I can’t complain. I’m not a terribly picky eater when it comes to Mexican food. I mean, I do live in East LA, home of the taco stands and taco trucks on just about every other block. My expectations of Mexican food would basically fall between the taco stands and taco truck quality. You be the judge of that as not all taco stands are great as is true for taco trucks. So effectively, I’m giving this restaurant a pretty big leeway. Service was… dodgy? I’m not sure how to put it but it’s like they were understaffed or something. Otherwise, the two twin sisters and one other gal who were servicing our table were all relatively friendly. I’m not complaining, per se, but my co-workers asked for a beer and they disappear and forget about the beer. Eventually, my co-workers got what they wanted so there might be a bit of a communication issue? Hard to say but it did look like most of the restaurant was filled up so that might have something to do with it. They also have this salad and fruit bar where there’s an item that I can only describe as wet rice in milk.(I know that it doesn’t exactly sound very appetizing). I forgot what the name of this dessert item was but it’s like eating ice-cold sweet rice porridge. Literally. If you’re Chinese and you’ve eaten congee or rice porridge, it’s like that but thicker, super cold, and it’s really sweet with a cinnamon and/or a horchata kind of flavor. It’s the first time I’ve had something like that and it was ok. It’s sweet. Can’t really complain about it but it’s not exactly my kind of sweet, I suppose one can say. Give it a try nonetheless. Ambiance. It was loud. Louder than I expected it would be but otherwise, it had a kind of intimate feeling to it. Not romantic, per se, but I would imagine that this would be a good spot to bring a small group of friends or perhaps a small family get together. All in all, I came away with a pretty positive experience for this Mexican restaurant with a limited selection of buffet items. I’d say you should give it a try, and if you do, go for that beef stew looking item in their buffet. Really tender beef that just melts in your mouth. And I can’t quite put my finger on it but that dark sauce that they had on the beef? It’s so good. So flavorful. I had over five plates of food. Nothing spectacular but it’ll fill you up.

My family and I love coming here, there food is good and they have good service. I always love my food and there Mother’s Day breakfast is always great. I would recommend this place to my friends for good Mexican food & there menudo is great also. You can bring your pot and they will fill it up.

Just ok for me. I ate the lunch buffet on the weekday and it was mediocre at best. Mayan tacos is a lot tastier but this place was close to my work and I thought they had margaritas so I came. Nope. No margaritas and the food was not worth a return trip for me.

Expect cheap food for the buffet. Beans and rice pretty much on everything. Can’t go wrong there… for them… that is. Salad bar was fresh. I got bread pudding which was quite delicious. Drinks are extra. The ice tea was flat, so I got Pepsi. Service wasn’t bad

I’ve been coming here off n on for 15 years. Decent food. Nothing out of ordinary. Today I was sick, so I ordered posole. Worst posole I have ever had, then I remembered I had ordered once before when i was sick with same result. They used to have great albondigas. I don’t know what happened thank god I also ordered a enchilada and a taco. Those were decent. Forgot to add… posole went into the garbage. Waste of 9.00

Well i would have given this place 5 stars but i went for a second time here and it did not compare to my first visit. My first visit was great the waitress was nice and friendly and really attentive the food was great and the horchata was sooooooo good and it was fresh i loved it and the torta i got OMG it was good. The second time we came the waitress was horrible she wouldn’t come check on our drinks and the food seemed like it took forever, but the food was worth the wait. When we got our check i put the money in right away and she never came to pick it up, my hubby said we should just walk out shes not coming(joking of course) but she was talking to another table i guess she knew the ppl and all the waiting i got the attention of another person walking by and she took it for us. Wow i hope the next time i come i dont get her as my server.

Our family have been going to this place for over 15 years. We love the food and the service. If your looking for authentic, homecooked mexican food. This is the spot! About 3 weeks ago my son dropped his wallet. We came for dinner and asked to see if by any chance anyone turned in a wallet. The waitress who served 3 weeks ago cane to our table with our son’s wallet and told us she has been waiting for someone to pick it up. Our son had $ 170 and every dollar was still there. We were amazed and thankful that there are still honest and kind people out there. So please, if you’re reading this review, Osuna is a family owned with great food, great price and great service. Try it out and you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t understand why people are raving about this place. It’s not all that amazing. It’s really mediocre in my opinion and my bf agrees! We decided to try this place since it’s in walnut! Damn we should have just drove to Alberto’s or even chipotle because we were disappointed! :(the lobster burrito is pretty pricey, but we understand it’s market price. It wasn’t that great like mind blowingly good or just thinking about it makes me drool type of scenario! I had 2 tacos the carne Asada and the carnitas, they were both so-so. I mean it was good that they gave me a decent size of meat, but I felt like it wasn’t seasoned well. Also it was a C RATING! I saw the kitchen it was super messy and dirty floors :/

Good service! Most write the food takes to long to be served that is because it being made fresh, usually busy bit pricy but big delicious meal it’s all worth it! Family owned business my family are customers here at least every two weeks and had awesome service each time!

Not impressed with the food at all. I was recommended to get steak/asada in my burrito. The meat had no taste and was very dry. No seasoning at all or wasn’t even grilled like steak should be. Instead it was boiled with no intentions to taste good. Needs new cooking staff that knows what they’re doing. They should be ashamed to serve this food. The rest of the food is not good. Unless you have basic taste buds. Waste of money. Family oriented and not clean. Not recommended.

Let me start off with the service. It was great! My bf and I were the only ones here and they took about 40 mins to bring out our food. There were about 4 employees. I’d understand if more ppl were here eating but WEWERETHEONLYONESHERE lol. That was the only sucky part. Other then that food was good. Tried the lobster burrito and omg its HUGE and yummmy.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. Last time I was here the albertson was still open. The plaza has gone down hill since and so has Osunas. It’s really sad because I used to love this place. But now the restaurant needs a major remodel. The strong scent of chlorine when you first walk in doesn’t get your appetite ready to eat there. The food is now very mediocre and the service is just dreary. I feel bad for this review but it’s unfortunately the truth. I really hope this place can improve, I really miss it.

My husband sons and I have been going to Osuna’s since they first opened and have watched this little gem grow over the years. We always have great service and food. I especially like the Sunday Buffet and the Tamarindo Margarita. Yum! Recently, we celebrated my mother in law’s 81st birthday and everyone who attended loved the restaurant and the prices. Keep up the great food and service everyone! See you on Sunday.

Standard Mexican hole-in-the-wall place. Robust menu and a great Sunday brunch that has a laudable array of sweet breads(pan dulce). Great fresh-made guacamole. make sure you ask for your margarita on the rocks, or they default to blended.

My mom has been wanting to try this place ever since I got back from school, and we finally gave it a try. After being in Boston for four months, I was happy to be reunited with legit Mexican food. :’) Their lobster burrito is freaking amazing… sigh I was in heaven for about 13 minutes before it disappeared before my very eyes. We also ordered the taquitos, which were also pretty good. They have lunch buffet and stuff so be sure to check that out if that’s something you’re interested in. Looks like cafeteria food but it seemed to garner a lot of attention while we were there. The chips they give you when you first get seated are really good, as well. Taste the salsa. Mmmm.
