Nice place in Walpole for some Mexican food. Love getting the fajitas. A little pricey, yet still manageable. Food came out hot, and tasty. What else can you really ask for. When I was drinking I had a Mojito, that just knocked me on my ass. That was the first and last time I had one of them. But it was sooooo good. The Fajitas at Chili’s are just as good and $ 3-$ 4 less.

Been here a couple times so I figured it was time to chime in. I enjoy the atmosphere the most about Jalapenos, I love the lanterns, the décor and the music. It all adds to the experience. The service I had on both of my visits was great and the servers are friendly and help guide you on the menu if you are feeling a little overwhelmed. Attentive to drink refills(I pretty much only ever have water but always have a full cup!) and also check in enough to be endearing but not overbearing. The food is good, not amazing and nothing that has blown me away but when I am looking for it, I know where to come, and trust me it is not a bad thing! I prefer this location over others in the area due to how comfortable it is and the service. I keep reading good things about the Margs, so I guess I should try one eventually. Keep up the good work Jalapeño’s, you are doing great.

There aren’t that many great Mexican restaurants in the area — but this one is pretty good! The sangria is great and the chiles rellenos are fabulous! Most places have mediocre chips & salsa but the salsa here is home-made and really good. I have been here many times over the years and am not sure why there are so many 1 or 2 star reviews.

Definitely not for anyone who likes Tex Mex. it’s a little more authentic, but still not one of the better Mexican meals I’ve had. The fajita was good, but the chips and salsa left a lot to be desired.

Stopped in for dinner before a show at Gilette. Not sure why this place gets so many two stars– the food, service, and drinks were all lovely! We loved the chips and pico(our waitress had to refill it for us), the drinks were fantastic(HUGE margs and delicious sangria), and the food was great! I had an enchilada and normally I end up regretting it after because of how drenched they are in liquid but these were the perfect ratio of mole/sour cream/cheese to chicken! Our waitress was super helpful and attentive. Would definitely come back :)

Chips and salsa(pico) were great, but the food was bland. That’s about it. Meh at best.

This place is awesome! We have been many times. Coming from living in New Mexico more then 20 years I was really hopeful to get Mexican food here in New England. Overall this place is legit on the food options, taste and style in which the food was made. They have great beers and awesome margaritas and the service has always been stellar. Only thing I wish they had is real green and red chile instead of the green poblano sauce or red tomato paste.

We eat here when the weather is nice so we can enjoy the food, the big margarita’s and keep our son distracted by the cars and trucks driving by. The food is always great. The service is better than most places. I’ve tried about 6 dishes here and I’ve enjoyed all of them. The portions are big enough that I can fill up on half of my meal and bring the rest home for lunch the next day. Gotta love the complimentary warm chips and slightly spicy salsa that you get while figuring out what order. They are quite good. We rarely leave any of that uneaten. The prices are perhaps a couple of dollars more than they should be for a few of the plates, but that’s just nitpicking.

As a lover of Mexican, it is great to have a local place in Walpole. Aside from the margaritas, I find the quality of the food at Jalapeño’s less than mediocre. The prices are quite high for not only the portions, but the quality. I would like to give a shutout to the bartenders, as they are always friendly and welcoming. The flavor selection for margaritas is pretty good as well. I’d recommend this local establishment to grab a drink, some chips and salsa and gossip with friends.

They have increased the prices of their wine recently, and their mixed drinks have started tasting watered down. They used to be great, what happened?

Service was good. Salsa and chips were good. Ordered vegetarian enchilada with spicy sauce. Vegetable inside enchilada seemed like they were not fresh. Enchilada, beans or rice did not have any flavor. It was suppose to be hot sauce on enchilada but instead the green sauce was sour and was not spicy at all. Would not order that again. May be other dishes might be good.

Urgh, just urghhhhhh!!! We stopped for a quick lunch on a Friday only to find out their lunch menu is only valid Monday to Thursday — lame. I didn’t feel like spending $ 15 for a subpar burrito so I ended up with a bowl of bean soup. Blah.

Driving through MA on Christmas eve, we ended up having dinner here and it was great! The tamales were fresh and tasty, the white cranberry sangria refreshingly cool on the palate and the service was friendly and quick. Maria, our waitress, was so much fun — even if she was working on Christmas eve! A fabulous find!

I would give this place a 2.5. The sangria is AMAZING however the service is terrible. We asked our waitress if we could get chicken fajitas for two, she said it wasn’t a problem except when our fajitas finally came out it was one serving and not two. This was fine until our bill came out and she had charged is for two portions. We didn’t argue, we just wanted to get out

Second review. We’ve had dinner twice in the last month. There is a restaurant side and a sports bar side, take your choice. The food is well prepared and the plates are a lot of food, so come hungry because you were going to want to eat it all. There is a good selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian. There are daily specials that may or may not be truly«daily,» we just haven’t gone two days in a row to check. The chips, salsa and the guacamole are all fresh. As with my past review, I am partial to more heat and more flavor, but there are two good bottled sauces at the table, which I added liberally. The big difference between my first and this review is not the restaurant, but me. I appreciate more now competent food and the time savings of someone else creating it for me. The staff, bar and kitchen at Jalapeños provide good food, fast. That’s all I ask.

Nice décor, excellent waitress, now for the food. I had the calamari appetizer, and a combo plate. This was a lot of food. I would suggest the calamari would be great for two to three regular appetites. They have a tomato based marinade they drizzle over it, and it was excellent. If you like your calamari without the drizzle, just let the server know. The combo, rice, beans, stuffed poblano, chicken enchilada. Very good, and the sauces were excellent. Nice bar, looks like a fun place to watch a game.

Had lunch at Jalapeño’s for the first time. Huge restaurant, but it seems to cater more towards dinner than a lunchtime crowd. There were about six other people in the restaurant when I was there at 1pm. Great, friendly staff. Salsa and chips were fresh. Got my order in less than 5 minutes.
