Pizza here is a spitting image of Waltham pizza, the pizza is identical I almost thought that I was at Waltham pizza. Service is ok pretty average pizza nothing special. I’m assuming that 90% of this places business is from brandies students. Steak and chesse sub was werid didn’t look like the chesse was even melted. 2.5 stars but I’ll round it up to 3 stars.

In my opinion, Cappy’s has the best pizza in Waltham. I don’t even eat cheese, but even without it, it’s flavorful and filling. The sauce is maybe a little bit on the salty side, but four stars for consistently yummy pizza with a crunchy crust.

I had a nice meal at Cappy’s(steak tips with onions, peppers, and mushrooms, plus a nice salad and fries). But what I really want to talk about is their lovely staff. I came to Cappy’s because I got stranded in that area on a Sunday evening, when I got the commuter rail schedule wrong. So I decided to step into Cappy’s and have some dinner before calling a cab. The two young ladies were friendly and helpful as they took my order. Then my cellphone died. They didn’t just let me use their phone, they went the extra mile to make sure I got what I needed. They helped me find the number of a cab company, use their phone to call for it, and even suggested a cheaper way to get home(take a cab to the bus stop at Waltham center, instead of going all the way into Cambridge). I can’t thank them enough for their help, and I’m so glad they were open that night.

Pizza is ok, I can’t really complain about the food quality here. But the service is really horrible, the lady that work in the front who has a blonde hair and European accent act like if she is doing u a favor when she is taking your order. Gave me a really bad attitude when I edited my order with an additional slice because she had to do the«extra favor» of punching in my order into her register again… this is not acceptable, does she not want people to order more? The pizza is not bad… but other places make them just as good if not better.

Cappy’s makes a ridiculous meatball sub. I got a small and was still enough for two meals. I hammered the entire thing down in one shot though, because I am a fat pig. I actually like their salads there as well. I like getting a greek salad with grilled chicken. The pizza is average, nothing special. I miss the older woman that used to yell and scream orders from the register. Haven’t seen her lately, everything is automated now.

I worked near Cappy’s for 7 years, and recently moved away, still visiting it during lunch here and there when I amin town working — as it’s ok food. What has really gotten bad is the service. The people who ring you up act as if they are doing you a favor — and the woman in the front, in particular, could not be less helpful. I am not spending any more of my money in Cappy’s. They have really slipped.

I’ve only had two things at this place, the Steak Tips on pita bread and Eggplant parm sub. Although the steak tips wasn’t build properly, as everything was falling, it was delicious. The eggplant parmessan sub was simply, perfection! I can still taste it! Perfect bread, perfect temperature, perfect breading, perfect amount of sauce and cheese, perfect amount of eggplant… And they are fast too! They are busy but they still get the food out quickly and tasty. Kudos for them! This is not a fancy place and it’s small but it’s just fine for office folks who can enjoy a quick lunch inside or in the outside tables(unless it’s 100 F degrees out and are desperate for A/C like me…) One thing I hate about this place — the door and a stupid noise it makes every single time someone walks in. It is irritating! Imagine a basketball player rubbing their shoes on a basketball court making that sound, over, and over, and over again…

if you are a Brandeis student and all you are looking for is some greasy pizza, Cappy’s is very close by. However, the food here is extremely low quality. The past two times i have gone there I have been left with a stomache ache for the hours following my meal. My most recent experience was last night when I ordered a BBQ Calzone and a friend ordered the Chicken alfredo pasta. The Calzone was very greasy, and I ate half of it. My friend finished his pasta. 30 minutes later, I was feeling pretty sick. I didn’t say anything about it until my friend mentioned that he felt nauseous as well. An hour later, he was throwing up in the bathroom. I did not throw up, but almost wish I had. I felt crappy for the rest of the night, and will probably never eat at Cappy’s again. I have never felt great after eating Cappy’s, but this last experience topped it off.

Perhaps it’s my fault for not speaking fluent Greek, but if you are planning to put Lamb on a pizza, you should alert your vegetarian clientele by listing it on the TOPPINGS. And if you get a call from an upset customer, perhaps don’t tell them that it’s their fault. And if you’re going to have a Feedback page, perhaps you should send it to a working email address. Revision: after driving the pizza back from whence it came, the manager did make things right and promise to update the website listings and email issues. Added a star for this, but still do not appreciate being made to feel stupid.

Cappy’s food is not out-of-this-world. Yet, their pizzas and hot subs have been reliably good on the dozens of occasions I’ve been there over the years. It’s like that friend who’s not your best friend, but with whom you can always count on having a good time. The price isn’t cheap, but it is a convenient and affordable alternative to Brandeis campus food. I believe they accept WhoCash. The service is reasonable. Their delivery service saved me from starvation on some occasions when it was too cold to leave my room and Usdan and Sherman were both closed over a winter break. If I were to recommend an item, it would be the Veggie Special pizza, which comes with cheese, mushroom, peppers, onions, broccoli, black olives, and spinach. As other reviews point out, Cappy’s uses fresh vegetables and is pretty generous on the toppings. Yay for making pizza more nutritious.

