El Pollo Loco

Consistently poor service… when will we learn?
Hoping for a burger and fries alternative, we decided to head over to El Pollo Loco. We waited in line for at least 10 minutes while the one employee behind the register took orders. I don’t know what caused the length of time for the two parties in front of us to order, but it took forever.
Finally we order and, our order was not special or anything extravagant. A 3 piece meal and a salad. That was at 5:50. At 6:15, I went to check on our order… they had my salad ready, but not the 3 piece meal for my husband. At 6:30, he finally decided to cancel his order and we left.
There was no explanation as to what took more than half an hour to produce chicken in a fast food chicken chain.
There was no reason why the patrons who ordered after us had been served and left before our meal was produced, or in my husbands case, not produced.
There is no reason for us to return. EVER.

This is by far the worst location. Poor service and bad food. I visited last night, and my order (s) are pretty simple. 2 crunchy tacos and a large horchata! I took a sip of my drink and there was absolutely no flavor in my drink. I kindly let the worker know, and what does she respond with? Do you want sugar packs? Uh, no moron. The worst part of it all, I get home. Ready to munch on my lovely lunch and realized that my tacos were not even made correctly. They used left over chicken, (junky leftover chicken bits) tossed it in sauce and voila! I will never spend another pretty penny at this location.

if I can give a zero star or negative I will. I dine in here for the first time and its so filthy! to add on to this, customer service sucks! I asked for a to go container for a salsa and the girl with curly hair said she cant and just gave me a plastic bag instead. and I had no choice so I just used my cup of water for my to go salsa and this one mexican guy with high waist pants said I cant do it coz its crossed contamination. I know that coz i work in reataurant too and its not like the tongs is in contact with the cup, they gave me no choice! and so they ended up giving me salsa container and the guy said dont do it again. i just held my anger so i didnt talked back. how can u guys talk about cross contamination if ur kitchen is as dirty as hell and dining area is filthy?! lazy and dirty employees. dont go here! they just bus out tables but never wipe it! health department should recheck this place. they got grade A but definitely not an A! this place should be shut down!

I mean what can I say it’s a fast food joint but this is just a messy place to eat at, it really takes the apatite away.

This location does not deserve a star I went today nobody on waiting on line there were some crews on the counter and fixing the other customers order 2 of them no one ever acknowledge my prcence there it’s good after some minutes there was this young girl who told me that there was a 25 mins wait time if I want to order a chicken my goodness I’ve been to a lot if pollo Loco restaurants already more busier that this and this is the first time I’ve ever heard this 25 mins wait time this branch should have a new mangememt. Date visited is today July.29,2015 time between 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

This place doesn’t even deserve a star! This is the second time I get poor service! The girl at the window, Christine I think it is throws my money at me and is so RUDE! She has an attitude like I’m bothering her. She threw my money at me and I was like «excuse me can I get some salsa»… She turned her back on me and pretended to do something else both times! Both times I’ve gone and it wasn’t even busy. Then to make matters worse the cook (dressed all in black) is flirting with a worker and grabs her butt and pinches the sides of her waist not even noticing I was still there at the drive thru! The girl giggles and brushes him off pointing at me and he laughs and then just looks away. Check your cameras and you’ll see! Are you SERIOUS ELPL? Wth is going on? This place needs to be closed down! Hire people that are willing to work. I won’t ever go there again! Blame it on Crystal or Christine whatever her name is at the window taking orders! She is horrible!!! I’m writing a letter to the corporate office!

The worst El Pollo Loco ever!!! My 7 yr. old daughter got food poisoning! And it was last year the day before Thanksgiving!!! Which we couldn’t go anywhere to celebrate with our families because of food poisoning! I am even called corporate and they did nothing about it… We have not had any El Pollo Loco since… But I do know the one in Pico Rivera is the best!!!

This location is really friendly and fast. Come here all the time. It seems like they made changes with the employees. It was about time.

Went to the drive thru and got the 8pcs. Family meal that comes with 2 large sides. When I got home there’s only 4pcs of chicken and the sides container is half filled. So I have to drive back there to complain since no one is answering the phone when I tried to call. I just hope the manager has the courtesy for the trouble they made. But the way I see the other reviews, it seems that they don’t care. I just hope the corporate office will handle this stuff since it affects the brand, even though this location is a franchise.

