Thanks to the double bitch slaps of Hurricane Irene & Lee our roof had some serious issues. We had shingles going air borne and more leakage than your incontinent Aunt Edna. After a few consultations it was decided that based on the age of what was left we needed to just replace the whole damn thing. When I say the whole damn thing(shingles, flashing, drip edge, sheathing, and chimney cap) I mean the whole damn thing. We called a few other roofers/contractors and while some were nice and some were quite the sleaze; all of them either had prices that were really expensive or they would not give us anything resembling a timetable for starting. Enter Jack Yons. Now I’m not going to say that this review isn’t somewhat biased because Jack is my wife’s uncle but he came and gave us a price that was very reasonable without gimmicks and a timetable that was honest. This whole deal was not perfect because Jack has one big flaw and that is he does have a bit of an issue communicating when there is going to be a delay on his side. Due to a family health problem and an emergency issue with another client of his we had to wait for quite some time past the agreed start date. This was eventually explained to us but it took a lot longer than what it should have. As for the workmanship, everything was A+. Jack and his team cleaned up nicely after each day’s work and twice they worked well into the night with flood lamps trying to get things done faster and to make sure that things were cleaned up before they left. We are definitely satisfied with how everything looks and after a few drizzles everything is high and dry. Was this a 5 star experience? No, but that was only because of the initial unexplained wait. It was a definitely a solid four and I was not hesitate to call him again in the future for other projects.