I went to Cappy’s with a friend for lunch and instead of ordering a pizza today, I had a fried chicken dinner with fries and salad. I would say that my visit/meal was sub-satisfactory. 1) The woman at the counter gave us an attitude. — The only food that I’ve purchased from Cappy’s was pizza and it took awhile before we knew what we wanted. Although there are numerous options available, it is somewhat hard to choose since most of the dishes are very similar anyways. I’m not sure if the woman at the counter was having an off day, but she made a snarky comment about us taking too long to order and wondering if we would do this on an exam. I normally wouldn’t mind someone making a comment about taking a long time to order, but her tone was very rude and condescending. 2) The food was definitely not worth the price. — For about $ 9 I got some small greasy pieces of flavorless chicken, some decently crunchy fries and side salad. The only thing that I could taste in the chicken was the oil that it was fried in, and the fries were extremely dry. And nothing was seasoned!!! It was bland and boring. Since finishing the chicken and fries, I have this«gross» feeling that’s really difficult to describe. I won’t be ordering from that section of the menu again. Lesson: Only order the pizza.

Having had the pizza here a couple of times, I’d say it’s average. It’s definitely the better of the worst in Waltham. The pizza is a big portion for the money. However, it tends to be really oily. I’ve asked it to be well done everytime, but it never is. Again, it’s ehh. Only really get it when too busy with work.

It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again. Cappy’s has awful pizza. The pie we got was so oily, it had soaked through the wax paper and the delivery box it came in. Definitely no need to go here, though the friendliness of the staff is by far Cappy’s most redeeming quality.

I got a large Cappy’s pizza and shared it. The pizza was huge and we couldn’t finish it. The pizza is really really good and the ingredients they use to make it are quality ingredients as well. However, their prices are a little bit high. Maybe because it is one of the few restaurants that is near Brandeis so they take advantage of that. If the prices were a little bit cheaper and the service improves a bit, this place is a solid 4 star. I will be coming back for sure and will update my review.

I have not been back to Cappy’s since Brandeis graduation, which was a while ago, May 1999 to be exact, but Cappy’s will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t tell you how many times I ordered the chicken parm wedge back in the day. It had a unique deliciousness to it… although, maybe you need to be young and in college to appreciate such strangely good fried mass produced chicken product on a wedge. One day I will return to relive my glorious days in Waltham… no doubt, I will stop at Cappy’s.

Endearingly called«Crappy Pizza» by the Brandeis Owl students, Cappy’s Pizza is a no-frills, nondescript pizza place that can be found in many neighborhoods in America. While I would never bring a date here, this place is a good spot for a quick lunch or dinner. The pizza and everything else on the menu is average — but as Mom likes to say«you get what you pay for.»

I don’t have any problems with this pizza place. The food is decent, prices are reasonable, and I’ve enjoyed the food the few times I’ve been. Not the best, but not the worst. If you’re in the mood for pizza, and close to Brandeis, I’d say go ahead and try it.

Oh cappy’s. Would brandeis students eat here if it weren’t so close? That’s debatable. the food is good, greasy and cheap. The service is quick. They deliver, even if your dorm is 20 feet away. Honestly, this is campus food, or if you need a huge sandwich for cheap. The cons? I feel years of my life slide away with my chicken wings or eggplant parm. The eggs are very meh, but I am an egg-lover so my standards are pretty high. Still, you can’t spell brandeis without cappy’s… And C, two p’s, and an apostrophe.

Cappy’s menus seem to bombard my mailbox no matter where I move… if only they spent more time on their food and less time on their solicitations I think their food has potential to be phenomenal. But alas, this is not the case. While the food is not«bad» by any means, it’s not«grrrreat» either. Spicy fries are not so spicy. Steak tips, aren’t really steak tips, but more like steak subs grade meat(flank?) but just not cut up completely. While the juices coming out of it were good, it just wasn’t a true«steak tip» dinner. For me, the meat was overcooked and a bit too salty, but hey it’s edible and was tasty, just not what I had expected it to be.

Nothing divides foodies like pizza. Cappy’s serves up above-average Greek style pizza. Pizza snobs who don’t appreciate non-Italian cheeses on their pizza, and less sweeter sauces will want to look elsewhere or face dire disappointment. Two things really surprised me about Cappy’s: One, the people who work there are among the most cheerful and friendly I have ever experienced in a pizza place. Two, they use REALLY fresh veggies on their pizzas. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered vegetables on my pizza from places that slop on nasty old or processed veggies. Not here. Everything has that fresh crunch and clean flavor that tells me it was cut that day. It hasn’t been sitting in pre-sliced bags for a week or so in the fridge. So while the pizza may not be exemplary, the fresh ingredients are a cut above the rest.