They always run out of chicken! It’s ridiculous! Same excuse, «Lot’s of families have been ordering family meals.»

Came to the drive thru this evening and ordered an 8pc meal Mixed (2 of each) so I get home and I get nothing but wings and thighs. Chicken was very old and cold. I gave them a call and the so called «manager» gave me an atittude and said I couldnt have gotten a mixed mean since they had no breasts and wings for over an hour… Never apologized or anything. Terrible service! Never coming back…

Came here thanks to the coupon I recieved in the mail for 2 combos for $ 10. It was my turn to order and before even saying anything the cashier tells us its going to be a 15 minute wait… And I was like «for chicken?» And she was like «for everything! Because I’m the only one working and you see all the people!» I was just like uhhhh… There were clearly other people working in the back she wasn’t alone. Anyway we ordered the combo on the coupon… Went to get my drink and there was no ice in the soda machine! Strike 1. After waiting for about 20 min we got our food to find that the combo came with 4 pieces of chicken and 3 small sides (by small I mean only good for 1 person) and the corn side meant only 1 corn… Which turned out to be soggy brown old corn that seemed like it had been sitting out for a few days. It was gross. This coupon deal shouldve said «good for 1 ½ combos». It also came with salad which had a drop of dressing on it! I took one bite and there was no more dressing left! Why be so shady on the dressing though? Being that our sides were so small I ordered a side of rice… Which had pieces of hard rice in it getting stuck in between my teeth! Ugh! One of my biggest food annoyances. Which brings me to the corn tortillas… they had hard crispy edges which might as well have made them tostadas! The guac and the salsa from the bar tasted a bit off today to top it off. and they forgot our chocolate churros which were on the receipt and on the coupon.
The good part of the meal was the chicken but only cause it was fresh off the grill. I’ve had el pollo loco plenty of times and have enjoyed it very much but I will not be coming back to this location! Faiiilllllll.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! The two times I’ve come here through the drive thru I’ve had to pull my car forward to the front to wait for my food because they were out of chicken and I had to wait for more to be cooked. The service is horrible also, rude to the customers. It’s not my fault you don’t want to be there. Overall I’d suggest not coming here.

Worst el pollo loco ever. Slowest service, inside and drive-​thru. They’re always out of something… Like chicken. They have horrible customer service and move at the pace of snails. Get Wendy’s next door.

I’ve come here 6 times hoping the bad service was an anomaly. Unfortunately, it took 5 min waiting in line with one person in front of me. In addition, there were no side cups in stock at the sauce and veggie counter. In addition, half of the tables were dirty and needed to be cleaned.

Came here with my husband, stepdaughter, and good friend to eat our late lunch and dinner. Service was slow, and they gave our order wrong. Place was not that clean either and the salsa area was low and had to request some salsa.
Reason for the 3 stars is because the place ain’t clean, service is slow and got the order wrong, and the salsa was low and had to request for salsa to be filled. Wish they could fix the errors they have to have better reviews.

Ordered a Chicken Avacado Burrito and no Avacado in it and they argued with me as I had the burrito in front of them. Then she hands me avacado in a small cup… Wendys next door is looking better right now…

If you want to eat healthy and not feel TOO guilty… pick up some loco, El Pollo Loco, that is :
Their Pollo Bowl is amazing with some creamy cilantro sauce on the side.

I don’t know what’s up with the negative feedback!
The girl that helped me had the biggest smile from cheek to cheek, was so polite, and made me un-​cranky after placing my order.
I got my food super fast, was asked if I needed extra sauces, I bugged her I don’t know for how many things, and never once did she get annoyed.

This will be a quick & short review…
First off I love El Pollo Loco Chicken, not so much the side dishes but that Flame Grilled Chicken Rocks, So you’ve probably seen the TV commercials for their NEW Flame Grilled «Sirloin Steak» so my Wife wanted to go try it, well I’ll check out the Tacos…
Flame Grilled Sirloin Steak Tacos $ 2.09 each
First off the price is too high, but… if they tasted good I would overlook that. BUT the SO CALLED Sirloin Steak did not even taste like Beef, nor did I get any of the flame grilled flavor, the only saving grace was this El Pollo loco actually had a good Spicy Salsa.
